[01:32] most exciting journeys you could
[01:34] possibly get involved with this program
[01:36] you were born wrench is the most
[01:39] effective personal development program

[02:03] personalities people just like you and I
[02:06] who have been involved in this program
[02:08] and it's made a tremendous difference in
[02:10] their life consider this just like that
[02:15] baby when you and I were born we were
[02:17] natural born risk takers we had no
[02:20] limitations we were free to step out and
[02:24] do everything we wanted to do now some
[02:26] of the people that you are going to see
[02:29] interviewed have attended this seminar
[02:31] some of them a number of times most of
[02:34] them at least twice the real benefit of
[02:38] having this seminar on the video is that
[02:41] you can stop the tape at any time and go
[02:44] back and play it over again you see
[02:46] reading and memorizing or just watching
[02:49] this really is not going to do you any
[02:51] good
[02:51] you must understand and apply the ideas
[02:55] now the exercise book your action
[02:58] planner that's in your program is
[03:01] vitally important it's probably one of
[03:04] the most important elements in your
[03:06] entire born rich program it's vitally
[03:09] important that is I suggest you get
[03:11] involved in an exercise you take it and
[03:14] you really get involved stop the tape
[03:16] think of where you are and
[03:18] think of where you want to go and
[03:20] complete the exercise don't put it off
[03:22] literally where this buck out now what
[03:26] I'd like you to do it's come with me

[03:56] world ladies and gentlemen here to lead
[04:00] you through your journey into your own
[04:02] powerful potential mr. John canary and
[04:06] mr. Bob Proctor
[04:58] can we do better than that how you
[05:01] feeling I'll tell you what I'm gonna do
[05:04] Robert
[05:05] could all the people in this side of the
[05:06] room just remain silent for just a
[05:08] moment let's just try this side the room
[05:09] see who wins this contest so far you
[05:11] feeling whoa my turn now let's see whose
[05:17] side you're on here all right how do you
[05:19] feel sorry ol buddy looks like you won
[05:23] we're gonna get started with Robert why
[05:33] I wanna wish you a very warm welcome to
[05:36] our seminar here today and we've got a
[05:38] special guest who is sitting at home and
[05:41] we're inviting that person into our
[05:43] seminar and they're going to experience
[05:45] everything you're going to experience I
[05:47] know many of you've been through our
[05:48] seminars before some of you have never
[05:50] been through our seminars but I think
[05:52] you'll find if you keep your mind wide
[05:54] open just sit back and relax you're
[05:57] gonna find it a pretty interesting
[05:58] experience I've often mentioned that we
[06:01] never give anybody a brain hernia with
[06:03] the information we use it's all very
[06:05] simple and it's very very effective you
[06:08] know I've spent a long time studying the
[06:11] subject of why we do what we do and why
[06:13] we don't do some of the things that we'd
[06:15] really like to do and I've come to the
[06:17] conclusion that the two main elements in
[06:20] a successful fulfilled life is
[06:23] motivation and education and if we get a
[06:26] proper balance of motivation and
[06:28] education we're going to find that we're
[06:30] going to be led into some very wise
[06:32] decisions that will inspire us into some
[06:35] intelligent action and we will live a
[06:37] very very fulfilled life what I would
[06:40] like to suggest you do is flip to them
[06:43] by page two in your action planet take
[06:48] your action planner and turn to page two
[07:01] you know some time ago John canary gave
[07:04] me a little piece of literature about
[07:08] getting out of the comfort zone that was
[07:09] written by Bob Gregg's in southern
[07:11] Florida and there's some excellent
[07:14] information in here many of us are
[07:17] pretty comfortable in our life we've got
[07:18] a reasonably good income the mortgage is
[07:21] paid there's feud in the fridge we've
[07:23] got a nice warm bed to sleep in
[07:25] and everything seems to be floating
[07:27] along just fine and you know a person in
[07:30] that position could very easily think
[07:32] why would I want to do anything to
[07:34] change this well we have found that if
[07:37] your life is not going in one direction
[07:39] yet absolutely by law must be moving in
[07:43] another direction and Riggs is talking
[07:45] about that here he said many of us have
[07:48] established a comfort zone in our lives
[07:50] we're just coasting along taking the
[07:53] line of least resistance just getting by
[07:56] now he said this is a very common and
[07:58] understandable attitude we've all worked
[08:01] hard to get to where we are and it may
[08:03] seem a very good place to be the problem
[08:06] with this is that once we stop reaching
[08:09] stretching seeking and risking we
[08:13] actually stop growing
[08:14] now Riggs goes on to say that the
[08:16] comfort zone frame of mind
[08:19] yes settling for what we are today that
[08:23] may be fine today but without continued
[08:27] growth and I believe this is the key
[08:29] line coming up we are now all we are
[08:32] ever going to be now for me that would
[08:36] be a fairly disturbing thought he went
[08:38] on to say if you're in a comfort zone
[08:41] beware the danger of a comfort zone is
[08:44] that it doesn't hurt and it might even
[08:47] feel good many take that to mean it's a
[08:51] good place to be but it's not a comfort
[08:54] zone maybe what is holding you back from
[08:57] real growth real accomplishment and
[09:00] you're potentially exciting and
[09:03] rewarding future now I've mentioned if
[09:06] we're not going in one direct
[09:08] we must by law be going in another
[09:10] direction you're either creating or
[09:14] you're disintegrating whenever we hear
[09:17] persons say I like it just the way it is
[09:21] we know that person is advertising their
[09:23] ignorance of a very basic law of life
[09:25] because absolutely nothing stays the way
[09:28] it is now if you'll take a look at the
[09:32] top of page 2 there is a concept there
[09:36] by Sidney
[09:37] Herbert Wood and it's the test of an
[09:40] educated person I think many of us have
[09:43] had a false concept programmed into our
[09:46] mind with respect to education we I
[09:49] think I've been raised to believe that
[09:51] education is going to school for a
[09:53] certain number of years and be able to
[09:55] correctly answer a series of questions
[09:57] but you know many people will go to
[09:59] school all their life and be able to
[10:01] correctly answer the questions but then
[10:03] when it comes to getting out into the
[10:04] marketplace and really making it happen
[10:06] they just don't know how to compete many
[10:09] are withdrawn they they don't even feel
[10:12] comfortable meeting or greeting a
[10:13] stranger well would said the test of an
[10:16] educated person is can I entertain a new
[10:19] idea now I think you know and I know
[10:22] that if we're going to improve we have
[10:24] to have a very open mind I once heard
[10:26] that an open mind was being prepared to
[10:28] throw away some of our most cherished
[10:31] beliefs when a better idea comes along
[10:33] now you'll find that the vast majority
[10:35] of people seems to back into the future
[10:39] dragging all of their old experience
[10:41] with them when they're confronted with a
[10:43] new idea they asked does it fit if it
[10:46] doesn't then they say it's wrong now
[10:49] what we want to do is ask ourself would
[10:53] this new idea improve the quality of my
[10:56] life or what it'd get me going in the
[10:57] other direction can I entertain a new
[11:00] idea today and tomorrow you're going to
[11:04] be asked to entertain many new ideas but
[11:06] every one of the ideas that we're going
[11:08] to share with you are going to be
[11:10] positive they're going to be creative
[11:11] they're going to be constructive and
[11:12] they'll definitely improve the quality
[11:14] of your life then we see the second one
[11:17] can I entertain another person now
[11:20] there's many people
[11:22] that would feel totally uncomfortable
[11:24] walking up to a stranger and just saying
[11:27] hi how are you today
[11:28] pleased to meet you Jan now do you know
[11:32] some people when it comes to meeting a
[11:34] person their head is down their hand is
[11:37] wet they're shaking inside their heart
[11:40] is pounding and they only do it because
[11:44] they really have to they would just
[11:46] assume pull away from the new person now
[11:48] that individual has not learned very
[11:51] much if anything about themselves
[11:53] because we should feel totally
[11:55] comfortable meeting anyone anywhere at
[11:57] any time and then you ask can I
[12:00] entertain myself well do you know many
[12:02] people are not able to entertain
[12:03] themselves I spent half my life not
[12:05] being able to entertain myself I always
[12:07] had to be around someone else
[12:09] it was always come on let's have a party
[12:11] I absolutely hated being alone and that
[12:14] was because I really didn't like myself
[12:16] now I have found through studying the
[12:18] ideas that we're gonna cover here over
[12:20] the next couple of days we can develop
[12:22] into very interesting and reasoning
[12:25] companions most of the time that we live
[12:27] we do spend with their self and you're
[12:29] going to find that some of the very best
[12:31] conversations you ever have are going to
[12:33] be with yourself I get so excited about
[12:34] some of mine I talk right out loud I
[12:36] dress you know strange look from people
[12:39] from time to time but you get such great
[12:42] ideas going in your mind that you just
[12:44] can't help it now here in the first
[12:46] paragraph we say that this program you
[12:49] were born rich is based on the premise
[12:52] that you have rich resources lying
[12:54] dormant within you I have heard many
[12:57] people laugh when they take a look at
[12:59] our program or take a look at the title
[13:01] of the book bored and rich
[13:02] you see they think that means that
[13:04] you've been born into great wealth some
[13:07] people are but some people are not
[13:09] but everyone without exception has been
[13:12] born with tremendous resources Lange
[13:16] within them we've got deep reservoirs of
[13:18] talent and ability and through following
[13:21] right rules and natural laws we're gonna
[13:25] find that we can draw that potential to
[13:27] the surface and we can bring it to bear
[13:29] and it will cause the manifestation of
[13:32] prosperity in our material world now in
[13:35] almost all the seminars that either John
[13:37] or myself does we take and we put an are
[13:40] here in the morgue now what I would like
[13:43] to suggest you do is you let that our
[13:45] represent the results that you're
[13:47] getting in your life now there's three
[13:49] areas that we're going to suggest that
[13:51] you focus on one is happiness
[13:54] one is health and another one is
[13:56] material wealth now when I first started
[13:59] to study this material I was not happy I
[14:01] was not healthy and I definitely was not
[14:04] wealthy
[14:05] I had a chapter sit down with me and he
[14:08] saw something in me that I obviously
[14:09] wasn't capable of seeing in myself his
[14:12] name was Raymond Stanford Raymond
[14:15] Douglas Stanford in fact I named my son
[14:17] after him Raymond Douglas Proctor and
[14:20] Ray looked at me and he said Bob let
[14:23] these lists here represent results that
[14:25] you're getting in your life then he
[14:27] asked me if I thought he was a happy
[14:28] person and I said yeah I thought he was
[14:30] he said have you ever seen me sick and I
[14:32] had to admit I hadn't he said have you
[14:34] ever seen me when I was broke and I
[14:36] gained I had dead men I hadn't well he
[14:38] proceeded to tell me that he thought I
[14:41] was one of the most miserable people he
[14:43] had ever met and you know it was true I
[14:45] was an unhappy human being he said
[14:48] you're always sick now I didn't have a
[14:50] terminal illness but I always had a
[14:51] headache or a cold or a backache or
[14:53] something and he pointed at the area of
[14:56] money
[14:56] he said you're always broke he said
[14:58] you're forever trying to hit somebody up
[15:00] for a couple of dollars for gas now if I
[15:02] was to put this in proper perspective
[15:04] for you I was earning $4,000 a year at
[15:07] the time and I owed sakes so do you see
[15:11] I was really interested in being happy
[15:13] or healthy at the time I figured if I
[15:14] could just get this money problem
[15:16] straightened out everything was going to
[15:17] be great he proceeded to tell me that
[15:19] there were certain laws governing
[15:20] happiness and if you follow them you can
[15:22] just keep getting happier and happier
[15:23] that sounded a little foreign to me but
[15:26] that was his opinion and he pointed out
[15:28] that you and I have an ingenious system
[15:30] built within us to keep our body in
[15:33] excellent working order and then when he
[15:35] talked about the area of money he said
[15:38] you know he said there's exact laws
[15:40] governing wealth and he pointed out he
[15:42] said this stuff cannot
[15:44] talk but it can hear and he said if you
[15:46] call it it'll come well I can assure you
[15:49] I was ready to yell at the top of my
[15:51] lungs I mean if there is an and I wanted
[15:53] it was some money I figured it would
[15:55] take the heat off for a little while ray
[15:57] suggested that I go out and buy this
[15:58] book
[15:59] it's napoleon hill's book Think and Grow
[16:02] Rich and you know he said there's a
[16:05] secret in this book and he said if you
[16:06] can find the secret in the book you can
[16:08] have anything you seriously want now you
[16:10] take a person that's unhappy not very
[16:12] healthy is in debt you'd have a
[16:14] difficult time accepting that I was 26
[16:17] and I just couldn't accept the idea but
[16:19] as Ray said your ways not working why
[16:21] don't you try his and that's what I'd
[16:24] like to suggest you today if you're not
[16:26] getting the results you want your way
[16:28] obviously isn't working why don't you
[16:31] try ours now I often mentioned that John
[16:34] and I have got license to brag about
[16:35] every idea we use because none of them
[16:38] are ours we don't claim that we've
[16:40] originated these ideas in fact we openly
[16:42] admit we haven't we've just gathered
[16:44] them from books here and seminars there
[16:46] and great teachers all over the world
[16:48] and what we've done is put them together
[16:50] in an organized coherent manner so if
[16:54] your way is not giving you the results
[16:56] you want I would suggest that you take a
[16:59] real serious look at these ideas now I
[17:03] looked for the secret and I couldn't
[17:04] find it but I found in one place here he
[17:06] said a peculiar thing about this secret
[17:08] is that those who once acquire it and
[17:11] use it find themselves literally swept
[17:15] on the success with but little effort
[17:17] and they never again submit to failure
[17:21] what a marvelous promise he said if you
[17:25] doubt this study the names of those who
[17:28] have used it wherever they've been
[17:29] mentioned check their records for
[17:31] yourself and you'll be convinced now he
[17:34] lists upwards of a hundred names here
[17:38] he's got Henry Ford William Wrigley
[17:40] James J Hill George Eastman theatre
[17:44] Roosevelt he goes on here john d
[17:47] rockefeller thomas edison luther burbank
[17:50] woodrow wilson how could i relate to any
[17:54] of those people i couldn't relate to
[17:55] them but you see
[17:58] that first part he said check their
[18:02] names or check their records wherever
[18:05] they've been mentioned so I did that and
[18:08] I got out books on Edison and I got
[18:10] bucks on rockefeller and I got rooked
[18:12] books on Woodrow Wilson and all the
[18:14] great people that he had mentioned here
[18:16] and you know what I found I found they
[18:18] were no different than you they were no
[18:20] different than me
[18:21] many of them had very little formal
[18:23] education which made me feel fairly
[18:24] comfortable because I didn't either many
[18:27] of them had very very rough roads to
[18:29] start on but I found out we're
[18:32] essentially all the same Genoa was
[18:34] different the results they were getting
[18:36] and as I studied on here further Yanni's
[18:39] chapter on persistence and any mentions
[18:42] that persistence to the clawed or to the
[18:44] character of the human being is like
[18:46] what carbon is to steel
[18:47] he said the only thing that he could
[18:49] find in Edison or Ford that he never
[18:52] found in everyone else was persistence
[18:54] they'd get a hold of an idea and they'd
[18:57] stick with that idea and I look back in
[19:00] my own life and I never did that I try
[19:02] something a couple of times know if it
[19:04] was rough I quit I'd have people say it
[19:06] all Bob why don't you just give it up I
[19:08] say yeah you're right and I would nod
[19:11] you see the people I was mixing with
[19:12] they were losing to I never stuck at
[19:15] anything so I made up my mind if I ever
[19:17] found this secret I'd work at write
[19:20] until I died now I did find the secret
[19:22] he was in a hundred different places in
[19:23] the book and it was simply sit down
[19:26] decide what you want write it on a card
[19:30] carry the card in your pocket and read
[19:32] it as often as possible every day now
[19:34] keep in mind I was earning four thousand
[19:37] I owed six I was sitting in a fire hall
[19:38] at the time and I wrote on the card that
[19:40] I was going to have my possession by New
[19:41] Year's Day of 1970 twenty-five thousand
[19:44] dollars now I wrote that on the card in
[19:46] 1960 you know the idea of having $25,000
[19:51] it was it was sort of a fantasy I don't
[19:54] think it was $25,000 in the whole fire
[19:56] hall at the time now I wrote that the
[19:58] card in 1960 keep in mind I gave myself
[20:00] a decade to pull this do LA I really
[20:02] didn't believe it was going to happen
[20:03] but I found it a couple of things I
[20:05] found if you write a lie on
[20:07] tired and you read it often enough
[20:09] you're gonna start to believe it and you
[20:12] know William ring
[20:13] William James background the turn of the
[20:15] century he said believe and your belief
[20:18] will actually create the fact well I did
[20:21] what he suggested I read this card every
[20:23] day I've carried it around and I just
[20:24] keep reading it and one day one of the
[20:27] guys in the fire hall got a hold of it
[20:28] and they pulled the card away and they
[20:29] passed all around everybody stared
[20:31] laughs Carter's gonna get rich
[20:32] I had a chap in seminary the other day
[20:34] that he said the same thing had happened
[20:36] to him he was in a seminar and then and
[20:38] he got one of these gold cards and they
[20:40] passed it around working he said
[20:41] everybody laughed at me but he said I'm
[20:42] winning now I didn't read the card in
[20:44] front of anyone any longer but I kept
[20:46] reading it I'd go to the bathroom and
[20:47] I'd sit in the toilet lock the door and
[20:49] I'd read the card or I'd be driving down
[20:51] there yeah I'd be driving down the
[20:53] street and come to a traffic light and
[20:54] I'd haul a card out and I'd meet it now
[20:56] something very funny happened to me one
[21:00] year later I was earning one hundred and
[21:04] seventy five thousand dollars a year now
[21:08] that's an enormous change and it went
[21:10] well beyond the million in a year now
[21:14] that was not supposed to happen see
[21:16] everything I've been taught since I was
[21:17] a little boy indicated that if you don't
[21:20] go to school you can't win if you don't
[21:21] have businesses here experience you
[21:23] can't win I had not gone to school my
[21:25] second month in high school they asked
[21:26] me to leave I'll never forget how happy
[21:28] I was when they made that decision and
[21:30] as I look back they were probably much
[21:32] happier than I was when they made that
[21:34] decision but here I was I I was 16 I had
[21:37] very little knowledge I had absolutely
[21:39] no skills and at the very best my
[21:42] attitude was poor
[21:43] what chance that I have I really didn't
[21:45] have anything but I didn't know that and
[21:46] so I just bummed around and job to job
[21:48] in another Navy and not a fact reason
[21:50] another buyers mostly in those buyers
[21:51] until I was 26 here I was at 26 one ray
[21:55] sat down with me I had very little
[21:57] knowledge absolutely no skills and my
[21:59] attitude had not improved greatly but he
[22:03] introduced me to this idea and I found
[22:06] that it doesn't matter what's happened
[22:07] in the past you may not have a colorful
[22:10] background and maybe you have you may
[22:12] not have a lot of formal education and
[22:13] maybe a have but it really doesn't
[22:16] matter if you've got a goal
[22:18] and you are willing to stick to it and
[22:20] study the laws you're gonna find out
[22:22] that you can win now that was like an
[22:25] emotional impact and I had to find out
[22:27] what happened to me and so I made up my
[22:28] mind that someone had either written in
[22:30] a book why they were they were talking
[22:32] about it and I made up my mind I'd read
[22:34] every book that was ever written if I
[22:36] had to and I'm gonna tell you I have one
[22:37] of the finest libraries on personal
[22:40] development psychology the area of the
[22:41] mind that you're gonna find anywhere and
[22:43] I don't just mean library of books I
[22:45] mean library of tapes and records and I
[22:47] would travel anywhere in the world that
[22:49] I heard of a good seminar to find out
[22:52] more about myself find out more about
[22:54] you find out what makes us tick and you
[22:56] know a strange thing I found as I
[22:58] studied me I understood you better
[23:00] because we are essentially all the same
[23:03] and that's just sort of the way it works
[23:06] this seminar is nothing but the
[23:09] culmination of all that study but it
[23:11] wasn't just study it was a lot of
[23:12] practice a lot of painstaking study and
[23:14] an awful lot of experience and John and
[23:17] I have seen great changes take place in
[23:19] their own life but better still we've
[23:21] taken seen phenomenal changes take place
[23:23] in the lives of the thousands and
[23:25] countless thousands of people that have
[23:27] studied these seminars we've done these
[23:29] seminars as far away as Takapuna New
[23:31] Zealand and we've done them all over the
[23:34] United States every state in the United
[23:36] States and we've done them all across
[23:37] Canada people in England they're
[23:39] studying this right now as a matter of
[23:41] fact this book born rich is being read
[23:43] in Russia right now that's a fair
[23:46] distance away from here and it's a lot
[23:48] different philosophy than most people in
[23:50] that country are used to now we point
[23:52] out here that material wealth is a
[23:54] normal and a natural state for you to
[23:56] live in intellectual comprehension come
[23:59] down to the third paragraph on page two
[24:01] it's vitally important the intellectual
[24:04] comprehension of this program is not
[24:06] difficult you had a relatively short
[24:08] period of time you will be prepared to
[24:11] correctly answer a battery of questions
[24:13] about this part in rich program if you
[24:16] read it memorize it you could answer
[24:17] almost any question in it
[24:18] but that doesn't mean that you're going
[24:20] to win you could very quickly say I know
[24:24] someone mentioned something I'll say I
[24:26] know I know somebody that says that all
[24:30] the time no matter what you say to her
[24:31] Varys says I know all right now knowing
[24:37] and doing our poles apart and I point
[24:41] out in two or three places in the book
[24:43] that reading and memorizing are not
[24:47] going to make you successful if the
[24:49] understanding and then the application
[24:52] of wise thoughts that count
[24:53] you must understand the idea and you
[24:56] must go out and act on the idea
[24:58] regardless of how much your old program
[25:00] wants to hold you back
[25:02] you've got to bust out of that she'll
[25:04] and do the thing that you've got to do
[25:06] john ruskin here gives us an excellent
[25:09] concept on education he said education
[25:11] does not mean teaching people what they
[25:13] do not know it means teaching them
[25:16] showing them leading them to behave as
[25:18] they do not behave now the compensation
[25:24] that you're going to receive for
[25:26] following the ideas that you're going to
[25:27] be studying for the next couple of days
[25:29] is absolutely incredible I could do
[25:32] nothing but keep expressing great ideas
[25:35] when I talk about the good that can come
[25:37] to you you can do anything you want you
[25:40] can have anything you want by following
[25:42] these ideas now I choose to believe that
[25:44] every one of you wants something way
[25:46] down deep inside of you is a dream and
[25:49] every now and then that dream floats to
[25:52] the surface of your conscious mind and
[25:54] when it does you quickly push it out and
[25:57] you say I can't do that now the truth is
[26:00] you can you just don't know how and if
[26:03] you can get that straight in your mind
[26:04] I'm going to tell you you've busted out
[26:07] now verdun Howard one time pointed out
[26:09] in a magnificent book mystic paths to
[26:11] cosmic power you could not escape from a
[26:13] prison if you don't know you're in one
[26:15] you cannot escape from a prison if you
[26:17] don't know you're in one well I think
[26:19] we're all in one to some degree but that
[26:21] dream you've got that comes to your mind
[26:24] I would suggest you look at it real
[26:25] carefully I was given a cassette tape by
[26:28] a gentleman in a seminar that we were
[26:30] conducting a couple of years ago and it
[26:32] was copy of a speech made by a minister
[26:34] out of Minneapolis and there was a
[26:36] couple of lines in that tape that were
[26:38] absolutely incredible he said the same
[26:41] this thing when he's officiating at a
[26:43] funeral he has not the death of the body
[26:46] but the death of all the dreamers that's
[26:49] out hopes you are going to build an ever
[26:50] built
[26:51] maybe that car you were going to get
[26:53] never not that trip you're gonna take
[26:55] and never took their business you are
[26:58] going to start and build but never did
[27:00] well
[27:01] the saddest thing is not the death of
[27:03] the body but it is the death of all the
[27:05] dreams we've got to do what's inside of
[27:08] us let's not go to the grave with the
[27:10] music still in us now as we go through
[27:12] this seminar John's coming on in a
[27:14] minute to lead you through the part
[27:16] about proper use of the seminar but as
[27:18] we go through it understand this if you
[27:21] do not direct all of the information
[27:23] you're going to hear towards a specific
[27:25] end the information will probably be
[27:27] rendered useless so what I would suggest
[27:30] you do as John's coming up here just jot
[27:33] down in shorthand in your book anywhere
[27:36] in a blank space that's something that
[27:38] you want and look at the quote on the
[27:41] bottom of page two Ralph Waldo Emerson
[27:46] said do the thing and you'll get the
[27:48] energy to do the thing do the thing and
[27:51] you'll get the energy to do the thing
[27:53] don't wait start right now whether
[27:55] you're ready or not just say I'm going
[27:58] after it I'm going to get it and your
[28:00] present circumstance has got nothing to
[28:02] do with where you're going later on in
[28:04] the book here you're going to find that
[28:06] there's a quote by a magnificent author
[28:09] he said your circumstances may be
[28:11] uncongenial right now but they will not
[28:14] long remain so if you perceive an ideal
[28:17] and strive to reach it now think of that
[28:20] you may not have much money your social
[28:23] life may be in a bit of a chaotic state
[28:25] maybe your business isn't going the way
[28:27] you'd really want it to go he said your
[28:29] circumstances may be uncongenial but
[28:33] they will not long remain so if you
[28:35] perceive an ideal and strive to reach it
[28:38] now flip over to the next page and I'm
[28:41] going to invite John back on to lead you
[28:43] through how to get the proper use out of
[28:45] this program and I don't suppose there's
[28:47] a better guy that I know to be able to
[28:49] do that because I watched John start and
[28:52] there's a story of him in Boy
[28:53] rich I watched John start from ground
[28:56] zero and just keep making headway
[28:58] John canary learned how to use the ideas
[29:01] in this program so well that he's very
[29:04] competent teacher of the ideas today
[29:06] what I left the seminar with was a
[29:08] desire to want to know more there was
[29:11] something about it that that stimulated
[29:14] a desire within me of all the things I
[29:16] ever wanted to do but no one ever told
[29:18] me that I could do it and I believe when
[29:21] I walked away from there I felt very
[29:22] comfortable at least with the idea that
[29:24] hey there is a there is something about
[29:27] me that if I learn to use it properly
[29:29] that I could actually go out and achieve
[29:30] it even though I didn't know how I
[29:32] believe that that was the starting point
[29:34] so that was the beginning for me and
[29:37] what I got most out of that particular
[29:38] seminar I believe where where we went
[29:42] from there is at that time there was
[29:45] only there was only perhaps a half day
[29:48] to a one-day seminar and it was
[29:50] structured around the Earl Nightingale
[29:52] material of course and it wasn't as I
[29:56] guess you could say as prolific as it is
[29:58] today although it was as energetic as it
[30:00] was today you know probably even more so
[30:02] but today there seems to be a smoother
[30:05] flow a more structured presentation a
[30:07] more organized presentation in a way
[30:10] that in a way that an individual can
[30:12] actually take it and use a step-by-step
[30:15] methodical approach to actually working
[30:18] with their creative process at that time
[30:21] it was more of you know why not take a
[30:23] look at yourself and try to recognize
[30:25] that there's potential within you and
[30:27] that have you set a goal which I did at
[30:30] that time and sitting in the front row
[30:33] of the seminar just about that time I
[30:35] took something called a goal card which
[30:38] it wasn't as beautiful as it is today
[30:40] wasn't as organized or arranged as it is
[30:42] today but that was back in around 1970
[30:46] 71 than that period of time and I
[30:49] remember Bob mentioning if you take a
[30:51] card write something on it that you want
[30:53] to do and if you read it everyday and do
[30:56] the best you can every day you're going
[30:58] to achieve it now I don't know how many
[31:00] people that day you know wrote something
[31:03] on a card but I would say most of them
[31:05] were actually writing something out
[31:07] but I think it had a profound impact on
[31:09] me
[31:10] to the point that I wrote down that I
[31:12] was going to be doing what Proctor was
[31:14] doing and even more importantly that I
[31:17] was going to be doing it with him now
[31:22] I'm sure that I to him on a number of
[31:25] occasions that particular day but I was
[31:27] just like anyone else sitting in the
[31:28] audience he he probably heard that story
[31:31] from a number of people or related goals
[31:34] something of that nature but I knew that
[31:37] I was going to I didn't know how so
[31:40] whatever he was running a program
[31:41] because identified so much with the way
[31:44] that he explained it there were so many
[31:46] people talking about how to in their
[31:47] seminars and I was exposed to that I was
[31:50] in training courses with respect to the
[31:53] product that I was selling at that time
[31:56] but he was getting to a point where it
[32:00] was it was kind of like it was kind of
[32:03] like all of a sudden you could see you
[32:06] could see that you could do it even
[32:07] though you know there was no special
[32:10] methodical method to doing it so when I
[32:13] walked out of there that day with a
[32:14] three by five card with something
[32:17] written on it to the to the effect that
[32:19] I was going to be doing this program
[32:20] like he was doing it and with him I was
[32:24] I was wondering what would happen if I
[32:28] had told a lot of people that well I
[32:31] didn't bother telling anybody but I kept
[32:34] going back to every seminar that was
[32:36] being conducted no matter where it was
[32:37] of what was in Chicago in Toronto what
[32:39] was in London and what was in Kingston
[32:41] or Montreal that's where I would end up
[32:44] and I think that you know the fact that
[32:47] I was available so much and in every
[32:50] seminar that Proctor began to wonder who
[32:52] is this guy and before long he started
[32:56] calling me and we started to develop
[32:58] pretty good relationship pretty good
[33:00] friendship the rest of that is history
[33:03] of course I've worked with every major
[33:05] company people from every walk of life
[33:08] from professional hockey teams
[33:10] professional baseball teams many major
[33:13] corporations and have not regretted one
[33:16] day of it as tough as it's been so let's
[33:19] give John a real warm
[33:21] as he come on lead Athena
[33:31] you know anytime I started something
[33:33] like this I always like to start with
[33:34] the balls and one of the reasons that I
[33:37] use this is because had such a dramatic
[33:38] impact of my own life and I knew that
[33:42] this worked in a physical sense as I
[33:44] just took a look and stared at it but I
[33:47] wasn't quite sure how it worked in every
[33:49] other sense and I know many people that
[33:52] when they get an understanding of how
[33:53] this works that if you put a little bit
[33:55] into light you're only going to get a
[33:57] little bit out of what
[33:58] in other words if you want to spend a
[34:01] lot of time complaining about what's
[34:03] wrong in light that's just about the
[34:06] only thing you're ever going to find in
[34:08] your life I like to put it another way
[34:11] if you want to look at the scientific
[34:13] side of things they'll say that for
[34:15] every action there is an equal reaction
[34:18] in the opposite direction if you want to
[34:21] go over to the other side to see what
[34:22] the theologian has to say or the
[34:24] philosophers they'll tell you exactly
[34:25] the same thing they'll say that as you
[34:28] sow so shall you reap and then there's a
[34:33] way that I kind of like to use it and it
[34:35] works this way that the only thing that
[34:38] can flow into your life or mine
[34:40] whether it be in a financial sense
[34:43] whether it be in your personal life
[34:46] whether it be in your family light one
[34:49] thing is for certain that the only thing
[34:51] that can flow into your life is based on
[34:53] what's flowing out of your life I know
[34:57] that any time that I have there sitting
[34:59] at home and some of the some of my son's
[35:02] buddies will come by he'll always take
[35:04] them over they'll say what's this and
[35:05] he'll take it and he'll say well you see
[35:07] what this means if you put a little bit
[35:09] in you get a little bit out what if you
[35:11] put a whole lot in you get a whole lot
[35:13] oh that's just the way it works now you
[35:16] see we can make what is called a
[35:18] conscious choice here today on what
[35:20] we're going to take out of this program
[35:22] if you want it to spend a little bit of
[35:25] time trying to find out why this program
[35:28] won't work I guarantee you you're going
[35:31] to find it but there's only one reason
[35:34] you can ever find something wrong with
[35:36] anything and that's because there must
[35:39] be something right with it you see you
[35:42] can't have one without the other
[35:44] I mean how would you know good paycheck
[35:46] we didn't know bad paycheck I mean you
[35:48] can't have a hot without a cold you
[35:49] can't have enough without a down and in
[35:50] without an out I mean all the bucks were
[35:53] use here be luck the book bob was using
[35:54] Think and Grow Rich it has an inside and
[35:56] outside has back has front and you know
[35:59] most interesting thing that I found
[36:00] about that is not too long ago I was
[36:03] doing a seminar out in Calgary and I was
[36:05] at a place called the port O'Call in and
[36:07] you know I was standing down in the
[36:09] basement there doing this seminar in a
[36:11] place like this but there was a fewer
[36:13] people and at the back of the room there
[36:16] was this beautiful magnificent glass
[36:17] window and as you look through it you
[36:20] could see the magnificence of the
[36:21] mountains and all along the top of the
[36:24] mountains you could see the beautiful
[36:25] snowcapped tops and the peaks and the
[36:29] Sun was just bouncing right off the top
[36:31] of those mountains and I made an analogy
[36:34] quickly I said isn't it interesting that
[36:37] the only reason we can appreciate the
[36:41] magnificence of that mountain is because
[36:45] it is sitting in what is called a valley
[36:49] now folks everybody here today has the
[36:52] ability to do just one of three things
[36:56] you have the ability to take anything
[36:58] that you're going to hear I mean as you
[37:01] sit there you can take and gather all
[37:03] this information and you can completely
[37:07] reject it you can do that or you can
[37:11] take all the information and you can
[37:13] neglect it and that's what a lot of
[37:15] people do they get it and they neglect
[37:17] or you can take the information and you
[37:21] can accept it now I'm going to make a
[37:23] suggestion to all of them I want you to
[37:26] just sit there and really think about
[37:28] this don't accept what you hear don't
[37:33] reject what you hear and please don't
[37:37] neglect what you hear but you know folks
[37:41] only a fool would not take an idea
[37:46] examine that idea kick that idea around
[37:49] to see if it will change see if it will
[37:53] alter or see if it will improve the end
[37:57] result for
[37:58] happier healthier more productive life
[38:01] now I've always felt that and I guess
[38:04] I've learned this over a number of years
[38:07] that the biggest task that I have almost
[38:10] every day of my life is that I have to
[38:13] take an idea that I have and communicate
[38:16] that idea to another individual in a way
[38:19] that will enrich their life and you
[38:23] could say that that's not the easiest
[38:25] thing in the world to do but you know it
[38:28] is simple and I guess the best story
[38:31] that illustrates this goes something
[38:33] like this there was a professor one time
[38:36] showed up at a university like this one
[38:37] and he walked in the back door and all
[38:39] his colleagues grabbed him he was at a
[38:42] convention and they said doctor are we
[38:45] ever glad you're here he said what's
[38:49] going on said well there's 500 people
[38:51] here and the guest speaker hasn't shown
[38:54] up said and you've been announced as the
[38:57] guest speaker oh hold on a minute he
[39:01] said I not want to go out there and give
[39:02] a talk upon all my colleagues but he
[39:04] said what's the subject said that's the
[39:06] thing you see you're the only one that
[39:08] showed up without your spouse that's why
[39:10] you're given the talk well he said what
[39:13] is said the subjects on sex oh no not me
[39:18] I'm not going up there in front of all
[39:21] those people who know me not just then
[39:23] his name was announced and up he went he
[39:28] got up and he stood behind that lectern
[39:30] there and he just gave a 40 minute
[39:31] performance just knocked your socks up
[39:33] and after it was all over got a standing
[39:37] ovation away he went home felt pretty
[39:39] good he said I should get on the circuit
[39:40] here I know a lot of people like that
[39:44] and he walked in the door and his wife
[39:46] Martha greeted him there with a big hug
[39:48] and a kiss and she said well dear how
[39:49] convention go said well there's a matter
[39:51] of fact it was great I was the guest
[39:53] speaker said dear you don't know
[39:55] anything about speaking I knew that they
[39:58] didn't know that went along great said
[40:01] well dear would you talk about now he's
[40:04] not a dumb guy right he said honey
[40:07] she'll be up all night if I tell her oh
[40:09] he said honey I talked about sailing
[40:12] George you don't know anything about
[40:14] sailing well I knew that they didn't
[40:17] know that and they seemed to like it
[40:20] well often went to bed now the next day
[40:23] Martha's out doing the shopping and so
[40:27] all the girls are at the convention now
[40:31] just to show you how two people are
[40:34] talking about who they think they're
[40:35] talking about the same thing but reality
[40:37] they're not they only think they're but
[40:41] they have two different ideas and they
[40:43] all spot at Martha and they ran over and
[40:44] they said Martha we didn't know Charlie
[40:47] was such an authority on the subject oh
[40:51] oh she said girls he isn't really the
[40:53] old fool he only did it twice and you
[41:00] know what the first time his hat fell
[41:02] off in the second time he fell over this
[41:04] side now there are two people who
[41:11] thought they were talking about the same
[41:13] thing well the idea that we're working
[41:15] with here today is to take an idea we
[41:17] have transfer that idea to you as an
[41:20] individual but there's only one way we
[41:22] can do that is you've got to kind of let
[41:24] go of the resistance you got to get hang
[41:26] a little bit loose because it is
[41:27] somewhat disturbing some of the
[41:29] information disturbs people sometimes it
[41:32] really does it actually does was a
[41:36] Bishop Sheen was given a great talk
[41:39] every Sunday afternoon and one Sunday
[41:42] afternoon he's giving him talk fella put
[41:43] his hand up the yacht and said holed up
[41:44] in a fish if you don't believe all that
[41:45] jazz dude oh he said I believe it all
[41:49] said come on Bishop you don't believe
[41:51] that story that Jonah was in the stomach
[41:54] of the whale I said I believe it bishop
[41:59] come on Bishop not Jonah in the stomach
[42:01] of the whale said come on you're a grown
[42:03] man no he said I believe it said well
[42:06] tell me Bishop how are you going to
[42:08] prove it
[42:09] well he said I'll tell you what when I
[42:12] get to heaven I'll ask them say you have
[42:15] a bishop what do you don't find him
[42:16] there he said then you can ask them
[42:23] so you see if you want to reject it you
[42:26] want to neglect it go ahead I know the
[42:30] information works on page three at the
[42:34] very top the suggested use of this
[42:36] program and you know Bob mentioned
[42:38] earlier that I've actually taken these
[42:39] ideas and I've made him work as a matter
[42:41] of fact I can remember when I first
[42:42] picked up the information from this
[42:45] program I believe it was Earl
[42:47] nightingales lead the field and I was
[42:50] given a suggesting you saw how to use
[42:51] that program which took five minutes Bob
[42:54] was working with Nightingale at that
[42:56] time I was and he sold me a program for
[42:59] two hundred and forty five dollars that
[43:01] was back to 1968 that was a lot of money
[43:03] in 1968 that's a lot of money today for
[43:05] a lot of people and he said now here's
[43:08] what you do you take this tape put it in
[43:10] your cassette player I didn't have one
[43:11] of those and he said what you do is turn
[43:13] exciton because wasn't a popular thing
[43:15] in cars but he said you listen to the
[43:17] first tape all week then go to the
[43:19] second one to listen to that all week
[43:22] that was the suggested use of the
[43:25] program at that time
[43:27] so you see I've watched this program
[43:29] grow up not only grow up but I've been
[43:33] able to take it and maximize it more
[43:35] than any individual I know that has ever
[43:38] gone through this seminar and I can say
[43:41] that and I can say it with conviction I
[43:44] can say it with commitment so let me
[43:47] just walk you through a couple of steps
[43:50] born rich is the beginning of an
[43:52] exciting journey you're about to take
[43:55] and like all journeys which are properly
[43:59] planned and completely enjoyed you must
[44:02] have these four basic points you've got
[44:05] to work these four basic points see it's
[44:07] the old idea that there are two simple
[44:10] words that we could implement to really
[44:14] get the results we want the first one is
[44:15] called order quarter order is the very
[44:19] first law of creation and the second
[44:22] word is movement and when you have order
[44:25] and movement working in your life what
[44:29] begins to happen is there's a pattern of
[44:32] growth that begins to develop
[44:35] see I think that we try to get here
[44:37] without first covering your bridging the
[44:40] gap of these steps along the way so if
[44:44] we have the order and the order is is to
[44:48] make a decision that no matter where I
[44:50] am no matter how well I am doing I can
[44:55] do better and I'm going to set an object
[44:58] up to bring about that order and then we
[45:01] use the movement which is known as the
[45:03] system and I believe that born rich is a
[45:06] system I don't believe it I know it you
[45:08] don't have to believe something till you
[45:09] understand it then you don't have to
[45:11] believe it anymore
[45:11] but belief is the fuel to get you off
[45:13] the ground so the first step a clear
[45:17] understanding of where the journey
[45:18] begins a very clear understanding where
[45:22] the journey begins and I don't know
[45:24] anybody that'll do that more effectively
[45:27] then Robert when he comes back up to
[45:29] start going through the basic concept
[45:31] and creative process number two
[45:32] checkpoints and route to help you stay
[45:35] on course you see I believe we know for
[45:39] the most part a lot of us what we want
[45:41] and as Napoleon Hill said time and time
[45:44] again in this great book he said you
[45:47] must know what you want why you want it
[45:50] when you want it and an idea on how
[45:52] you're going to get it you must know
[45:54] what you want you must know why you want
[45:57] it you must know he said when you want
[46:00] it and he said you must have an idea on
[46:02] how you're going to get so we need
[46:06] checkpoints and wrote to help us stay on
[46:07] course number three a clear
[46:10] understanding of your destination I
[46:13] believe one of the greatest definitions
[46:15] that I've ever heard of success in my
[46:16] life is that success is not a
[46:19] destination ever has been but it is
[46:21] something called a journey it has always
[46:24] been what is called a journey it is not
[46:27] something you get it is something you're
[46:29] becoming
[46:29] it never ends it's infinite in terms of
[46:32] growth and number for a commitment you
[46:37] know I've spent a lot of time studying
[46:38] as everyone else books such as in search
[46:42] of excellence in pursuit of excellence I
[46:44] know when I look at Paul hut C I think a
[46:47] lot about excellence
[46:49] and you know excellence is perhaps one
[46:51] of the most important words in your life
[46:54] well one of the reasons for that is
[46:56] because Paul knew about excellence 20
[46:58] years ago his company they published
[47:01] something called in search of excellence
[47:02] and the pursuit of excellence but what
[47:06] does the word mean I hear people say
[47:08] excellence in this excellence in that
[47:11] what does the word mean to you well I
[47:14] got to tell you what the word really
[47:15] means it means a commitment to
[47:18] completion folks you never ever want to
[47:24] forget that excellence is simply a
[47:26] commitment to completion the steps are
[47:30] not easy but the understanding of the
[47:33] steps are easy if you remember it's a
[47:36] commitment to completion that means
[47:40] completing the things around home it
[47:43] means completing the things that your
[47:44] work it means completing the commitments
[47:47] in your personal life it's a commitment
[47:50] to completion you will agree a person
[47:55] would be very foolish to tell themselves
[47:58] they are presently in Atlanta Georgia
[48:00] and their destination is Dallas if in
[48:06] fact they were actually in Calgary
[48:08] Alberta with Dallas Texas as their as
[48:10] their destination so many people that
[48:14] are trying to set a goal they don't know
[48:15] where they're at
[48:16] consequently they don't know how to get
[48:18] there unbelievable as this may seem this
[48:22] is the classical error millions of
[48:24] people make philosophically with their
[48:26] lives
[48:27] they are not completely honest with
[48:29] themselves when it comes to recognizing
[48:31] where they presently are where they
[48:35] presently are honest answers to every
[48:39] question and series consideration to
[48:41] every exercise and suggestion will
[48:42] clearly indicate three points and this
[48:45] is what this program is about is these
[48:48] three points where your journey begins
[48:51] that's number one number two the mental
[48:54] adjustments that must be made the mental
[48:58] adjustments that must be made let me
[48:59] give you an example
[49:00] any time working with a young person
[49:02] just love working with young people they
[49:07] only have to understand what a mental
[49:08] adjustment is and they'll make it
[49:10] quicker than you and I are you aware
[49:13] that your kids your kids they only have
[49:17] two what is called make up their mind
[49:18] you and I have to change our mind we can
[49:23] teach them how to make a mental
[49:24] adjustment and here is the major mental
[49:26] adjustment that all of us have to make
[49:28] simple one
[49:30] you must regard all adversity you must
[49:34] regard all circumstance all conditions
[49:37] in your life if you could look at it as
[49:39] though it were an investment in which
[49:42] you can attract and learn more about
[49:44] growth in your life it's an investment
[49:46] only while the difference we'd find in
[49:49] everything that we do and number three
[49:53] approximate time it will take to
[49:55] complete the journey the approximate
[49:58] time it will take to complete the
[49:59] journey now before you become emerged in
[50:03] you're born rich program form the
[50:05] attitude that this program has been
[50:07] prepared especially for you this for you
[50:12] this not for me this is not it's just
[50:14] not not for for me only it's not for Bob
[50:16] it's for you especially prepared for you
[50:21] imagine that the offer that the speaker
[50:24] is a clear personal friend I'm who of
[50:26] you whom you have chosen as your mentor
[50:29] I wonder how many of us have a mentor I
[50:31] always say you want a program in since
[50:34] the beginning it really is it says make
[50:38] a commitment to yourself that you will
[50:41] follow every instruction necessary to
[50:43] alter and you're going to hear this word
[50:46] so opt to alter your old conditioning
[50:51] now I want you to think what is old
[50:54] conditioning do you know any time that
[50:57] you get these very pain remembrances
[50:59] these nagging little things that grab us
[51:01] when we're trying to do something or
[51:03] they tell us we can't do it why we can't
[51:05] do it and all these things that are just
[51:08] kind of like grabbing at as these doubts
[51:10] and words
[51:11] that's your conditioning you know I'd
[51:13] give anything if a person would just
[51:14] grab hold of one idea
[51:16] this one simple idea anytime that you
[51:20] get feedback telling you why you can't
[51:22] do something
[51:23] if only folks you could remember it's
[51:26] not a reflection of your potential or
[51:29] you as a person but it is a reflection
[51:32] of your conditioning I give anything for
[51:35] a person just understand that when you
[51:38] get that all feeling that you can't do
[51:40] something you can only remember it's a
[51:42] reflection of your conditioning and not
[51:43] a reflection of your potential now I
[51:46] want you to think about this everybody
[51:49] is familiar with the great Bruce Lee
[51:52] perhaps the greatest martial artists
[51:54] that ever lived
[51:55] and you know he was also a great teacher
[51:58] and very often people would they come to
[52:02] him and they say could you tell us
[52:04] master how we could be a great martial
[52:09] artist like you now he would take him
[52:15] out into a little gym and he would go
[52:17] through some of his moves and what he
[52:21] was doing as he was trying to find out
[52:22] where they are because he said most
[52:26] people had the wrong information about
[52:29] martial arts just like many people have
[52:33] the wrong information about this word
[52:35] success this word success this
[52:39] progressive realisation of a worthy
[52:43] ideal and after he take them through the
[52:47] little exam he would sit down at a table
[52:51] he'd put them on one end he'd sit on the
[52:56] other end and he put in front of them a
[53:00] glass of coke he'd say I want you to
[53:06] look at that and let it represent think
[53:10] about it now he said I want you to let
[53:13] this glass of coke represent your
[53:15] knowledge this is what you know to be
[53:19] the truth and he said I want you to let
[53:24] this this clear water represent what is
[53:29] the truth this is my knowledge this is
[53:35] what I've learned and he said this is
[53:39] what you want for me this is what you
[53:43] want I want you to think about one step
[53:45] here how often have we looked into the
[53:49] lives of other people and we see things
[53:53] that we truly admire we look at maybe
[53:57] their person what I give to be like that
[54:01] individual we look at what they have and
[54:04] we say what I would give to have what
[54:07] they had we look at what they do and we
[54:11] say what I would give to do what they do
[54:14] folks if we only knew what we're looking
[54:19] at are nothing more but our own rejected
[54:22] thoughts they accepted thoughts that we
[54:27] have rejected so this is what Bruce said
[54:31] I can't give you my knowledge because
[54:37] you see there's too much of yours
[54:42] however he said if you are prepared to
[54:48] let go of yours and make room for mine
[54:53] then we can work together but as long as
[54:58] you hold on to this I can't give you
[55:01] this think about it are you prepared to
[55:08] let go of what you've learned and by
[55:13] that I don't mean to just cast the
[55:15] decide but to examine it and to take a
[55:17] new idea that you will hear in two days
[55:19] here a new idea and to examine that idea
[55:24] entertain that idea to see if it will
[55:26] change alter and or improve the end
[55:29] result for a happier healthier more
[55:34] prosperous life if you're prepared to do
[55:36] that this program will really really
[55:39] work for you will really work for you
[55:42] would you go back to the book with me
[55:44] please second lines paragraph rather
[55:49] than merely listening to the messages
[55:54] questions and exercises think think deep
[56:00] penetrating thoughts ask yourself what
[56:04] does this mean to me how can I apply
[56:06] this idea to my life remember not how
[56:11] can I apply it to someone else's life
[56:15] how can I apply this idea to personal
[56:19] growth and development in my life does a
[56:24] simple basic laws of life or create or
[56:26] disintegrate
[56:26] we're either moving forward or we're
[56:28] going backwards and the last paragraph
[56:31] set aside a definite period of time
[56:34] every day weekends and holidays include
[56:36] it for the proper use of you're born
[56:39] rich program in other words make a
[56:41] decision see folks we don't have as many
[56:43] problems as we have decisions to make by
[56:46] that I'm not asking our suggesting that
[56:48] you should discount your problems I
[56:50] would never suggest that but you know I
[56:53] am suggesting that you have the talent
[56:56] the ability to potential to handle in to
[56:58] deal with your problems so that we have
[57:01] as many problems as we have decisions to
[57:03] make it says for the proper use of
[57:07] you're born rich program you must set
[57:09] aside different times to work with it
[57:11] you eat every day to nourish your body
[57:13] look at you're born rich program as a
[57:16] form of healthy nourishment for your
[57:21] marvelous mind and use it daily until
[57:24] its use becomes habitual until its use
[57:29] becomes a now in two minutes I'm
[57:34] going to bring Bob up to go through the
[57:37] basic concept which is the real star of
[57:40] this program is what you're going to see
[57:43] on the board it's what it's all about
[57:45] the first time I was introduced to this
[57:47] concept believe me it hit me I had such
[57:51] impact on me didn't change anything
[57:53] right away but it showed me a way to
[57:56] do it in 1973 I had something written on
[58:01] the goal Kurt had something written on a
[58:04] goal Kurt and on that goal card there
[58:07] was something very interesting I said on
[58:10] March the 1st 1973 what I wanted to do
[58:16] was this very program now at that time I
[58:21] could not lead I could not lead this
[58:25] group this group you could say in silent
[58:29] prayer I could not have led this group
[58:32] in silent prayer could not but I wrote
[58:37] on it that March the first this what I
[58:38] was going to do now in February the 28th
[58:44] rolled around now I tell you this for
[58:46] your benefit not money for your benefit
[58:49] because someone sitting here today is
[58:51] probably thinking exactly what I was
[58:54] thinking but maybe in a different
[58:55] different area I had absolutely no
[59:01] credentials to do this none absolutely
[59:04] none and for three years prior four
[59:08] years prior wherever robert was doing a
[59:12] seminar I'd be there Paul hut C knows
[59:16] that I fly wherever he'd fly I'd go
[59:21] wherever he was and I'd sit in the front
[59:23] row I have it home maybe a couple of
[59:27] thousand workbooks from seminars a
[59:30] couple of thousand notes all through
[59:34] them something can't even read them
[59:35] anymore now on February the 28th after
[59:40] four to five years of a lot of pain and
[59:43] there was four or five years of a lot of
[59:46] traveling and there was a whole lot a
[59:50] whole lot
[59:52] there was a lot of things you know what
[59:55] really happened on February the 28th I
[01:00:00] was no closer to the goal now remember
[01:00:03] it was one day away one day what I was
[01:00:08] no closer to
[01:00:09] go after five years kind of
[01:00:13] disheartening and discouraging isn't it
[01:00:16] so this is what happened I got a phone
[01:00:19] call from Chicago it was Robert On
[01:00:22] February the 28th 1973 and he said John
[01:00:27] I got some bad news for you I can't get
[01:00:31] to Toronto Chicago is closed he said
[01:00:35] you're gonna have to do the seminar in
[01:00:37] the morning now here was it's what I
[01:00:42] always wanted to do and the first thing
[01:00:44] that hit me was fear panic I remember
[01:00:51] giving him a gold card and he said you
[01:00:56] obviously had something to do with the
[01:00:58] Chicago Airport closing
[01:01:04] but to the day it worked even though all
[01:01:08] the appearances said it wouldn't work
[01:01:11] Genoa I made a decision this was my
[01:01:15] knowledge this was his I had to get rid
[01:01:19] of mine to get hits that's what you're
[01:01:23] gonna have to do today and tomorrow so
[01:01:29] what do you say we bring Robert back up
[01:01:31] for the remainder of the morning to
[01:01:33] really get this creative process rolling
[01:01:35] Bob so what say we bring Robert back up
[01:01:44] for the remainder of the morning to
[01:01:46] really get this creative process rolling
[01:01:48] Bob
[01:01:50] [Music]
[01:02:03] thank you done I want to suggest now
[01:02:08] that you really put on your thinking hat
[01:02:10] I have a paper here that was written by
[01:02:14] a gentleman who has since passed away he
[01:02:18] was a great Canadian his name was dr.
[01:02:20] Lawrence Rempel and when I first moved
[01:02:24] back to Canada from the United States
[01:02:26] about 8 years ago dr. M Powell was
[01:02:29] sitting right here where mr. Kovic the
[01:02:31] great photographer is sitting and this
[01:02:35] man took more notes than anyone I had
[01:02:38] ever seen in a seminar I honestly
[01:02:40] thought if I could have got a copy of
[01:02:41] his notes that I would have probably had
[01:02:44] a transcript of what I was saying now I
[01:02:47] made up my mind I'd get to know him
[01:02:49] after the seminar was over I wanted to
[01:02:51] know why he wanted to have all this
[01:02:53] written and he introduced himself as dr.
[01:02:56] Rempel asked me if he was a medical
[01:02:59] doctor he said no no I said are you a
[01:03:01] dentist he said no and I said are you a
[01:03:03] character he said no I said you want to
[01:03:05] play 20 questions and he laughed you
[01:03:07] know and he said no he had a doctorates
[01:03:10] degree in thinking now do you know he
[01:03:14] had the only doctorates degree in
[01:03:16] thinking that it ever up till that time
[01:03:19] come out of the University of Toronto
[01:03:21] it took him 11 years to get it every
[01:03:26] time he went to go down the road
[01:03:27] somebody put a block up in front of him
[01:03:29] and say no one has a doctorates degree
[01:03:31] in thinking now that's rather odd
[01:03:34] especially when you consider that
[01:03:36] thinking is the highest function of
[01:03:39] which accumulate leaders all down
[01:03:43] through history have been in complete
[01:03:45] and unanimous agreement that you and I
[01:03:48] become what we think about now play with
[01:03:51] that for a moment it's a subject that is
[01:03:54] not taught in school gets the highest
[01:03:57] function of which were capable and every
[01:03:59] great leader that has ever lived
[01:04:01] all told us that you and I become what
[01:04:04] we think about most of the time dr. Ann
[01:04:07] Powell wrote a paper tools for teaching
[01:04:09] thinking he said thinking is a skill
[01:04:12] which can be learned just as we learned
[01:04:15] skills such as typing and playing the
[01:04:16] piano now I said few public schools
[01:04:19] offer courses devoted expressly to
[01:04:21] teaching thinking rather we are expected
[01:04:23] to learn and teach thinking as a
[01:04:25] byproduct of learning mathematics
[01:04:27] reading science history at trade and so
[01:04:30] forth and he said we do in fact learn a
[01:04:32] lot about thinking in this way the
[01:04:35] trouble is we learn our thinking skills
[01:04:37] in bits and pieces and we never put it
[01:04:41] together as an overall picture if asked
[01:04:44] to describe what all is required in
[01:04:47] order to think effectively most people
[01:04:50] would be at a loss to give a complete
[01:04:52] account thus we are unable to assess our
[01:04:55] own thinking skills or systematically
[01:04:59] teach the skill of thinking to others
[01:05:02] now consider this for a moment when you
[01:05:06] think you think in pictures check it out
[01:05:10] I want to suggest that you think of the
[01:05:13] home you live in and as you do realize
[01:05:17] that an image of your home comes on to
[01:05:20] the screen of your mind it's almost as
[01:05:22] if there's a screen running right
[01:05:24] through the center of our head and the
[01:05:26] second we think of our home the picture
[01:05:29] of the home comes onto the screen of our
[01:05:31] mind now I want to suggest that you
[01:05:34] think of your automobile and the second
[01:05:36] you think of your automobile the picture
[01:05:39] of the home is gone and the picture of
[01:05:41] the automobile is there think of your
[01:05:43] kitchen your backyard think of where you
[01:05:46] work or go to school and bang bang bang
[01:05:49] just like that the picture changes we
[01:05:51] literally think in pictures now I'm
[01:05:54] going to suggest that you think of your
[01:05:57] mind now when most people think of their
[01:06:01] mind they get an image of the brain how
[01:06:04] many thought of the brain quite a few
[01:06:07] hands going up and yet you know the
[01:06:10] brain is not the mind any more than the
[01:06:11] fingernail is and paradoxically the
[01:06:15] fingernail and the brain is the mind you
[01:06:19] see mind is an activity and body is the
[01:06:22] manifestation of that activity and we're
[01:06:24] going to find out as we go along through
[01:06:26] the morning and this afternoon that
[01:06:29] body is really nothing but an instrument
[01:06:31] of the mind now your brain is comprised
[01:06:35] of hundreds of thousands of cells into
[01:06:38] these cells we impregnate pictures or
[01:06:41] images and as we think we activate that
[01:06:44] particular group of brain cells and the
[01:06:47] picture that's in them flashes on the
[01:06:49] screen of the mind now I'm going to come
[01:06:51] back to that in just a moment
[01:06:52] flip over onto page five in your
[01:06:55] exercise book at the top of the page
[01:06:59] that's talking about me and money now
[01:07:02] when you think of yourself and you think
[01:07:05] of money what kind of a picture do you
[01:07:07] get you know the vast majority of people
[01:07:10] get a picture of poverty and what we
[01:07:14] want to do is take and build cells of
[01:07:18] recognition in your brain for prosperity
[01:07:20] so we're talking about me and money
[01:07:23] that's you and your money now we say the
[01:07:27] program was written in the sincere hope
[01:07:29] that it would lead you and that's all we
[01:07:32] could do is lead you it's like dr. Billy
[01:07:34] be sharp in Chicago he said a person
[01:07:37] will not believe something until they
[01:07:39] discover it for themselves so we just
[01:07:41] actually want to lead you to this new
[01:07:43] awareness well we want to lead you to
[01:07:46] the many discoveries that lie within you
[01:07:48] and we're going to do that through the
[01:07:50] repetition of prosperous ideas what
[01:07:53] we're going to do is tell you one thing
[01:07:54] ten thousand times and ten thousand
[01:07:57] different ways and we're going to cause
[01:07:59] pictures to fly on the screen of your
[01:08:00] mind
[01:08:01] until you get a clear picture of
[01:08:04] greatness and prosperity locked up
[01:08:06] within you because that's what they're
[01:08:08] regardless of whether you understand
[01:08:09] that or not at this point now we're
[01:08:14] suggesting that you start to see money
[01:08:16] whenever you think of money see this
[01:08:19] stuff as an obedient diligent servant
[01:08:23] you're the master gets the servant and
[01:08:26] don't ever get that equation reversed or
[01:08:29] you're going to find yourself in very
[01:08:30] very deep trouble you can use this to
[01:08:33] bra provide service far beyond your own
[01:08:36] physical presence if you and I had no
[01:08:39] money we still be able to provide
[01:08:41] service but the service
[01:08:42] we provided would be confined to our
[01:08:44] physical presence at any given place or
[01:08:46] any given time however if we had some
[01:08:49] money we could provide that service far
[01:08:52] beyond our own physical presence so
[01:08:55] let's make certain that we get that
[01:08:56] programmed into those cells properly now
[01:08:59] you come down a little further we're
[01:09:01] gonna say here that lack and limitation
[01:09:03] can only exist when we make room for
[01:09:07] them in our mind but prosperity
[01:09:09] consciousness knows no lack and it knows
[01:09:11] no limitation now I want to suggest that
[01:09:14] you resolve to just completely take the
[01:09:16] lid off your marvelous mind just blow it
[01:09:19] away and let the greatness start to flow
[01:09:22] around in there now flip over to the
[01:09:24] next page when we start thinking about
[01:09:30] money and we start thinking about
[01:09:33] ourselves as I suggested we get images
[01:09:35] on the screen of our mind now on page
[01:09:37] six we say throughout your entire born
[01:09:40] rich seminar your attention is directed
[01:09:42] at the importance of your mind the type
[01:09:45] of thoughts and ideas which occupy your
[01:09:48] consciousness are of paramount
[01:09:50] importance in developing prosperity in
[01:09:52] your length your mind is either in an
[01:09:55] orderly or a confused state order must
[01:09:58] prevail John mention that little or
[01:10:00] little earlier order and movement are
[01:10:03] what necessary well we start with the
[01:10:05] order so we say order must prevail in
[01:10:07] your mind have you ever hope to see it
[01:10:09] manifest in your material world now you
[01:10:11] want order in your material world that
[01:10:13] means meaningful relationships that
[01:10:16] means prosperity and growth in our
[01:10:18] business it could mean all kinds of
[01:10:21] things that are good but they all have
[01:10:24] to start in here everything starts in
[01:10:26] our mind well if we're going to have
[01:10:28] order in our mind we must have an image
[01:10:31] of our mind and most people don't have
[01:10:33] so what we're going to do as we go
[01:10:36] through the seminar is build brain cells
[01:10:38] now that may sound a little strange to
[01:10:40] some of you you may be sitting there and
[01:10:42] thinking well this is ridiculous how can
[01:10:43] I build brain cells sitting watching
[01:10:45] this box well I can assure you that you
[01:10:48] can and I'm going to convince you very
[01:10:50] shortly that you're able to now what I'm
[01:10:53] going to do I'm going to use different
[01:10:55] examples as we go through this seminar
[01:10:57] and each one of these examples are real
[01:11:01] live examples every one of them this is
[01:11:05] a letter that I received on February the
[01:11:08] 18th 1986 it came from Joann white she
[01:11:13] was the Regional Administrator to the
[01:11:16] vice-president of sales for the
[01:11:18] Metropolitan surance company in Kansas
[01:11:20] City
[01:11:21] now Joann was in a seminar there in
[01:11:24] January of 1986 this letter is dated
[01:11:28] February of 86 and when Joann came to
[01:11:33] the seminar in 1986 she told me a
[01:11:36] fascinating story now apparently she had
[01:11:40] come to a seminar that I conducted in
[01:11:42] Kansas City ten years prior to this in
[01:11:45] 1976
[01:11:46] now I didn't remember Joann nor did I
[01:11:48] remember her son who she was telling me
[01:11:50] the story of but when she told me what
[01:11:54] happened
[01:11:54] I quickly related to it because it's
[01:11:56] happened many times and there's many
[01:11:57] situations that I do remember apparently
[01:12:00] we had been doing seminars right across
[01:12:02] the country for the Metropolitan Life
[01:12:03] Insurance Company and a friend of hers
[01:12:06] in another area had been talking to her
[01:12:08] on the phone who also worked for the
[01:12:10] same company and this friend told her if
[01:12:13] this seminar ever comes to Kansas City
[01:12:16] make sure you go and take your son well
[01:12:20] she took that person's advice and she
[01:12:22] came she brought her eleven-year-old son
[01:12:24] Eric who had been diagnosed as having
[01:12:27] learning disabilities now keep your mind
[01:12:30] open here folks because this is real
[01:12:32] could happen and it can happen to anyone
[01:12:35] someone had made a classical error and
[01:12:38] someone possibly in a position of
[01:12:40] authority in fact probably in a position
[01:12:42] of authority and they told these lady
[01:12:45] and her husband that their 11 year old
[01:12:47] son had learning disabilities and not to
[01:12:49] expect too much from him so they didn't
[01:12:52] were still the little boy didn't expect
[01:12:55] much from himself I told her to bring a
[01:12:59] little boy to the seminar and we just
[01:13:01] build new brain cells that that child
[01:13:04] could do anything he wanted that this
[01:13:05] idea of learning disabilities was an
[01:13:07] error that someone
[01:13:08] made and they shouldn't believe it any
[01:13:10] longer and I said you bring him have him
[01:13:12] sit right near the front and I said
[01:13:14] we'll give him a little special
[01:13:15] attention and you'll just watch the
[01:13:18] change take place let me read to the
[01:13:20] letter
[01:13:21] she's dear Bob I want to take a moment
[01:13:23] to tell you how much I had gained from
[01:13:25] your seminar in Kansas City and how much
[01:13:28] I am continuing to gain from the use of
[01:13:30] your tapes now at that time all we had
[01:13:33] is audio tapes now you can sit and you
[01:13:35] can watch this over and over and over
[01:13:37] again because there's going to be parts
[01:13:38] of it that'll seem a little confusing to
[01:13:40] you first time through but as you play
[01:13:43] it over and over and over again that
[01:13:45] confusional leave and order is going to
[01:13:48] come to your mind there's many times
[01:13:50] I'll take a book and I'll read the same
[01:13:53] paragraph over and over again this book
[01:13:56] that I mentioned earlier of Napoleon
[01:13:58] Hills I've been reading that for 27
[01:14:01] years no it's not such that I'm such a
[01:14:03] slow learner yes just there's so much
[01:14:06] depth in the book my wife sitting back
[01:14:11] there and she said no it's not the depth
[01:14:13] that's that your slow learning right and
[01:14:16] anyway that's just her opinion all right
[01:14:19] now she said I listened to the tapes
[01:14:22] each time I get in my car and I intend
[01:14:24] to continue to do so and of course
[01:14:26] you've got the audio cassettes from the
[01:14:28] seminar as well Jean just snapped them
[01:14:30] in your car remember this if you only
[01:14:32] drive 25,000 miles a year you're
[01:14:35] spending 13 40-hour weeks behind the
[01:14:38] wheel of that automobile all of which
[01:14:40] your conscious mind is free to travel
[01:14:42] around and do any that wants to do your
[01:14:45] body is programmed to drive the car well
[01:14:48] she's Bob I'm sure at times you ponder
[01:14:50] over the long-range effects of these
[01:14:51] seminars do you merely get people
[01:14:53] excited and then once you leave town
[01:14:55] forget it well she's I attended your
[01:14:57] seminar when you were in Kansas City 10
[01:14:59] years ago I brought my 11 year old son
[01:15:02] who was going through some trying times
[01:15:04] in school he had been diagnosed as
[01:15:06] having learning disabilities and he was
[01:15:09] really struggling listen to this he was
[01:15:13] certain he was a reject what a terrible
[01:15:17] thought to be running through the little
[01:15:18] kid's mind I'm a reject many adults
[01:15:20] running around with that
[01:15:21] but they're mine you could have been
[01:15:23] sitting with that thought in your mind
[01:15:24] you might be sitting with that thought
[01:15:26] in your mind I'm a reject there's no
[01:15:28] such thing as rejects God didn't make
[01:15:31] any rejects wishes I brought Eric to the
[01:15:34] seminars he learned that you can do
[01:15:36] anything or be anything that you believe
[01:15:38] you can
[01:15:39] he learned to set goals and to achieve
[01:15:43] the goals that he set listen to this for
[01:15:46] progress I am very proud to tell you
[01:15:48] there was both an immediate and a
[01:15:50] long-range change in Eric's performance
[01:15:52] in that same school year he has great
[01:15:55] spiraled upwards and he became an honor
[01:15:58] student Eric attended Bay State he has
[01:16:01] an Eagle Scout he was listed in Who's
[01:16:04] Who in American high schools he was
[01:16:07] editor of his school paper he qualified
[01:16:10] for scholarships that's plural he had
[01:16:12] his choice for college and at the
[01:16:15] present time he's a junior at the
[01:16:17] University of Missouri and he's on the
[01:16:19] Dean's List I feel a great deal of this
[01:16:22] can be credited the fact that this 11
[01:16:24] year old boy learned he could do
[01:16:26] anything he believed he could and he
[01:16:29] became a goal setter Joann concluded by
[01:16:34] saying Bob I just wanted to share this
[01:16:36] letter with you as I really do not know
[01:16:38] if we would be able to tell this success
[01:16:40] story if I had not brought Eric to this
[01:16:42] seminar I'll always be grateful I guess
[01:16:45] you will and I guess Eric will too and
[01:16:48] what was the big win was it The Who's
[01:16:50] Who in American high schools was a being
[01:16:52] editor of his school paper wasn't the
[01:16:54] honors that he accomplished that first
[01:16:56] year was it the college scholarships in
[01:16:59] college I don't think so
[01:17:00] I don't think any of those things were
[01:17:02] the big win you know what the big win
[01:17:04] was it was the one single idea that
[01:17:07] enabled him to do all these things and
[01:17:09] one idea can cause you to make the
[01:17:11] progress this young boy made we have a
[01:17:14] gentleman in our audience I'm not quite
[01:17:16] sure where he is he's a good friend of
[01:17:17] mine grant Sylvester he's the president
[01:17:19] of money concepts for Canada and Brent
[01:17:23] Sylvester hired us to conduct these
[01:17:27] seminars way back in the 70s for a large
[01:17:30] company that he was a senior executive
[01:17:31] in
[01:17:32] and right across the country they had a
[01:17:35] 53% increase in sales
[01:17:37] now that's hundreds of people that's an
[01:17:39] enormous increase I want you to think
[01:17:41] about that for a moment here's an idea
[01:17:43] they give this little boy honors and
[01:17:47] schools gave grants company of 50%
[01:17:50] increase in sales so you see I don't
[01:17:52] really care what you do it doesn't
[01:17:54] matter what you're doing it's you that
[01:17:56] counts and the more you understand you
[01:17:58] the better your results you're going to
[01:17:59] get now I'm gonna run through a very
[01:18:04] quick idea and it's very simple don't
[01:18:07] let the simplicity of this idea deceive
[01:18:10] you what we're going to do is run
[01:18:13] through a concept and explain just how
[01:18:16] brain cells are built now I'm gonna ask
[01:18:18] someone from the audience
[01:18:20] me know your good friend come on find
[01:18:22] your mother all right Nina
[01:18:28] wonderful give me your hand if you're
[01:18:35] sitting in your office or sitting at
[01:18:37] home I want you to meet one of the best
[01:18:38] managers I know thank you and I mean
[01:18:41] that sincerely and I'm not just saying
[01:18:43] that to flatter Nino I'm saying that
[01:18:45] because of the results that I see as
[01:18:47] people get Nino was kind enough to hire
[01:18:51] my son and daughter-in-law to go to work
[01:18:53] for them at the beginning of this year
[01:18:55] and every month this year they have
[01:18:57] earned somewhere between twenty and
[01:18:59] forty five thousand dollars a month now
[01:19:02] you don't do that if you haven't got a
[01:19:04] real good manager drawing the best out
[01:19:06] of you
[01:19:06] management is the development of people
[01:19:08] it's not the direction of things so Nino
[01:19:10] is very good friend of mine now you know
[01:19:12] I want to ask you a couple of questions
[01:19:14] I'm going to do something what I'd like
[01:19:16] you to do is hold out your hand like
[01:19:18] this right now I'm going to ask you to
[01:19:20] close your eyes now I would like you to
[01:19:23] look at that I want you to see what that
[01:19:26] is I know anybody say anything I'm going
[01:19:29] to put it in Nina's hand you just close
[01:19:31] your eyes Nina I'm going to put this in
[01:19:33] your hand and I want you to feel it
[01:19:34] close your hand and feel it now Nino
[01:19:37] tell me what that is it feels like a
[01:19:42] piece of metal well move your fingers
[01:19:44] around it and tell me what kind of a
[01:19:45] metal
[01:19:46] would you use that for I would imagine
[01:19:48] to open the door to open the door what
[01:19:51] do you call a piece of metal it opens
[01:19:53] the door Nicky this guy's a real ham and
[01:19:57] I'm down yeah yeah I'll take it away you
[01:20:00] guessed it right you know you win one of
[01:20:02] our cassette tapes that is a key all
[01:20:05] right now what happened there let's stop
[01:20:08] and think what happened Nino has sensory
[01:20:10] factors he can hear see smell taste and
[01:20:14] touch and when your sensory factor touch
[01:20:17] comes in contact with something a light
[01:20:20] message is sent through a nerve
[01:20:22] passageway in your body yet strikes a
[01:20:24] group of cells in your brain those brain
[01:20:27] cells are activated and the picture
[01:20:30] that's in the cells flash on the screen
[01:20:32] in the mind
[01:20:32] so although Nina was not looking at this
[01:20:35] which is a sensory factor and will work
[01:20:37] that way too he was touching the key and
[01:20:39] that triggered the image on the screen
[01:20:42] of his mind now what I'm going to do I
[01:20:44] am going to show something to Nino and
[01:20:47] I'm going to ask him what it is you know
[01:20:50] I would like you to tell me what that is
[01:20:52] he pinned it oh what a pen you think it
[01:20:57] is yes you don't know what it is do you
[01:20:59] you're guessing now aren't you now you
[01:21:01] weren't guessing when you told me what
[01:21:02] that is but when you when I asked you
[01:21:04] what this little metal object was you're
[01:21:07] guessing is that correct
[01:21:08] now you know what you're really saying
[01:21:11] is I had sales of recognition when I
[01:21:14] touch this but when I look at this I
[01:21:17] have no cells of recognition now we're
[01:21:20] going to build cells of recognition in
[01:21:23] your brain I'm going to tell you what
[01:21:25] this is and I'm going to do something
[01:21:27] with it
[01:21:28] and as I do that instantly and a
[01:21:30] millisecond cells will be built in your
[01:21:33] brain that Nino has a little plunger on
[01:21:35] it now as I hit that plunger something's
[01:21:38] going to come out of here you see that
[01:21:41] that is a toothpick Nino
[01:21:45] that's what your aunt mark is you and
[01:21:47] you don't need anything all right
[01:21:48] now all right now that is a toothpick
[01:21:52] now that's no big deal and you could
[01:21:55] miss the whole message here but to see
[01:21:58] Nino didn't know what that is you know
[01:22:00] he was saying I don't have any cells of
[01:22:02] recognition in my brain now when you go
[01:22:05] home you know you can tell rose that you
[01:22:06] built some brain cells this morning she
[01:22:08] can love more of you all right you take
[01:22:10] more of her home but that's exactly what
[01:22:12] that is all right and we just built some
[01:22:15] brain cells Thank You Nina
[01:22:24] Nino's Missouri is without question one
[01:22:28] of the greatest real estate sales
[01:22:30] managers I've ever met and you know I
[01:22:32] told Brian something and I'm going to
[01:22:33] tell you something whenever you go to do
[01:22:36] something make certain that the people
[01:22:38] you surround yourself with are very
[01:22:41] successful Karl Menninger one-point time
[01:22:43] pointed out that environment is more
[01:22:46] important than aridity in other words
[01:22:47] the people you find yourself surrounded
[01:22:49] by are more important to your success
[01:22:52] your well being than what's built right
[01:22:55] into your genes at birth and I suggested
[01:22:58] by going see Nina
[01:22:59] I told Lesley go see Nina go to work for
[01:23:02] the man and listen to him and do what he
[01:23:04] tells you and you'll draw the best out
[01:23:07] of you and that's exactly what he's
[01:23:08] doing now we're going to build some
[01:23:13] brain cells with respect to the mind all
[01:23:17] right and as we build these brain cells
[01:23:20] with respect to the mind we're going to
[01:23:22] build a picture of our mind right in
[01:23:24] here and then as we get that picture in
[01:23:27] here we can start making headway at
[01:23:31] making some of the adjustments that Jon
[01:23:33] talked about and the proper use of the
[01:23:35] program the points we've just covered
[01:23:38] were simple but vitally important and
[01:23:41] one of the most important points of all
[01:23:43] was the fact that you and I must have an
[01:23:46] image of our mind without an image we
[01:23:49] have confusion so that's very very
[01:23:52] important now I would like to introduce
[01:23:54] you to someone who I wrote about in born
[01:23:57] wrench
[01:23:58] Hinds and Donna DAWs they came to the
[01:24:02] seminar and their circumstance was doom
[01:24:05] and gloom we had bought this house in
[01:24:07] July of 1975 after being expropriated
[01:24:10] for the Pickering Airport Fiasco north
[01:24:13] of the city and almost every evening I
[01:24:18] would come home and I would be extremely
[01:24:21] negative started to take out my
[01:24:24] frustrations on Donna because the
[01:24:27] mortgage payments and everything else
[01:24:29] was more than what we expected and after
[01:24:31] you buy a home you have to buy curtains
[01:24:33] and things like that from 7:30 I believe
[01:24:37] until 10:30 at night I would probably
[01:24:40] say during those three hours my life
[01:24:42] changed totally because from an almost
[01:24:47] decision to having to sell this house to
[01:24:51] three hours later to having a target of
[01:24:55] having a Cadillac paid for in three
[01:24:57] weeks that is a tremendous change an
[01:25:00] important point here is that Hinds das
[01:25:03] had been an insurance agent for fifteen
[01:25:05] years he had great information he had
[01:25:09] heard many motivational speakers but he
[01:25:11] was still at the financial point where
[01:25:13] he was going to have to sell his house
[01:25:14] Hines problem was confusion he did not
[01:25:18] have an image of his mind and that's
[01:25:21] what made the difference unfortunately a
[01:25:24] lot of those if you want to call the
[01:25:28] motivational speakers are geared on a
[01:25:30] very narrow specific point and yes it
[01:25:37] may give you an immediate chart of
[01:25:39] adrenaline but very quickly wears down
[01:25:42] because you are not given the
[01:25:44] understanding of how it works if I know
[01:25:47] how something works as opposed to simply
[01:25:50] being told blindly as to how to do it I
[01:25:52] have a different understanding so that
[01:25:55] was the difference yes the the very easy
[01:25:58] understandable way that Bob explains how
[01:26:01] the mind works how you control the mind
[01:26:05] with your thoughts and how the results
[01:26:07] are obtained I got my Cadillac in twenty
[01:26:10] two days after I made
[01:26:12] promised to myself now I'd like you come
[01:26:14] with me and just the same as we were
[01:26:17] able to help Heinz and Donna and
[01:26:19] millions of others I want to help you
[01:26:21] watch closely and we will create an
[01:26:25] image of your mind that you can work
[01:26:28] with for the rest of this program for
[01:26:30] the rest of your life we were talking
[01:26:32] about building brain cells and
[01:26:35] developing an image and placing it in
[01:26:38] these cells for our mind so what we will
[01:26:41] have then our cells of recognition when
[01:26:44] we think of our mind rather than drawing
[01:26:46] a blank or drawing on a picture of the
[01:26:49] brain we actually have a workable image
[01:26:52] that we can start to use now before we
[01:26:55] do that let me mention something here
[01:26:58] about a gentleman I heard speak way back
[01:27:02] in the early 70s I was fortunate enough
[01:27:05] to be on a program in Chicago at a human
[01:27:08] resource congress with a gentleman named
[01:27:10] Frank Gobbo Frank Bobo had been an
[01:27:13] aerospace engineer he was a president of
[01:27:15] an aerospace company and one day he was
[01:27:18] working on his budget and he realized
[01:27:21] that 65 cents out of every dollar
[01:27:25] revenue coming into that company was
[01:27:27] going back out of the company again to
[01:27:30] employees for either salaries or
[01:27:32] benefits and he suddenly realized he
[01:27:34] knew virtually nothing about people here
[01:27:37] he was spending sixty-five percent of
[01:27:40] all the revenue on something he knew
[01:27:42] virtually nothing about he said I knew a
[01:27:44] lawful lot about engineering and I knew
[01:27:47] a fair amount about aerospace but I knew
[01:27:49] very little about people and so he said
[01:27:52] that he decided he would study some
[01:27:53] psychology and fortunately for him he
[01:27:56] ended up collaborating with Abraham
[01:27:58] Maslow now Maslow made a break with
[01:28:01] break through the like of which is maybe
[01:28:04] only made every few thousand years he
[01:28:07] had come to the conclusion that you and
[01:28:09] I have infinite potential he's written a
[01:28:13] paper he went on he left aerospace
[01:28:15] engineering and he went on to start the
[01:28:17] Thomas Jefferson Research Center out in
[01:28:19] Pasadena in a paper called the
[01:28:22] productive person
[01:28:23] Goble wrote by Nature
[01:28:25] you and I are alike by practice we get
[01:28:29] wide apart there's the difference in our
[01:28:32] results again now he said the difference
[01:28:34] between the most dissimilar characters
[01:28:36] between the real achievers and the non
[01:28:39] achievers for example seems to arise not
[01:28:42] so much from nature as from habit custom
[01:28:45] and education you went on to quote
[01:28:49] William James who concluded that we use
[01:28:51] a very small part of our real potential
[01:28:53] and James said that most people live
[01:28:56] whether physically intellectually or
[01:28:58] morally in a very restricted circle of
[01:29:01] our potential being we make use of a
[01:29:03] very small parsh portion of our possible
[01:29:06] consciousness and of our souls resources
[01:29:09] in general much like the person who out
[01:29:12] of their entire bodily organism would
[01:29:15] get into the habit of using and moving
[01:29:18] only their little finger I want you to
[01:29:21] think for a moment if you had a child
[01:29:24] and that child was laying perfectly
[01:29:26] still in its crib at the early part of
[01:29:30] its body that was ever able to move was
[01:29:32] its little finger I'm quite certain that
[01:29:35] you would probably beg you would borrow
[01:29:37] and if you head to you would steal to
[01:29:40] find out what's wrong with that child
[01:29:41] but isn't it strange that a human being
[01:29:44] can stop growing mentally at a very
[01:29:47] early age and it can be virtually
[01:29:49] ignored this is without question one of
[01:29:53] the most important subjects we can go to
[01:29:55] I want to refer back to something
[01:29:57] Napoleon Hill wrote again that cut my
[01:29:59] attention when I first read the book he
[01:30:03] pointed out in here somewhere in your
[01:30:06] makeup there lies sleeping the seed of
[01:30:10] achievement which if aroused and put
[01:30:13] into action will carry you to Heights
[01:30:15] such as you may have never hoped to
[01:30:17] attain do you know as I think of this
[01:30:21] and as I read it now I'm doing things
[01:30:24] today that 27 years ago if anyone had to
[01:30:27] suggested I would have thought they were
[01:30:28] hallucinating I am take a look at my
[01:30:32] paycheck today it's so completely
[01:30:35] different than it was my first started
[01:30:37] to study this
[01:30:39] in fact the same people that used to pay
[01:30:40] me four thousand dollars a year are now
[01:30:43] paying me four thousand dollars an hour
[01:30:45] and the only thing that's really changed
[01:30:47] is what's going on inside everything was
[01:30:50] already there it's just a matter of
[01:30:52] learning how to use it now he said just
[01:30:55] as a master musician may cause the most
[01:30:57] beautiful strains of music to pour forth
[01:31:00] from the strings of a violin so may you
[01:31:03] arouse the genius which lies asleep in
[01:31:06] your brain and cause it to drive you
[01:31:08] upwards towards any goal you may wish to
[01:31:11] achieve now I'm going to put a couple of
[01:31:14] marks on the board and I want you to
[01:31:17] really think seriously about this you
[01:31:20] know human organizations as we know them
[01:31:22] today
[01:31:22] are not going to last much longer and
[01:31:24] that is because they have been we have
[01:31:26] built them on a false premise these
[01:31:29] organizations have been built on the
[01:31:31] premise that you and I are physical
[01:31:35] beings and were really not we are
[01:31:38] spiritual beings living in physical
[01:31:42] bodies and we've been gifted with
[01:31:45] something called an intellect and by
[01:31:48] learning to use the intellectual factors
[01:31:52] in our personality we can tap into the
[01:31:54] higher side of our own nature and
[01:31:56] improve anything in our physical world
[01:31:59] don't you know to the average person
[01:32:01] that doesn't really make a whole lot of
[01:32:03] sense and it may not make a whole lot of
[01:32:05] sense to you as I just said it but
[01:32:07] you're gonna find as we go along with
[01:32:08] this and as we keep working with this
[01:32:11] idea it's gonna make an awful lot of
[01:32:12] sense to you now I have found when we
[01:32:15] start to study yourself there's only two
[01:32:16] points of reference we can go to one is
[01:32:18] science and they have this theology
[01:32:19] there doesn't seem to be anywhere else
[01:32:20] to go I have found that there are only
[01:32:23] six basic religions now I spent quite a
[01:32:25] bit of time living and working in
[01:32:27] California I think there's something
[01:32:28] like 4000 religions in California but
[01:32:31] everybody starts their own out there
[01:32:32] because there's tax breaks you say but
[01:32:36] you're still gonna find there's just six
[01:32:38] basic religions and they all teach us
[01:32:40] essentially the same thing they teach us
[01:32:43] that we are non-physical beings they may
[01:32:45] use a different word but the concept is
[01:32:47] the same you know it's a strange thing
[01:32:48] most people don't even know much about
[01:32:50] their own really
[01:32:51] and yet they say mine's right and all
[01:32:54] the rest are wrong and they don't even
[01:32:55] know what the others are I have found
[01:32:57] that every one of them has the truth in
[01:33:01] it
[01:33:01] we are non-physical beings see the truth
[01:33:03] is something like the center of town yet
[01:33:06] really doesn't matter which side you
[01:33:07] approach it from when you get there
[01:33:09] you're in the same place
[01:33:10] now the other area that we might want to
[01:33:13] look at is science science tells you
[01:33:15] your energy as a matter of fact I DuPont
[01:33:18] scientist many years ago said that the
[01:33:21] electrons and the atoms of your body
[01:33:23] contain a potential energy of more than
[01:33:25] eleven million kilowatt hours per pound
[01:33:28] do you know that there's enough
[01:33:29] potential energy locked up in that thing
[01:33:31] that you're sitting in that we call a
[01:33:32] body to light up this whole North
[01:33:34] American continent for nearly a week and
[01:33:36] then you'll hear people say I haven't
[01:33:38] got any energy what a ridiculous
[01:33:42] statement that's all we are as a massive
[01:33:44] energy you know this thing you're living
[01:33:45] in vibrates it glows as a matter of fact
[01:33:49] there is an aura of energy around your
[01:33:51] body that is the cells leaving your body
[01:33:54] your body changes at the rate of about
[01:33:56] 50,000 cells per second and as the BAA
[01:33:59] as cells leave the body new ones are
[01:34:00] created and you know you can photograph
[01:34:03] the energy leaving the body Semyon
[01:34:04] Kirlian way back in the early 30s
[01:34:07] perfected a form of photography where he
[01:34:10] could take and photograph mass and the
[01:34:12] rays of energy coming from the body
[01:34:14] would penetrate the camera penetrate the
[01:34:17] film and you'd actually catch it on the
[01:34:18] on the film and you'd photograph the
[01:34:20] density and the Colorado I would imagine
[01:34:23] you're very familiar with this are you
[01:34:24] honey that's right and you know as the
[01:34:27] image in a person's mind changes the
[01:34:30] vibration of their body changes and the
[01:34:32] density and the color of this energy
[01:34:34] changes and changes dramatically do you
[01:34:37] know you've even got a mental faculty
[01:34:38] where you can start the field light
[01:34:40] energy coming from a person and you can
[01:34:42] determine the mood they're in very very
[01:34:43] quickly you can virtually read what's
[01:34:45] going on inside an individual now as we
[01:34:49] study this we're gonna find that this
[01:34:50] side and this side is actually all
[01:34:53] hooked up think of this for a second you
[01:34:57] see sitting here on the lectern a glass
[01:35:00] of water now let's stop and think about
[01:35:03] this for a moment
[01:35:05] we call that glass it's actually energy
[01:35:08] because of the speed it's vibrating at
[01:35:10] we call it glass we call this water
[01:35:14] that's what it is it's water but it's
[01:35:18] actually energy too as a matter of fact
[01:35:21] the ring that's hitting it is energy and
[01:35:23] the finger that the ring is on is energy
[01:35:26] everything's energy everything vibrates
[01:35:30] at a different speed
[01:35:31] stay with me here for a moment what
[01:35:35] we're talking about here is energy now
[01:35:38] well the energy is in the vibratory rate
[01:35:41] it's in in that glass we're going to
[01:35:43] call it water and we call it water
[01:35:46] because it's vibrating and a physical or
[01:35:50] a Coryell state if you were to add heat
[01:35:53] to that energy that we call water you
[01:35:56] wouldn't call it water anymore then you
[01:35:57] change the terminology that you would
[01:35:59] use yet be the same energy but it would
[01:36:02] be moving faster in a higher speed of
[01:36:04] vibration then we would call it steam or
[01:36:07] vapor and we would call the energy
[01:36:09] steamer vapor because it's not in a
[01:36:11] physical vibration it's now moved into
[01:36:13] what we call an astral vibration if we
[01:36:17] were to continue to add heat to that
[01:36:18] energy that we now call steam you
[01:36:21] wouldn't call it steam any longer you
[01:36:23] would call it air ether gas and that's
[01:36:25] because it's not in an astral vibration
[01:36:28] any longer it's moved into now what we
[01:36:30] call an etheric vibration but every
[01:36:35] level it's the same energy now as we
[01:36:38] take a look at this we're going to let
[01:36:40] these lines represent levels of
[01:36:43] vibration or as we more commonly refer
[01:36:47] to them as frequencies and you know each
[01:36:50] frequency is hooked up to the one above
[01:36:52] and the one below there's no line of
[01:36:57] demarcation where one stops the other
[01:37:00] starts see every frequency it's like the
[01:37:03] colors of a rainbow as they fit together
[01:37:06] there's no place where one color stops
[01:37:08] and the other starts they're all joined
[01:37:10] together now you're never going to
[01:37:12] see that with something you call sight
[01:37:16] sight is a physical sensory factor you
[01:37:20] have to go to one of your higher
[01:37:22] faculties and you develop this through
[01:37:24] understanding you start to understand so
[01:37:28] you see the part of us that we cannot
[01:37:30] see and the part we can see is all the
[01:37:33] same this is just the flip side of the
[01:37:36] claim of this spirit always manifests
[01:37:39] through its polar opposite we have the
[01:37:41] ability right here to tap in to this
[01:37:45] great power that I choose to refer to as
[01:37:48] spirit and we can tap in with an
[01:37:51] intellect and we can cause this power to
[01:37:54] literally move in to form into something
[01:37:57] we call an idea that idea must literally
[01:38:03] move into something we refer to as
[01:38:06] results you see both science and
[01:38:09] theology clearly indicate nothing is
[01:38:12] created or destroyed the only thing you
[01:38:15] can do is cause it to change now this
[01:38:18] particular program is about prosperity
[01:38:20] and when we think of prosperity money
[01:38:22] plays a very large role but of course so
[01:38:25] do relationships and so does the health
[01:38:26] of our body but let's go back and think
[01:38:29] about money for a moment then when you
[01:38:31] think about money money is really an
[01:38:33] idea you say that's money no money is an
[01:38:37] idea let's manifest on paper now paper
[01:38:43] used to be wood I remember when I was a
[01:38:46] little boy I lived way up in mission but
[01:38:47] cotton Harbor that's about three wigwams
[01:38:49] the site at the North Pole little Martha
[01:38:51] King garden I think but at any rate when
[01:38:54] I lived up there I'd watch them take
[01:38:55] these large logs out on plot cars on the
[01:38:58] railroad and I remember people telling
[01:39:01] me that they were going to make paper
[01:39:02] out of it I thought how do you make
[01:39:04] paper out of a tree it didn't seem to
[01:39:06] make sense
[01:39:07] well you alter the vibratory rate of the
[01:39:09] energy that's called wood and pretty
[01:39:10] soon it's called paper and then you put
[01:39:12] ink on it and now we call it money now
[01:39:15] let's think about this money for a
[01:39:16] moment if it can be neither created nor
[01:39:18] destroyed it must already be here if we
[01:39:21] can't destroy it if heat will cause the
[01:39:25] energy that we call
[01:39:26] water to move into an etheric state I
[01:39:28] would imagine the heat would cause what
[01:39:30] we call money to move into an etheric
[01:39:32] state and there it goes and where is it
[01:39:36] you say it's gone it's not gone still
[01:39:39] here you see you'll never see it on the
[01:39:45] level it's on now with your physical
[01:39:47] sensory factors sight but if you use
[01:39:50] your intellect and develop understanding
[01:39:52] you'll know that it's still here what we
[01:39:56] want to do is cause it to move into form
[01:39:58] now that's just about as bizarre as they
[01:39:59] know ever here to some people's ears but
[01:40:04] I'm gonna tell you it's just as true as
[01:40:07] anything you'll ever hear if you
[01:40:08] understand natural laws and what I'm
[01:40:11] talking about is moving your mind into a
[01:40:13] higher vibration developing a higher
[01:40:15] consciousness and you can literally
[01:40:17] attract all the good that you want you
[01:40:19] see money is literally attracted to us
[01:40:21] or it's repelled you know in first 27
[01:40:26] years of my life I can assure you that I
[01:40:28] was not magnetized to that green energy
[01:40:30] yet used to stay away from me
[01:40:33] and now it just keeps coming to me what
[01:40:36] did he say in this book right in the
[01:40:38] start of it he said when money starts
[01:40:40] coming it'll come so fast and sure it's
[01:40:42] so furious it will literally make your
[01:40:44] head spin now let's take these simple
[01:40:52] concepts that have deep meaning and
[01:40:54] let's take this other board here and
[01:40:58] build a picture one of our intellectual
[01:41:03] factors is imagination
[01:41:06] another one is reason now with reason we
[01:41:11] have the ability to think John's going
[01:41:12] to be talking about that a little later
[01:41:13] on with our imagination we can tap into
[01:41:18] this infinite power and we can go
[01:41:20] beautiful pictures in our mind now since
[01:41:23] no one has an image of the mind we have
[01:41:25] to make one it's like the little boy in
[01:41:27] school he was sitting there dueling the
[01:41:29] way draw and picture and teacher says
[01:41:30] what are you doing son kid says I'm
[01:41:32] drawing a picture god teacher says
[01:41:34] nobody's ever seen God well he says will
[01:41:37] I finish the picture you know
[01:41:38] I heard about a gentleman that was
[01:41:46] running a seminar in Vancouver British
[01:41:47] Columbia I was living and working in
[01:41:50] Chicago at the time I at the time was
[01:41:53] prepared to go anywhere to try and find
[01:41:56] out why I changed and Vancouver was not
[01:41:59] too far to go from Chicago I always sort
[01:42:02] of laugh when I hear a person say or if
[01:42:05] you hold one one of these seminars in
[01:42:07] the East End of the city all calm but I
[01:42:09] don't want to drive across the city
[01:42:11] I'd walk across the continent if I
[01:42:14] thought I could get something that would
[01:42:15] help me understand me better because I
[01:42:18] know it's my understanding of me that's
[01:42:20] going to determine the results that I
[01:42:21] get in my life yet my happiness in my
[01:42:24] health or in the area of wealth
[01:42:27] well I flew off out to Vancouver and I
[01:42:30] had heard many speakers I'd read many
[01:42:33] books I had a ton of information running
[01:42:36] around my head but it couldn't get it to
[01:42:38] fit and I couldn't get it to fit for the
[01:42:41] same reason that some of you have never
[01:42:42] been able to get it to fit you have no
[01:42:44] picture in the brain cells of the mind
[01:42:48] do you know there's many psychiatrist
[01:42:50] says have problems with their patients
[01:42:52] because they're not giving them an image
[01:42:54] to work with when they're working with
[01:42:56] their mind I have taught this idea to
[01:42:58] psychiatrist I to psychiatrist Marty
[01:43:00] Cohen out in Century City California
[01:43:01] tell me that he made more headway with a
[01:43:04] patient in four visits than he had
[01:43:05] previously made in four years and the
[01:43:08] simple reason for it is he gave them
[01:43:10] order he gave them a picture to start to
[01:43:12] work with well as soon as this gentleman
[01:43:13] got up and started to speak he was great
[01:43:15] big gentleman by comparison to me he and
[01:43:17] I looked like Laurel and Hardy when we
[01:43:19] worked together but in any rate the
[01:43:20] second he got up to speak I knew this
[01:43:23] man knew what he was talking about and
[01:43:24] I'm gonna tell you I listened carefully
[01:43:26] I went over when he was finished I asked
[01:43:28] him I said could I spend a couple of
[01:43:29] hours with you and I'll never forget him
[01:43:31] looking at his watch and telling me that
[01:43:33] he was sorry he didn't have a couple of
[01:43:35] hours he had to go and catch a plane no
[01:43:37] he said I'd love to spend some time with
[01:43:39] you but he said I've got to catch a
[01:43:40] plane and I said well I've got to catch
[01:43:43] plane two I don't mean right now and I
[01:43:45] said where you going or he said where
[01:43:47] are you going I said I'm going home he
[01:43:48] said where do you live and I said
[01:43:49] Chicago I said what are you doing here
[01:43:51] I said like
[01:43:52] here you speak he's that's a long way
[01:43:55] and I said not for what I got so at any
[01:43:59] rate I think he was impressed today
[01:44:00] traveled so far he got his calendar out
[01:44:02] I got mine out and he told me he was
[01:44:04] going to be in Toronto in a couple of
[01:44:06] weeks
[01:44:06] I said well Toronto is only an hour from
[01:44:09] Chicago it was just up and down I'll
[01:44:10] come over if you'll meet with me well
[01:44:13] the two of us sat down the skyline hotel
[01:44:15] and I'm gonna tell you
[01:44:16] Leyland Bell Bend the wall taught me as
[01:44:18] much in two hours now I should say two
[01:44:21] days now it wasn't it was two towers we
[01:44:24] just spent a couple of days together but
[01:44:26] everything fell into place in just a
[01:44:28] couple of hours
[01:44:28] he taught me more in two hours than I
[01:44:31] had learned in nine years studying
[01:44:33] faithfully every day and he proceeded to
[01:44:36] tell me he said listen Bob he said
[01:44:37] there's a difference between hearing and
[01:44:39] listening
[01:44:41] he said you hear with your ears you
[01:44:43] listen with your emotions now he said as
[01:44:46] you sit here he said your mind could
[01:44:49] take a trip but your body would stay
[01:44:51] right in front of me now he said you'd
[01:44:53] hear every word I'm saying but he said
[01:44:55] you may not necessarily be listening he
[01:44:57] said if you're gonna learn you're gonna
[01:44:58] have to listen and you listen with your
[01:45:01] emotions you've got to keep your mind
[01:45:03] with your body no trips now I said if
[01:45:06] you do that odds are pretty good you'll
[01:45:07] learn and he says there's a vast
[01:45:08] difference between learning and
[01:45:10] gathering information he said you see
[01:45:11] all the way through school we were
[01:45:12] encouraged to read remember and repeat
[01:45:15] read remember and repeat if you were
[01:45:18] able to do that fairly well you were
[01:45:21] given the mortarboard of the sheepskin
[01:45:22] and they said you had learned doesn't
[01:45:24] necessarily mean you've learned anything
[01:45:25] at all you might have learned how to
[01:45:26] develop your memory did that might have
[01:45:29] been the end of it now I'm not saying no
[01:45:30] one learns doing that some do but he
[01:45:33] said learning is not gathering
[01:45:34] information learning is when you
[01:45:36] consciously entertain an idea you get
[01:45:39] emotionally involved in the idea you
[01:45:41] step out and act on the idea and you
[01:45:43] improve the results in some area of your
[01:45:47] life now I said this is the name of the
[01:45:50] game Bob he says its results pretty good
[01:45:52] teacher a long time ago said by their
[01:45:55] fruits you'll know them in other words
[01:45:57] you can always tell a person's level of
[01:46:00] awareness by the results they're getting
[01:46:02] if the results
[01:46:04] they have no one to blame but themselves
[01:46:07] for 27 years I blamed everybody I blame
[01:46:11] my parents I believe my brother my
[01:46:13] sister I blame my employers I blame the
[01:46:16] commanding officers ahead in the Navy it
[01:46:18] was never me always them they weren't
[01:46:22] doing enough for me they weren't doing
[01:46:24] it right
[01:46:25] the truth was I wasn't facing up to the
[01:46:27] truth about me
[01:46:28] I was never study and I didn't know
[01:46:30] anything about myself and as a result
[01:46:32] the results indicated it I was unhappy
[01:46:34] ii broke now he said Bob he's you're
[01:46:37] gonna have to alter some ideas in your
[01:46:38] mind but he said to do that you're gonna
[01:46:39] have to have a picture to work with and
[01:46:41] he told me about a doctor in San Antonio
[01:46:42] Texas doctor through Minh fleet he
[01:46:44] started the concept therapy movement he
[01:46:46] said he attempted to teach the healing
[01:46:49] arts and he run into a problem he said
[01:46:51] the medical profession that he was a
[01:46:55] part of we're treating symptoms or
[01:46:58] effects they were not treating causes
[01:47:00] and he said if you're ever going to
[01:47:03] enjoy health you must treat the whole
[01:47:06] person now that's called holistic
[01:47:09] healing how many of you are familiar
[01:47:11] with Willis tequila quite a few well
[01:47:15] that's where you heal the whole person
[01:47:17] you see you're a triune being you live
[01:47:19] simultaneously on three planes of
[01:47:21] understanding every one of us are the
[01:47:23] same every one of us the difference is
[01:47:26] in our results but the same here and
[01:47:28] that's where it all starts and that's
[01:47:30] what we want to understand when we walk
[01:47:32] into that office where the broadloom is
[01:47:34] up to our cheeks and there's a great big
[01:47:36] oak desk and a battery of secretaries
[01:47:38] that person is not that much better than
[01:47:41] you are I don't care how big their car
[01:47:42] is how much money they've got in the
[01:47:43] bank I don't care how pretty they are
[01:47:45] they're no better than you and they're
[01:47:48] no better than me see our problem is we
[01:47:50] have been living strictly with our
[01:47:52] sensory factors and never with our
[01:47:54] higher level of understanding if a
[01:47:56] person's skin is a different color we
[01:47:58] say they're different if a person who
[01:47:59] lives on the other side of an imaginary
[01:48:01] line we say they're different if a
[01:48:03] person speaks a different language we
[01:48:04] say they're different if a person is a
[01:48:06] different sex we say they're different
[01:48:08] are they no they appear different to our
[01:48:10] sight but when we develop a higher
[01:48:13] understanding we're going to find out
[01:48:14] that we're all the same and when we
[01:48:16] start to grasp
[01:48:17] then we can start to take action on the
[01:48:19] results we want as we see a person
[01:48:21] getting better results we can watch and
[01:48:22] see how they're getting them and then we
[01:48:24] can do what work what they're doing
[01:48:26] Napoleon Hill says it pays to know how
[01:48:29] to buy knowledge I'm going to tell you
[01:48:31] the best money you have ever invested is
[01:48:32] in this seminar and I'm not saying that
[01:48:34] because I'm selling the run yeah I'm not
[01:48:36] saying that because John sell nerdy
[01:48:37] John's done I'm not saying that at all
[01:48:40] I'm saying that because I've studied
[01:48:41] thousands of seminars and what we've
[01:48:43] done is take the very best of them all
[01:48:45] and put them in this when this was
[01:48:46] introduced to you early this morning
[01:48:48] this was advertised as the most
[01:48:50] effective personal development seminar
[01:48:52] in the world today it is so far as I
[01:48:54] know and I'm gonna tell ya I've been to
[01:48:56] a lot of them and it is because we give
[01:48:58] you a picture and then we show you how
[01:49:00] to change things
[01:49:00] well dr. fleet said if we're going to
[01:49:03] see hell we're going to have to give a
[01:49:04] person an image of the other side of
[01:49:06] their personality and he said since no
[01:49:09] one's ever seen the mine I'm going to
[01:49:11] make a picture of the mine now he said
[01:49:13] let this represent the mind then he said
[01:49:21] let this represent the thing that we've
[01:49:25] given all of our attention to now up
[01:49:27] till now the body and he says it's this
[01:49:30] thing here that moves into action and
[01:49:33] causes the results that we get if we're
[01:49:37] going to change what we do or if we're
[01:49:41] going to change our behavior we're
[01:49:43] definitely going to have to change
[01:49:44] what's going on in here if we're going
[01:49:46] to change what's going on in here we're
[01:49:48] gonna have to understand how it
[01:49:49] functions and as he pointed out there
[01:49:52] are two sections to the mind join
[01:49:56] together but different in their method
[01:49:59] of operation and he referred to this as
[01:50:02] the conscious mind and this as the
[01:50:04] subconscious mind now if you look on
[01:50:09] page 6 of your action planner you'll see
[01:50:14] that drawing the davyandelve and wall
[01:50:17] drew that on the opposite side of a
[01:50:20] placemat in the coffee shop of the
[01:50:23] skyline hotel on Dixon Road in Toronto
[01:50:26] Ontario Canada I'm going to tell you my
[01:50:28] life changed I've put that drawing on
[01:50:31] the
[01:50:31] or thousands and thousands of times in
[01:50:33] periodically I wanna do I hear people
[01:50:34] snicker but I'm gonna tell you if they
[01:50:36] stick around they don't snicker for long
[01:50:38] because what it does it starts to
[01:50:40] trigger all kinds of light in their mind
[01:50:42] you've heard let there be light let
[01:50:43] there be a higher consciousness let
[01:50:44] there be an awareness well what we've
[01:50:46] given you here is a picture to start
[01:50:48] working with it's not my picture it's
[01:50:50] not even through min pleats it's our
[01:50:53] picture second you've got it in your
[01:50:55] mind at yours no one can lay claim to
[01:50:57] something like this but we can all use
[01:51:00] it and we are all the same I don't care
[01:51:02] how different you may appear to be to
[01:51:04] the person beside you you and the person
[01:51:06] beside you are exactly the same
[01:51:08] now it's understanding of how this
[01:51:10] functions that makes it different now if
[01:51:12] you'll flip over in your exercise book
[01:51:15] your action planner to page 8 and I
[01:51:20] would suggest that you follow this
[01:51:24] really closely you could be sitting in
[01:51:27] your den or your family room and just
[01:51:31] watching this in the books tuck away
[01:51:33] somewhere that'd be a terrible error
[01:51:35] you'd be wasting your time and you know
[01:51:37] time wasted you never get back now of
[01:51:40] course you only have to pay once you're
[01:51:44] saying if you've wasted the past you've
[01:51:46] already paid the price you don't have to
[01:51:47] pay twice there's one some consolation
[01:51:48] to it but I would suggest you get the
[01:51:50] book out and follow me here now you'll
[01:51:53] notice on page eight and nine are six
[01:51:56] drawings there it's actually just three
[01:51:59] different ideas or it's one idea broken
[01:52:02] down into three different parts and as
[01:52:04] you take a look on page eight the
[01:52:06] conscious mind the subconscious mind in
[01:52:07] the body there are some very key parts
[01:52:10] to that on the top drawing on page eight
[01:52:14] we say this is the part of your mind
[01:52:17] that thinks or reasons this is where
[01:52:21] your free will lives Viktor Frankl wrote
[01:52:25] a magnificent book called man's search
[01:52:27] for meaning Viktor Frankl was a Jewish
[01:52:30] psychiatrist who spent the warriors in a
[01:52:32] German concentration camp and you know I
[01:52:35] don't suppose anyone has ever been
[01:52:37] subjected to more abuse intellectually
[01:52:39] and physically than someone in one of
[01:52:41] those camps I certainly couldn't even
[01:52:43] imagine it even although he
[01:52:45] wrote it very well but he pointed out he
[01:52:48] said regardless of how they chained us
[01:52:50] and abused us they could never take
[01:52:53] control of our mind unless we chose to
[01:52:55] let them he did not choose to let them
[01:52:57] Viktor Frankl was a courageous man he's
[01:53:00] lived to talk about it
[01:53:01] he's lived to teach about and I'm gonna
[01:53:03] tell you he's a wise person that's where
[01:53:05] your freewill lies you don't have to
[01:53:07] follow anybody else we say the conscious
[01:53:11] mind can accept or reject any idea now
[01:53:14] there is no person or circumstance that
[01:53:16] can cause you to think thoughts or ideas
[01:53:17] you do not choose there are the most
[01:53:20] important lines that you might find in
[01:53:22] this entire program now what I'm going
[01:53:26] to do is run over a few ideas and as I
[01:53:30] do with each part on page 9 jot some of
[01:53:33] them down not what I say but what it
[01:53:37] means to you now let's understand this
[01:53:39] right away what I say or what John says
[01:53:42] in this seminar is not that important
[01:53:44] what you see us put on the board is not
[01:53:47] that important there are different
[01:53:49] little props that we may use they're not
[01:53:51] important what's important is what you
[01:53:54] think as a result of something we may
[01:53:56] say or you may see on the board that's
[01:54:00] what's important there's something you
[01:54:02] want and there might be one idea that we
[01:54:05] fire it that'll just trigger something
[01:54:06] in your mind and away you go and you can
[01:54:09] do anything you want
[01:54:10] I was talking to Raymond Aaron here
[01:54:14] earlier this morning he's got a
[01:54:15] millionaire's called and there's many of
[01:54:16] you in the audience now I want to
[01:54:17] congratulate you I think it's a great
[01:54:18] idea he's teaching people how to become
[01:54:20] millionaires I watched a lot of people
[01:54:21] laugh when they say what he's already
[01:54:25] made a hundred a hundred people here
[01:54:31] have developed a net worth of at least a
[01:54:34] million dollars just you one person's
[01:54:36] teaching it is incredible in it it
[01:54:39] really is that's not a crazy idea told
[01:54:42] you ought to be a millionaire you can be
[01:54:43] a millionaire do you want to start your
[01:54:46] own business you construct your own
[01:54:47] business he'd do anything you want but
[01:54:49] clearly understand this if you don't
[01:54:52] know how this works you haven't got a
[01:54:54] snowball's chance in that hot place of
[01:54:56] doing it
[01:54:57] we're just about to the end of this
[01:54:59] first tape there's been some very
[01:55:02] important material covered it's vitally
[01:55:05] important that you go back and you read
[01:55:07] through this book possibly even watch
[01:55:11] the entire tape again before going on to
[01:55:13] the next tape read from page five to
[01:55:16] page eight cover your own notes and pay
[01:55:20] particular attention to page eight
[01:55:22] before you go to the second tape please
[01:55:26] understand this this program will be of
[01:55:29] little value if you have not established
[01:55:31] a goal something you really want that
[01:55:34] you're emotionally involved in that
[01:55:36] you're working towards possibly to help
[01:55:39] you before we go to the second tape
[01:55:41] we'll take you on a little tour down
[01:55:43] through some tropical island
[01:55:46] [Music]
