What we can help with
A video that will not transcribe
Send us the YouTube link. Most failures are a missing caption track or a region block, and we can usually tell you which one within a message or two.
Billing and refunds
Questions about a charge, a trial, or a refund for AI transcription. Include the email address you paid with so we can find the record.
Bug reports
Something broke or looked wrong. Tell us the browser and, if you can, the video link — it makes the difference between a guess and a fix.
Feature requests
A format we do not export, a language we do not cover, a workflow that is one step too long. Several shipped features started as an email.
API and MCP
Using our MCP server or the transcript endpoint in your own tool, and something is not behaving. Include what you called and what came back.
Press and partnerships
Interviews, integrations, or anything commercial. Same address — put "press" or "partnership" in the subject line.
Managing a subscription
If you have a paid plan for AI transcription, you can open the billing portal from the account menu on the site to update your payment method, download invoices, or cancel — no email required, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for.
If you cannot find that entrance, or the portal will not load, just write to us and we will handle the cancellation or refund manually. We would rather cancel a subscription for you than have you fight with a menu.
Privacy and data requests
To request deletion of any personal data we hold, write to the same address and say so — we respond within 30 days. What we collect and how long we keep it is described in our Privacy Policy.
Before you write
A few answers that come up often are already on the site: the FAQ on the home page covers supported videos, languages, download formats, and how to use a transcript with ChatGPT or Claude. If a video simply has no captions, our troubleshooting page explains what is happening and what to do about it.
Not affiliated with YouTube or Google. youtube-transcript.ai is an independent service. If your question is about your YouTube account, a copyright claim, or a video that is not ours, we cannot help — but Google Support can.
