[00:00] What?
[00:00] Um, what day does it What day of the week we did this come out?
[00:03] July Wednesday.
[00:04] I think the first.
[00:04] Yeah.
[00:07] Happy birthday to me.
[00:09] Oh, happy birthday.
[00:09] Thanks, guys.
[00:13] I get to have like my birthday twice because I'm having it right now.
[00:16] Huge, huge moment.
[00:19] The floor is yours, madame.
[00:21] Welcome back to another episode of Two Parents in a Podcast.
[00:23] You guys, today is a fun one because we're going to do like a allow us to reintroduce ourselves episode.
[00:29] Also, it's my birthday.
[00:33] We think.
[00:34] Happy birthday to me.
[00:35] Happy birthday to you, assuming this comes out July 1st.
[00:38] The Yeah, we're we're recording it, you know, a week before and I'm pretty sure it's going to come out July 1st.
[00:45] And it's fitting because now I'm 33 years old and what better than on your birthday than to do like a a reintroduction.
[00:50] talk about yourself.
[00:54] Yeah.
[00:54] Well, that part I hate, but we're gonna do it.
[00:56] So, we're not going to ramble off the top.
[00:57] We are in Aspen for
[01:01] The fourth and we're with the neighbors.
[01:04] We're probably having a great time.
[01:06] We pre-recorded this because we still wanted to put out an episode.
[01:11] So, also, you guys are submitting Q&A questions for um Friday's episode.
[01:17] And so, we're going to do that.
[01:17] And so, let's get into it.
[01:19] We're not going to.
[01:20] What we're going to talk about is Harrison and I before we met.
[01:25] Why?
[01:25] First off, why are we why are we doing this episode?
[01:27] We have a lot of new listeners.
[01:29] Um, we're doing three episodes.
[01:32] We Two parents in a pod has grown a lot.
[01:34] Socials have grown and so it's just time to do like a a a reintroduction for those people that think they missed something.
[01:42] This is meant to give you the whole picture and hopefully have some new tidbits as well.
[01:46] Totally.
[01:46] And so we're going to do, you know, all the way we're going to do before we met and then we're going to do, you know, during us meeting, how we decided to have kids so quickly and then all the way up until like the nanny share, how we decided to do the nanny share, where the nanny share is.
[02:00] So all the way up until real life.
[02:00] So to begin,
[02:03] I'll go first.
[02:05] What?
[02:05] Before we go.
[02:06] Okay.
[02:07] You walked downstairs this I walked downstairs this morning and what did you say?
[02:14] Then we walked downstairs. the pool.
[02:16] Something at the pool.
[02:17] No, that was the second time.
[02:19] That was I said, "Do you want eggs?"
[02:21] No, the third time I walked downstairs.
[02:23] I love your outfit.
[02:25] Okay.
[02:25] Yes.
[02:25] You're warm.
[02:25] Now, what is the significance of what I'm wearing today?
[02:29] All black and white.
[02:32] No.
[02:32] Have you seen Have you seen this outfit before?
[02:36] Oh my god.
[02:36] It's our first No, it's not our first date outfit.
[02:39] This is the shirt and the hat I wore on first date.
[02:41] No, it's not.
[02:41] Yes, it is.
[02:41] Harrison Daniel, you wore a wife beater with the Rob's popcorn jacket over it.
[02:45] I wore and I'll die on that hill.
[02:48] This was in between the jacket and the beater and I have the beater on.
[02:53] Okay, that's really really really cute.
[02:55] That's Harrison
[02:58] and the same hat.
[02:59] I remember the hat.
[02:59] He also wore you this really cool what is that called?
[03:02] A bowling jacket.
[03:04] Yeah, I was going to wear I was going to bring the jacket but it's like 100° outside.
[03:08] So, also I'm wearing shorts,
[03:10] but same kind of
[03:12] No, you wore je you did you wore your
[03:14] I wore painter pants.
[03:15] Yeah, painter pants.
[03:16] I loved your first date outfit.
[03:18] Oh my gosh, I was so obsessed with you the moment you stepped out of the Uber because as I've told this
[03:22] Okay, I'm not going to say as I've said before on this episode because everything is I would just it would be the whole episode.
[03:27] I was really worried.
[03:29] Is he actually 6'2 or is that the roster height?
[03:33] And he's actually six foot cuz I'm 5'10.
[03:36] What do you say?
[03:37] I'm actually six foot.
[03:39] No, I'm saying or is he actually six foot?
[03:41] Like, or that was what I was so worried about.
[03:43] I was like, "Are you a real 6'2 or are you actually six foot?"
[03:45] And you're just like, "You're, you know, the roster height.
[03:47] Everyone lies."
[03:49] Um, and you got out of the Uber and I was like, "Yes,
[03:50] he's a real 6'2."
[03:53] And that was really all I was waiting for.
[03:54] You're wearing cowboy boots.
[03:55] That's right.
[03:56] That's a game changer.
[03:57] But then I'm usually wearing cowboy boots when you are.
[03:59] And so then I'm 5'11.
[04:04] So the inches, they skew.
[04:04] And what's the most important part about our
[04:05] height?
[04:07] I I actually have no idea.
[04:08] Our posture.
[04:09] Posture is very important.
[04:10] Posture is very important with our height because we have to stand up straight or we don't reach our full potential.
[04:14] Yes.
[04:15] Okay. We talk about this often. Jules.
[04:18] Um. All right. So, that is the first thing I think that you and I consistently talk about that Jules does not know.
[04:26] Jules does not know about.
[04:27] Yeah. No.
[04:28] Posture is a big conversation point in our household.
[04:31] Does someone have bad posture?
[04:32] Uh, we could just always have better posture. on a quest for improved posture.
[04:37] Okay. On a on a in a world with technology, you know, they call it tech neck where you're leaning forward.
[04:42] We just we need to make sure that we're mindful of our posture.
[04:46] Everyone Yeah. terrible posture.
[04:48] Yeah. So, great posture, Jules.
[04:50] No, but we can all you I don't know anybody that has Well, well, ballet D.
[04:52] So, I'm sure P has great posture because typically dancers have beautiful posture.
[04:58] You know who's amazing posture?
[04:59] Who?
[05:00] Babies. They sit up so straight.
[05:03] That's true. Maybe because they don't have any bad habits yet.
[05:05] I notice it all the time.
[05:06] They do.
[05:06] They have no bad habits.
[05:08] It's very true.
[05:09] When Tate just
[05:10] Yeah, they do.
[05:10] They sit up straight.
[05:12] Um, all right.
[05:12] So, let's begin.
[05:14] My name is Alex.
[05:15] Wow.
[05:16] Ground.
[05:16] Actually, my You know, my real name is Alexa.
[05:18] Yeah.
[05:18] So, give us give us the background on Alexa.
[05:21] I was born Alexa Leanne.
[05:21] And so, my dad said, "I want to name my parents decided they want to name me Alex."
[05:28] My dad was like, "Okay, but only if it's Alexa, not Alexandria."
[05:31] So, my birth name is Alexa, but they always called me Alex.
[05:33] Leanne's my middle name.
[05:35] Um, which is my aunt's names combined.
[05:37] Lean Anne.
[05:37] And yeah, so I was born in Oklahoma City.
[05:41] Actually, I was born in Edmund, which is a suburb outside of Oklahoma City.
[05:45] Born and raised there.
[05:47] Uh, my parents still live there.
[05:49] My family still lives there.
[05:51] I went to high school there.
[05:53] Like, loved high school.
[05:53] Played competitive volleyball.
[05:54] I still have my high school group texts.
[05:57] It's called cakes, which is the first abbreviation of all of our first names.
[06:00] Yeah, I really like to do that.
[06:01] Went to college at the University of Oklahoma.
[06:07] Um, I have a good amount of best friends.
[06:10] Harrison's doing a horns down.
[06:12] I have a good amount of best friends from Oklahoma.
[06:15] My very best friend, her name is Sydney.
[06:18] We met when we were like I I always say she was in the waiting room when I was born.
[06:21] I actually think we like first met when we were like one month old, maybe.
[06:24] Um, still my best friend till this day.
[06:26] I'm texting her right now.
[06:28] And then in college, I met my other best friends and I'm very like I they all live in Oklahoma now.
[06:31] I love them so much.
[06:33] Even though I don't live in Oklahoma, the best part about it is like keeping up with them.
[06:38] We all have kids now.
[06:40] It's just like it's very fun.
[06:43] So anyways, went to U. I worked for a girl by the name of Jennifer Welch, which a lot of you always message me about, and you're like, "What's going on?"
[06:49] Like, "What? How do you know Jennifer?"
[06:51] Blah, blah.
[06:53] I worked for her.
[06:58] She was the greatest first boss a girl could ask for.
[07:01] She I I could tell you so many funny stories about Jennifer that like you there's not enough time on this
[07:06] Podcast.
[07:06] Let's do one story.
[07:08] What's a good Jennifer Welsh story you're learning?
[07:09] Um she's very efficient.
[07:13] Well, I'm just thinking let me just rattle off a couple.
[07:14] Number one, she always carries a a $1, a hundred $1 bills with her that you can peel off.
[07:19] Does that make sense?
[07:21] So, you actually go to the bank and ask for a book of ones and you can literally peel them off like post-it notes.
[07:26] What?
[07:28] So, she never has she never doesn't have tip money.
[07:31] Very smart of her.
[07:32] Number one, she taught me that.
[07:36] Um, number two, she would always fly first class and she always said, "I didn't work this hard to not fly first class."
[07:43] And I like the I like a staff to guest ratio at a hotel that's more staff than guests.
[07:47] Like, she she talks like that.
[07:49] She's very like she earned her money.
[07:52] Like, she's very She's such a hard worker and like earned her money.
[07:55] She's very proud of that as she should be and like so she loves to travel.
[07:56] Well, she always said she's a travel snob.
[07:58] And one time we were flying out to meet a client in West Palm Beach and there was no more first class seats left on the airplane.
[08:05] So I was like,
[08:06] Hey, we're going to sit in row 12.
[08:07] She's like, "That's fine, but you know, I love the window."
[08:09] I'm like, "Perfect."
[08:10] So I book her the window seat and I'm in the middle seat and we sit down and she's talking to me and she's like, "I'm never I'm never flying back here again."
[08:18] And I just started laughing and I pointed at her window.
[08:19] I was like, "At least you got the window."
[08:20] And you know how on some airplanes they actually don't have a window in some seats?
[08:23] She had that seat.
[08:26] So I pointed over there and she turned to look outside the window and she looked back at me.
[08:29] And you know this if you know her, she looks at me, she goes, "I hate it here."
[08:35] And I was like, "Yeah, I know you do."
[08:37] Um, and the last Jennifer story is efficiency is her favorite thing.
[08:41] So if we're driving somewhere and there's not a parking spot up front, that would drive her crazy.
[08:47] So she would park illegally.
[08:48] And I and so before I got to know her very well, I'd be like, "Hey, you might get a ticket."
[08:53] And she'd be like, "Okay."
[08:54] And I'd be like, and it actually says they'll tow you.
[08:58] And she turned around and looked at me and she said, "Well, there's Uber."
[08:59] And then like walked inside the door and I was like, "Okay, great."
[09:02] So she just she was so much fun to work for.
[09:05] And there were mornings I'll never forget.
[09:08] days where we were at the office until midnight.
[09:13] There was a marble install at 5:00 a.m.
[09:15] We were both there and it was working for her was a real joy because she worked really hard and she was always in a good mood and fun to work for and a really good person.
[09:25] So anyways, I loved working for Jennifer and she'll always be very near and dear to my heart.
[09:30] And now she's now she's a podcaster.
[09:32] She got the I've had it pod.
[09:35] Um, she also had a reality show and that was really cool in Oklahoma and I was on it because part of the job the second season was like her the person that worked for her was just on it and so that was like part of the job and I just remember thinking like this this girl she was so cool to me.
[09:52] She still is so cool to me.
[09:53] So was that your first ever exposure to content as well was being in the show or you making content beforehand?
[09:59] No, I wasn't making content then.
[10:03] Like I was running the Jennifer Welch Instagram page and we had so much fun doing that because I was just like exposing her at
[10:09] all times. Like I was just following her around.
[10:11] So that was a little bit of it.
[10:12] Yeah.
[10:12] Um pe people ask like what's one behind the scenes thing on a reality TV show when we talk about reality TV.
[10:21] Well, I think the green screen is the most fascinating part.
[10:22] Like you'd show up on Saturday, you would do hair and makeup.
[10:26] They would say, "Hey, you should wear this color."
[10:27] Like wear you'd bring three shirts.
[10:29] They'd pick the shirt, you'd put it on, and they would sit there and they would ask you questions.
[10:33] Did you ever get a green screen moment?
[10:35] Yeah.
[10:36] Really?
[10:36] So, you were a character in the show?
[10:38] Like kind of like I was just like Jennifer's I think they didn't they called me the project manager.
[10:44] Okay.
[10:44] And she was definitely a character cuz people ask.
[10:47] The way Jennifer described me was the what did she say?
[10:51] It was she had a great line.
[10:53] The smartest airhead.
[10:57] That's that was what it was.
[10:57] She was like, "You are so books smart, but there are some times where she would say a word to me and I'd be like, I've never heard that one."
[11:05] So, it was like And she You've never met her.
[11:05] I can't wait for you to meet her.
[11:10] This She is sharp, well read, books, smart, danc.
[11:15] I I look forward to the day.
[11:15] Number one.
[11:17] Number two is I love that if I'm learning right now, I'm sure the listener all listeners are learning about like I had I didn't know that these specifics.
[11:25] What? What if you guys did a watch along?
[11:29] Oh, that would be so funny.
[11:29] We could do that.
[11:32] It would help you learn about her and our working environment.
[11:36] Yeah, I'd love to.
[11:37] She's funny.
[11:37] She's witty.
[11:37] There was pumps was there.
[11:40] It was this job.
[11:40] Like I had a very cool job.
[11:44] Love it.
[11:45] That also taught me a work ethic which was great.
[11:48] So my parents like also loved that I had it, right?
[11:50] And we would have parties at our office and it was cool.
[11:52] It was really, really cool.
[11:54] Sounds it.
[11:56] Um, okay.
[11:56] So, anyways, then I moved out to Orange County, California, and I lived in Newport Beach on the peninsula.
[12:03] It was really cool.
[12:03] And the and the thing about that was that was I lived out there when CO hit.
[12:06] So, for CO, I was living in a beach town, and that was
[12:12] Awesome. I moved out there with my college boyfriend.
[12:15] We ended up getting married.
[12:18] We lived in Orange County, then we moved to LA, and then we moved to New York because I got the job at Bartool.
[12:24] And then basically him and I, we were married for 4 years.
[12:30] Him and I decided, okay, we want different things in life.
[12:32] And long story short, we end up getting divorced.
[12:38] And a lot of people are always messaging me being like, okay, so I worked at, so I was at Bartool in New York doing content.
[12:43] Well, let me back up.
[12:45] So, I started making content during CO of my mom and I would fly home to Oklahoma City because, you know, you just kind of a lot of kids lived at home during CO, which was it was kind of a cool thing because when is I don't remember how old I was, a 26-year-old ever going to live at home again.
[13:00] And so, I would go home to Oklahoma City and I had dyed my hair.
[13:03] Do you know this?
[13:07] I had dyed the bottom half of my hair bright blue.
[13:08] When I tell you I thought it looked awesome.
[13:10] Like I did not think I was like
[13:12] I'm probably going to have this hairstyle forever cuz like I can't look better.
[13:17] Looking back on it I'm like who let me do that?
[13:20] I love colorful hair.
[13:22] I've always loved it.
[13:22] But you know who doesn't like colorful hair is my mom.
[13:26] Hey.
[13:26] Oh look at that.
[13:26] Do you like it?
[13:29] No.
[13:29] No.
[13:29] I think it's ugly.
[13:29] That's her way of saying she's happy I'm home.
[13:32] E.
[13:36] That one means I love you.
[13:38] Lum.
[13:38] Gosh, your hair is awful.
[13:40] Mom, I'm sorry.
[13:41] It's awful.
[13:43] Okay, I think you should cut it off.
[13:46] She still loves me.
[13:47] Yes, I still love you.
[13:48] So, I dye the bottom half starting at my like collar bone down bright as bright blue as it gets.
[13:53] And I'm like, put it back in a ponytail.
[13:55] I go home and I'm about to walk in the door and I'm like, "Hey, dad, film this cuz like mom's going to hate my hair."
[14:00] She did.
[14:00] She hated it.
[14:02] She was like, "We should, what do we do? Do we get it cut?"
[14:05] And like I loved it.
[14:05] And so I started just like making fun quirky videos like that.
[14:07] I loved making videos at the beginning.
[14:10] I remember I put my first Tik Tok up, put
[14:14] my phone up, went to Tulsa to visit Nugget.
[14:17] I think her sister was graduating.
[14:19] Yeah, her sister was graduating high school.
[14:21] Put my phone up.
[14:23] Three days later or two days later, I opened my Tik Tok because all the girls were talking about Tik Tok.
[14:27] I was like, I made a Tik Tok the other day.
[14:29] I opened it up and I was like, whoa, that Tik Tok went viral.
[14:31] So the first Tik Tok you made, was it the blue hair video?
[14:34] Yeah.
[14:35] Okay.
[14:35] Maybe I had posted one before that I don't but the first like notable.
[14:39] It's it's probably my first one, two, or three.
[14:41] Okay.
[14:41] You know how like you open the app everyone like you're like there's this new app people are talking about.
[14:46] So you weren't addicted to it out of the gates.
[14:49] Harrison, I didn't scroll TikTok till like last year.
[14:52] Okay.
[14:52] So couple things.
[14:56] I thought that that video was like a bit.
[14:59] I thought that you dyed your hair cuz you told me about this video probably too like at some point in the past couple years and I watched it and I was fully under the impression it was a bit number one and number two I thought you'd made that like in the thick of your like I thought
[15:17] you were already making content at that point.
[15:20] I thought that was just like the first one that really took off.
[15:22] No.
[15:25] So, I popped that up and I was like, "Wow, that and a lot of people were just like, "Oh my god, this is so my mom."
[15:30] Also, we had a zebra rug.
[15:32] You know how it's always the little things in life, like the little things in the videos.
[15:35] I mean, yeah, we had a zebra rug that my parents like got in an auction or something.
[15:40] We got on like the PETA side of TikTok and they were very mad about the rug.
[15:47] So, that was also helping the engagement.
[15:48] So, that that's part one.
[15:51] Then I was like still at home and I was like, "All right, I'll just make staying at home during during this time like kind of a thing."
[15:59] So I made another video that was what was my second one?
[16:06] Oh, it was my parents being like, "We're so happy you're home."
[16:11] Um like, "Love, love that you're staying home. Like my adult child is home for the day, right?"
[16:14] And then like I did
[16:17] them both leaving the house like at 9:00 a.m.
[16:20] Like so they're both like please stay another day like extend your trip.
[16:23] like we'll have so much fun and then boom they left right.
[16:25] You get it?
[16:26] Yeah.
[16:27] And so then like my mom was like I got to go to yoga.
[16:28] My dad's like but I have a meeting.
[16:29] And so then like I showed me eating every meal by myself in the house that day.
[16:32] Okay.
[16:33] But like so fun that I stayed home with my parents.
[16:34] Yay.
[16:35] Like do you know what I mean?
[16:36] I think you should change your flight to tomorrow.
[16:39] Could be fun.
[16:39] Tomorrow the 700 a.m. flight all day with my parents.
[16:45] But then she had to get on her calls.
[16:47] So there's two angles you can get that which requires coffee.
[16:48] is Thank you.
[16:50] I still didn't mix it very much.
[16:52] She likes it frothed.
[16:54] One color engraving.
[16:55] Okay, I'll hang with dad.
[16:57] Where are you going?
[16:57] I'm going to lunch and I have two meetings.
[17:00] What kind of meetings?
[17:01] You be back.
[17:02] I don't know.
[17:04] Got to go. Love you.
[17:04] Lunch alone.
[17:06] So I did a couple things like that.
[17:08] They all did really well while I was home.
[17:09] So I was like this social media thing is fun.
[17:11] Then I went back to LA and I would like do some.
[17:13] like I was trying out a bunch of
[17:18] different things in content.
[17:20] So I would do I think I did like an unpack with me video which didn't do well.
[17:23] So I was like very much so trying to figure out this Tik Tok thing.
[17:25] Maybe I had 10,000 followers.
[17:28] So you got followers quick.
[17:30] Well yeah the Yeah.
[17:34] But then you know I was try and I would even try like talking to my little like hat.
[17:35] I I had like a pet hat that I did.
[17:37] Yeah.
[17:40] I can't remember his name.
[17:41] He was like an octopus or something.
[17:43] Loved him.
[17:45] I can still remember him.
[17:45] And so, yeah.
[17:45] And my best friend, uh, Katie Beach.
[17:47] So, Katie Beach makes mom content and I and I know people know we like follow each other and we comment on it.
[17:53] We became best friends out in Newport Beach because my husband at the time and her husband played on a inner uh inter mural basketball team together and her and I met loved each other.
[18:02] She sent me my first ring light.
[18:05] She was like, "I'm so proud of you for making content.
[18:07] way to put yourself out there.
[18:08] And I got a ring light in the mail and it was from her and I'll never forget that.
[18:11] So, thank you, Katie.
[18:13] Now she makes content and now she has a podcast and yeah, now she's a mom.
[18:16] So,
[18:21] We were actually talking the other day about trying to meet up.
[18:24] So, anyways, characters from the past life.
[18:24] We've got Jennifer Welch and we've got Katie Beach.
[18:27] So, then I go out to New York and I work at Bar Stool for a year and a half.
[18:35] I had a podcast with my mom.
[18:38] I had Mean Girl Pod with Jordan, which was amazing.
[18:41] It's like a chapter I look back on in my life that I'm so thankful for and I learned so much.
[18:45] And that was really the start to podcast and media for me.
[18:47] All the while the end of that, my the our my marriage was going basically.
[18:56] We the best way to sum it up is we wanted different things.
[18:58] And it's also worth saying it was a very painful time for me.
[19:01] Um, it was I I shut off.
[19:03] I had a hard time telling my friends.
[19:09] I did tell them, but I really had a hard time doing it.
[19:11] Like I remember voiceoning one of my friends being like, 'I can't even pick up the phone and call you.
[19:17] I'm just going to tell you, you know, we're getting divorced.'
[19:18] And I sent it to her and she just responded
[19:21] back and was like, "I love you so much.
[19:22] I get it.
[19:22] Like, this isn't about me.
[19:24] And so, you know, my friends were awesome through it, but it was Yeah.
[19:28] I mean, that it was painful.
[19:28] So, but I say that to say I I think I can recount it because you and I sit here in such a happy place now.
[19:37] And I look back on that actually really thankful for the lessons I learned from it.
[19:41] And and I also learned like I was really tough, you know, like [ __ ] was hitting the fan and I learned like, okay, Alex, you're gonna have to figure out how to take care of yourself.
[19:53] And I did that and so I'm really proud of that.
[19:54] I was really proud of myself for having the foresight to push the divorce forward before we had kids because, you know, we both knew we wanted to have a family.
[20:06] Um, I knew it wasn't going to be together.
[20:06] And it was the hardest thing I'd ever done and brought up, but I'm I I'm so glad now understanding what it's like having a family with somebody that I did that.
[20:19] And it's it sometime some
[20:23] sometimes the toughest decisions you
[20:24] make also end up being the best
[20:25] decisions you make. And I think I knew
[20:27] that. I think I knew if you do this now,
[20:28] it will pay dividends later. And I sit
[20:30] here with you today and I say, "Wow,
[20:32] okay. Good job, Alex." But also, I say
[20:35] this part because
[20:37] a lot of people will, some people know
[20:40] I'm divorced and they'll message me
[20:41] about that being like, you know, I just
[20:42] broke up with my boyfriend. Like, I hope
[20:44] I end up where you do. Some people will
[20:46] message me and be like, I just want to
[20:48] find the husband that you found. you
[20:49] know, like I'm having such a hard time
[20:51] dating or I've had my heart broken XYZ
[20:53] and I just I want to say this is a part
[20:55] of my story and it's a very important
[20:56] part of it. You know, like Harrison and
[20:58] I didn't we didn't trip and fall and
[21:00] just like this was it.
[21:01] We weren't high school sweethearts. Far
[21:03] far from it.
[21:04] Far far from it. And we both came from
[21:06] breakups and like, you know, people that
[21:09] you think you're going to spend the rest
[21:10] of your life with and then that's not
[21:12] the case. And you have to make the hard
[21:14] decision then. you know, in your 20s it
[21:17] seems like in your later 20s and you
[21:19] were in your 30s. I think it seems like
[21:21] the end of the world or you or you get
[21:23] scared to break up with those people
[21:25] because you're like, well, it's, you
[21:27] know, this is who I've got and you go
[21:29] for it. And I think us being able to say
[21:32] like we had two awesome people, but
[21:33] these weren't the people for us. And
[21:35] ending that um even though it was
[21:38] painful and even though it was hard, I'm
[21:39] I'm really proud of us for doing because
[21:40] then it enabled us to find each other.
[21:43] And when we found each other, and we'll
[21:45] talk about our first date and things
[21:46] like that, but when Harrison and I found
[21:48] each other, we had the background
[21:51] knowledge of this is what I'm looking
[21:54] for. Like, and we'll talk to you about
[21:57] our first like when we met, we were
[21:59] like, this is our person. And then fast
[22:00] forward today, we're married with two
[22:02] kids. So, anyways, that I'll I'll stop
[22:05] there. Does that work? And then you go
[22:08] and that'll bring us to when we met.
[22:10] You're such a good storyteller. Like
[22:12] when we talked about how we'll do like
[22:14] some kind of brief intros, like I was
[22:16] legit planning on mine being 45 seconds
[22:19] and that was that was like I was so
[22:22] interested in that story even though
[22:25] I've heard it like you know many times
[22:29] but I also learned I learned some new
[22:31] stuff there which was cool.
[22:32] Yeah. Yeah. It was I
[22:36] You're going to have to help me tell my
[22:37] story so it sounds as as cool as yours.
[22:40] Well, I think I say this for both of us.
[22:41] Like I'm very
[22:45] like I think back on my life with a lot
[22:48] of fondness
[22:49] and there's a period in there that was
[22:50] really really hard for me and I I would
[22:52] like to make that very known. Like
[22:55] even if you watch my content, I was
[22:57] looking back at photos the other day and
[22:58] I was just like my hair was really long.
[23:00] Like I was clearly like struggling. I
[23:02] was having a bit of an identity. Mhm.
[23:04] But as you know what, as anybody in
[23:07] their 20s, I think should. And
[23:10] um and I'm good with that because it
[23:11] allowed me to find myself on the other
[23:13] side. So here we go. Htown, talk to us,
[23:16] Canadian boy.
[23:17] Good. Good.

[24:33] quint.com/alex.
[24:36] Yes. So, I'm from Canada. My name is
[24:38] Harrison.
[24:38] Hi, Harrison. That's your birth name.
[24:41] Harrison Daniel.
[24:42] That is my birth name. And yeah, born
[24:44] and raised Vancouver, Canada. Went to
[24:47] school in Montreal.
[24:50] And when I graduated school, I knew I
[24:52] wanted to live in a major metropolitan
[24:55] city. And as a Canadian kid, to me, that
[24:58] meant one of two things. It meant New
[25:00] York or London.
[25:01] Okay.
[25:02] And I was like, "All right, how do I get
[25:03] to New York or how do I get to London?"
[25:06] And given I knew pretty much nobody in
[25:08] either place. And I was like, I I from
[25:12] what I'd learned and heard, you can
[25:14] either be a lawyer or be a banker. And
[25:17] to be a lawyer, I needed to go back to
[25:19] school. And so, I figured I would find
[25:22] um
[25:24] I would
[25:26] go find a way to work for work for a
[25:29] bank.
[25:29] Okay.
[25:30] I didn't really even know what that
[25:31] meant. Um
[25:34] like the difference between investment
[25:35] banking and sales and trading. I just
[25:37] knew like I wanted to be in New York and
[25:38] I wanted to have an awesome job. And so,
[25:41] uh, funny enough, when I was deciding
[25:43] where to school, go to school, I was
[25:46] introduced to a guy, um, I'll just, his
[25:50] name is Matt. I won't use his last name.
[25:52] And I was like, hey, here are the two
[25:54] options for me to go to school. Where
[25:56] should I go to school? And he was like,
[26:01] no one has heard of school A, but
[26:04] everyone in New York has heard of school
[26:06] B, so go to go to Miguel. uh he's like
[26:09] if you're going to go in Canada that's
[26:10] that's the school for you and I followed
[26:14] him on that whim. That is why I went to
[26:16] Miguel.
[26:17] Okay.
[26:17] And then when I was in my junior year
[26:21] looking to get a finance internship, he
[26:25] was a finance guy in New York. Literally
[26:27] the only person I knew in New York and
[26:30] that person also worked actually I knew
[26:32] two people in New York.
[26:33] Okay.
[26:34] Uh and he worked in finance. I called
[26:36] him and he helped me get an interview at
[26:40] uh at the firm he worked at and I'm
[26:42] forever grateful to him as my life would
[26:46] be on a very different path without him
[26:48] and got an internship
[26:50] and following that internship worked for
[26:53] that bank for seven years.
[26:54] Okay.
[26:55] And worked between New York, Hong Kong
[26:59] and San Francisco
[27:01] and it was a phenomenal experience. I
[27:04] love
[27:04] Well, hold on. That's going to be your
[27:06] way of saying you lived in San Francisco
[27:07] and Hong Kong.
[27:09] Okay. So, I'm in New York for a couple
[27:12] years.
[27:12] I think you living in Hong Kong is like
[27:14] it's
[27:15] that's what I need I need help with.
[27:17] Yeah.
[27:17] So, um let's say I'm in New I'm in New
[27:20] York for a couple years.
[27:21] Okay.
[27:22] And in my early 20s and I just feel
[27:25] stuck. Like I feel like I look at the
[27:29] next 10 years and it felt like very much
[27:32] a continuation
[27:34] of my prior three.
[27:36] Mhm. Okay.
[27:37] And I wanted to break the mold and I'd
[27:41] read all about what a high growth part
[27:44] of the world Asia was.
[27:47] Oh god.
[27:48] And I was like, you know what?
[27:49] Than me.
[27:50] I want to go to Asia.
[27:51] Okay.
[27:51] Blank statement. didn't really know what
[27:54] it meant beyond that. Uh, and one of the
[27:57] beauties of working for an international
[28:00] bank is they have offices all over. And
[28:02] so I got connected to uh, a gentleman
[28:05] named Tom Pittz who I talk about a lot
[28:07] on the podcast, not as much as I should,
[28:10] mentor friend the best,
[28:12] and he hired me and brought me over to
[28:15] Hong Kong.
[28:16] And that started my three plus year
[28:20] journey in Hong Kong working for him.
[28:21] And it was one of the best times of my
[28:24] life. Traveled all throughout the
[28:26] region. We did business, you know, from
[28:29] uh India to Indonesia
[28:33] um to like we literally did business
[28:35] everywhere. So I got to travel uh all
[28:37] over. At that point I was on a quest to
[28:39] see the world to sorry to visit every
[28:41] country in the world. I think you know
[28:44] when I left Hong Kong I was at 56
[28:46] countries uh directionally something
[28:49] like that and I haven't added a country
[28:51] to the list since then but I was like
[28:54] piecing getting there
[28:57] and
[28:59] uh
[29:01] how I don't know how much detail I can
[29:02] get into so you can tell me if I if I
[29:06] should pivot this or if it gets boring
[29:08] but and this may be one of the things
[29:10] you didn't know. So, I'm in Hong Kong.
[29:14] Phenomenal experience,
[29:16] but I'd really
[29:18] come to the conclusion on two things.
[29:20] The first was I wanted to go back to the
[29:23] States. The States is where I wanted to
[29:25] settle down. The second is I wanted to
[29:28] start a business.
[29:29] Okay?
[29:30] And uh I told Tom this. He was
[29:33] incredibly supportive of it. And I left
[29:37] my job. Over that period of time, I got
[29:40] a call from a guy I don't talk about
[29:44] who's another mentor because he's a more
[29:46] uh yeah, whatever. And he was like, I
[29:50] didn't tell him I was leaving. And he's
[29:52] like, you left? And I was like, what?
[29:55] And he's like, dude, like come on. How
[29:57] did you not tell me you were leaving?
[29:59] And I was like, it was just it was the
[30:01] decision I had to make. And so, um, he's
[30:05] like, here's what I and I told him what
[30:07] I was doing. I'm like, I'm so sorry, I
[30:09] forgot a critical piece of information
[30:10] because I'm not as good of a storyteller
[30:12] as you. I left
[30:14] to go spend 12 months diligencing
[30:17] business. Okay. Very important. I left
[30:19] to spend 12 months diligencing business
[30:22] opportunities.
[30:22] Okay. Very Harrisonesque. Yes. So, you
[30:25] were going to see what market do you
[30:26] want to go into?
[30:27] Exactly. And uh meeting with different
[30:29] entrepreneurs. And so, I was in London
[30:32] at the time.
[30:33] Okay.
[30:34] And I got a call from uh from this
[30:38] mentor
[30:39] mentor and he was like I got a bounced
[30:42] email from you. What's going on?
[30:44] I said I left to diligence. I want to
[30:46] start something. He's like here's the
[30:48] deal. I'll hire you in San Francisco.
[30:50] because this guy, you know, essentially
[30:52] ran ran the bank. And I'll give you a
[30:55] title called head of venture capital
[30:56] coverage and you can sit in tech banking
[30:59] and meet companies and do a kick-ass job
[31:01] and you'll get inspired and when you um
[31:05] when you find something that you want to
[31:07] do, go and do it
[31:09] and and if you don't want to then just
[31:11] sit and work for us for um as long as
[31:14] you want. So incredibly thankful for
[31:16] this guy.
[31:17] So then you move to San Francisco.
[31:18] So I moved to San Francisco that he
[31:19] brought me to San Francisco. Wow.
[31:20] Yeah. On like the the sickest job. Um
[31:24] like my day was literally just meeting
[31:26] with VCs and entrepreneurs.
[31:28] So sick.
[31:28] Yeah. With like a business card that got
[31:30] me into every room in every room I ever
[31:32] wanted to be in.
[31:33] It's amazing.
[31:34] And so that it was the time in that role
[31:37] which shaped um
[31:41] which it was my time in that role which
[31:43] was the impetus behind starting the
[31:44] naked market.
[31:46] Okay. And so how did you land on the
[31:48] naked market being the right industry to
[31:49] go into?
[31:50] So there were three things I cared
[31:52] about. I wanted to be very passionate
[31:54] about the opportunity I was going after
[31:57] cuz like in a startup you're working
[31:59] endless amount of hours. I wanted to
[32:01] care about it.
[32:02] Okay.
[32:02] I wanted it to be great opportunity.
[32:05] Um but a great opportunity just wasn't
[32:08] enough because you know if I go into
[32:10] cyber security which at that time was
[32:13] like the big thing I'd hate my life. And
[32:15] then I wanted to do it with great
[32:16] people. So those were the three things I
[32:17] cared about. Food and beverage lined up.
[32:20] Uh
[32:21] people's eating preferences changing. Uh
[32:25] the old guard of brands aren't
[32:27] innovating. So huge opportunity for new
[32:29] brands creating innovative better for
[32:32] you products. Done. Naked market. So
[32:34] how old are you at this point?
[32:36] Uh
[32:38] 2019 is when we launched.
[32:43] 30.
[32:46] Don't do this to me. Sure. 30.
[32:48] 30. So, I think a I think a big takeaway
[32:50] is a big career switch at 30 is
[32:53] something that would scare a lot of
[32:54] people, but it's really cool that you
[32:55] did it. I think the most notable thing
[32:57] though is you had financial cushion
[33:00] because he gave you the job
[33:03] and you had saved a lot from from
[33:04] investment banking.
[33:05] Yeah. So, the financial cushion just
[33:07] came from seven plus years of saving.
[33:11] Okay. So you were able to do this?
[33:13] Yeah. So one decision I made um you know
[33:17] and it was probably my third or fourth
[33:20] year in in finance was I knew I didn't
[33:25] want to do finance for the rest of my
[33:27] life. And I looked around me and I
[33:29] looked at a lot of the people in finance
[33:31] and a lot of these guys are happy and
[33:33] they absolutely crush it and that's what
[33:35] they want to do and and that's the best
[33:38] path for them. But a lot of them only
[33:41] worked in finance because like they
[33:44] created this life that had such a high
[33:47] cost base that they couldn't leave the
[33:50] industry right
[33:51] and I was like all right I don't you
[33:53] know I guess if I really think back on
[33:55] it Hong Kong is when it started I was
[33:58] like and well I was saving before then
[33:59] but Hong Kong I got really serious about
[34:01] saving. So basically I I drastically
[34:06] reduced my cost base. So that way when I
[34:09] wanted to leave it wasn't like oh no um
[34:13] well the cost of me leaving is how am I
[34:17] going to pay my apartment? How am I
[34:18] going to like I I just wasn't living a
[34:21] lavish life even though I could have
[34:23] been living a lavish life.
[34:24] Yeah. It's very like they say to NBA
[34:26] players and NFL players too like you're
[34:28] going to make a lot of money right now
[34:30] but that's not going to last forever.
[34:31] you saved.
[34:32] And so when I quit, I had, you know,
[34:34] years of I had the ability to fund the
[34:36] business, number one. And then number
[34:38] two, uh, and fund that completely
[34:41] independently.
[34:42] That's awesome.
[34:43] And then number two is like I had, you
[34:46] know, the ability to go and work on it
[34:47] for several years without support. Now,
[34:50] did we go and raise money because that
[34:53] was opportunistically the best thing for
[34:55] the business? Yes. And that's a whole
[34:57] conversation for another time, but yeah.
[34:59] And one thing that I loved about you
[35:01] very early on was your
[35:05] it it felt
[35:09] you had all you didn't have a family
[35:11] yet. You were just taking care of
[35:13] yourself, right? But you had the
[35:15] foresight to say, I don't want to be in
[35:16] investment banking forever. I need to
[35:18] save money. And then by the age of 30,
[35:20] you were able to fund a business and you
[35:22] were able to quit your job and
[35:24] completely change industries, which I
[35:26] think is something that I really admired
[35:27] because I was like, "Okay, if he can
[35:29] take care of himself in that capacity,
[35:30] think about what he'll do for me in a
[35:32] family." And like I see that in you
[35:33] every day.
[35:34] Thank you.
[35:34] And it's No, it's it's something I
[35:36] really admire. Like nobody gave you that
[35:37] money. You woke up, you worked for it
[35:39] and and with that comes a lot of life
[35:41] skills and I saw that. So I thought that
[35:43] was really cool.
[35:43] No, I appreciate that. And I I think
[35:45] that that general value system, you
[35:48] know, ties back to to just
[35:51] what my parents instilled in me.
[35:53] Totally. And it and it shows. And so I I
[35:56] really respected that about you at that
[35:58] young age for you to be able to do that.
[35:59] So you said you wanted to do it with
[36:01] cool people.
[36:02] Alex Cost, we talk about him a lot. How
[36:05] does he become the Naked Market
[36:07] co-founder?
[36:08] We'd been talking about
[36:09] also a college roommate.
[36:10] College roommate. We've been talking
[36:12] with starting business forever and it
[36:15] was um it was just about finding the
[36:18] right thing that we both as I said loved
[36:22] that we thought was a great opportunity
[36:24] and the naked market really really
[36:27] aligned. And so when we you know let's
[36:31] say endless hours and hours and hours of
[36:32] calls brainstorming different ideas.
[36:34] So you went to him and you said hey
[36:36] let's start something. We don't know
[36:37] what it is but it's going to be you and
[36:38] I and we're going to do it together. We
[36:40] had a business together in college,
[36:42] right?
[36:43] We left college and that was a good
[36:45] business. We left college, went on our
[36:48] own paths. From the day we left, there
[36:51] was two-way dialogue about starting
[36:53] something again.
[36:54] Okay.
[36:54] The question was just what? And like we
[36:58] went incredibly deep on uh on a real
[37:01] estate business. It was like about
[37:03] fractional homeownership. We came very
[37:07] very very close. Ultimately didn't pull
[37:09] the trigger. I think when you look at
[37:10] why didn't we pull the trigger passion
[37:13] about it like we just got
[37:15] bored talking about it
[37:16] when and there's a third partner as well
[37:18] Tim.
[37:18] Yep.
[37:19] Which we can't forget about.
[37:20] Um and Tim was also Tim became part of
[37:24] these conversations.
[37:26] Um he was part of the real estate
[37:28] conversation. So he was in the in the
[37:29] convo loop for years. Okay. As well. Uh
[37:34] so when the general idea for the naked
[37:37] co market comes up which is create
[37:40] brands
[37:41] launch them if the data is good scale
[37:43] them if the data is bad shut them down
[37:45] create a holding company of different
[37:46] brands
[37:48] we meet in DC and we do like a week of
[37:51] diligence.
[37:52] Okay.
[37:52] And the three of us got an Airbnb
[37:56] um and just went deep on um went deep on
[38:00] the opportunity. walked away from it
[38:03] feeling exponentially better than even
[38:07] as great as we felt about it. Um as as
[38:10] we booked the trip and um all of us
[38:14] wired our collective money
[38:16] very shortly after
[38:18] and and
[38:18] so we all funded the business
[38:19] and started
[38:20] and started.
[38:21] Okay. And then
[38:22] quit our jobs and started
[38:23] quit your jobs and started. Okay. And so
[38:25] then, you know, kind of where I from my
[38:27] view like I think a lot of people don't
[38:29] understand your day-to-day and you don't
[38:31] have like an HQ here in Austin.
[38:33] We're fully remote now. We used to have
[38:34] a mega HQ.
[38:35] So when we went to San Francisco,
[38:38] Harrison took me to their first office,
[38:41] which is this awesome, it looks like a
[38:43] red barn, but it was a red barn.
[38:45] It's right in the middle of it's right
[38:46] in the heart of San Francisco. And then
[38:48] there's just boom, this red barn. So
[38:50] like really sick first office. Then
[38:52] whenever Harrison and I met and we went
[38:54] out to LA for the first time, he took me
[38:56] to his office in Venice Beach on the
[38:59] water just like the si I was like, "What
[39:03] on earth?" Like you had the sickest
[39:05] setup out there and you all these young
[39:08] you still have all these young people
[39:09] that work for you, but the office was
[39:12] just like I was like, "Sign me up. I'll
[39:13] work. I'll come every day."
[39:14] It was so fun. Happy hours and it was
[39:17] like it was a really really good setup.
[39:20] People don't see pre-dad Harrison, you
[39:22] know, in this.
[39:24] Yeah. Basically, Snapchat had this like
[39:27] massive setup of offices on Venice
[39:30] Beach. And during COVID, they downsized
[39:32] a bunch of those offices. And so, we
[39:34] took one of the old Snapchat offices.
[39:38] You had like a popcorn machine.
[39:40] Yeah. It was like the carnival machines,
[39:42] three floors.
[39:44] It was awesome. Full wind, full glass,
[39:45] and then literally right on the beach, a
[39:47] rooftop. It was awesome. So, All that to
[39:50] say like you come from a you created a
[39:53] very very very fun
[39:55] and in terms of what the company is.
[39:56] Should we clarify that?
[39:57] Yeah, let's clarify that.
[39:58] So, some of the brands we own, we own a
[40:01] brand called Flock Chicken Snacks,
[40:03] which we talk about a lot.
[40:04] That's the chicken skins, the chicken
[40:06] sticks. Uh
[40:08] turkey jerky.
[40:09] We're
[40:09] at this point turkey jerky will be out
[40:12] very excitingly announced that we have
[40:14] launched a uh with we partnered with
[40:16] Target. We launched a turkey bacon
[40:18] jerky.
[40:19] It's awesome.
[40:20] Uh so that's available nationwide at
[40:22] Target. And
[40:23] that's your high protein snack, ladies.
[40:24] Yeah. If you love turkey, if you love
[40:26] turkey bacon, this is the snack for you.
[40:28] And we have some uh some some more
[40:31] really exciting innovation coming out.
[40:33] We have Rob's backstage popcorn, which
[40:35] is a brand that we started with the
[40:36] Jonas Brothers based off a recipe that
[40:38] they've been uh eating for a decade plus
[40:41] backstage. And then we bought a brand
[40:44] called House,
[40:46] which is relaunching through an exciting
[40:50] joint venture that hopefully will be in
[40:54] market either later this year or early
[40:56] next.
[40:57] Oh, I've been hearing you work on it,
[40:59] but I didn't know we were we actually
[41:01] had a time we were launching. And Flock
[41:03] Flock is doing a lot. Uh Flock has some
[41:05] really fun things happening. Yeah, Flock
[41:07] is is um Flock is is really a phenomenal
[41:12] brand and big opportunity, big
[41:14] innovation.
[41:15] Protein,
[41:16] protein, protein, protein.
[41:17] Everyone wants protein. It's all the
[41:18] buzz. Okay. So then you are living, you
[41:23] move from San Francisco down to LA,
[41:26] Venice.
[41:27] Yep.
[41:27] Okay. When Harrison is living in Venice
[41:30] and I am living in New York is when we
[41:32] meet. I think it is worth noting if
[41:34] you're okay with it that you had a
[41:37] seven-year relationship that ended.
[41:39] Yeah. Yeah. So, you and I, I think,
[41:42] funny enough, we separated from our
[41:45] partners at around the same time.
[41:47] So, we were really following a similar
[41:50] trajectory. And while I wasn't married,
[41:52] it was a 7-year plus minus very, very,
[41:55] very serious relationship where we lived
[41:58] together, we moved from San Francisco to
[42:00] LA together.
[42:02] um and very much thought that
[42:06] um we would spend our lives together.
[42:10] Yeah. So, all right. Then Harrison and I
[42:13] are doing our own things, you know,
[42:15] going on a couple dates, doing a moving
[42:17] and shaking a little bit, and then we
[42:19] get set up in a group text
[42:22] by a girl named Anna.
[42:23] By a girl named Anna. I love that she
[42:26] puts it in a group text. So, she's like,
[42:28] "Harrison, meet Alex." Did we find the
[42:30] group text one day? We still have it.
[42:32] I'm sure.
[42:33] So, she's like, "All right, you two meet
[42:34] each other and I'll let you guys take it
[42:36] from here." So, I pull up your
[42:38] Instagram. And I'm like, "All right, let
[42:40] me just investigate here." And I
[42:42] remember like, "You you you go to you
[42:44] went to F1.
[42:47] You're wearing like shorts on the
[42:48] track." I remember this photo
[42:50] where I saw Oh, and then I see then I
[42:53] know what I I know that I saw. So, that
[42:55] photo
[42:55] I was not a content creator. Like I
[42:57] would upload like a guy
[42:58] two to three Instagrams a year.
[43:00] Yeah. I I just What else do I have to go
[43:02] off of?
[43:02] Yeah.
[43:03] So, I I'm I'm looking at your Instagram.
[43:04] That's how I'm getting photos of you.
[43:05] Yeah.
[43:06] Then I remember seeing a lot of the
[43:08] business stuff. You had posted like some
[43:11] Inc. articles or Forbes articles or
[43:13] something like that. And I was like,
[43:14] "Okay, he's interesting and he's cute.
[43:16] I think I thought he was tall." And so
[43:19] you side text me and you set a date.
[43:22] You're like, "I'm coming to New York on
[43:24] this day. I'm like committed to the
[43:26] date. Okay. It's a Saturday." I don't go
[43:28] on the date.
[43:30] um woke up just I think I had I got cold
[43:32] feet. Let's call it that. So I text you
[43:35] and I I couldn't believe I texted you.
[43:38] Um actually I couldn't even send the
[43:40] text message. AMS who was my dar the
[43:43] best person ever. She was my intern in
[43:45] New York City. Um I was like you got to
[43:48] press send on this. So she sends it
[43:50] because I couldn't believe I was going
[43:51] to bail via text message. She sends it.
[43:53] You responded back. You were very nice.
[43:55] you do not reschedule the date and I
[43:57] don't really hear from you again and I
[44:00] loved that. I thought okay night he
[44:02] handled it very cordially but he's also
[44:05] not rescheduling. So that you know as is
[44:08] as it always does piqu my interest a
[44:10] bit. So then I see he Harrison lives in
[44:13] Venice at this time at this point though
[44:14] but he's back and forth a lot.
[44:16] I was I was pretty close to 50/50 at
[44:19] that point.
[44:19] Yeah. You're you're back and forth a
[44:20] lot. So two weeks later Yeah. your back
[44:24] and I knew the ball was in my court. So,
[44:27] I DM'd you
[44:30] also.
[44:32] I DM'd you
[44:34] then I then I post I'm going to I want
[44:36] to go to Paris.
[44:38] I DM'd you. I texted you.
[44:40] Here's what happened.
[44:41] I shadow tagged you in a photo.
[44:42] Yes.
[44:43] Yep. That's what I did.
[44:44] Okay. So, you had you were hosting like
[44:47] some event that night.
[44:48] Yeah.
[44:49] And I was getting a drink with Anna.
[44:50] Yes. And I was like, why doesn't he
[44:52] come?
[44:52] And I said to Anna, like absolutely not.
[44:56] Like she like I'm just not living in a
[44:59] world where she's going to bail on a
[45:01] date and then I'm going to show up to
[45:03] her thing. And I think I think I would
[45:05] have probably said to her like the ball
[45:07] is completely in her court. You know, I
[45:10] have things going you have things going
[45:11] on in your life. I have things going on
[45:12] in my life. Timing doesn't work. Timing
[45:15] is not going to work. So then you shadow
[45:18] tagged me, which was the first thing you
[45:21] did.
[45:22] What did you shadow tag him in?
[45:24] It It was a photo of me. Oh, do you know
[45:26] what it was? It was the Mean Girl live
[45:28] shows. That's what we had that weekend.
[45:30] And And so we were getting these like
[45:32] really pretty photos. So I put one up
[45:35] and I shadow tagged him. Find out like
[45:37] from you like 3 months later, you were
[45:39] like, "You accidentally tagged me in a
[45:41] photo." I'm like, "I didn't accidentally
[45:42] tag you in a photo. I thought it was a
[45:43] cute
[45:44] because as a guy it was like
[45:48] dumb thinking back on it.
[45:50] It was We'd never met so for her to
[45:53] shadow tag me was like it was like
[45:56] either some weird flirtation thing or
[45:58] or glitch.
[46:00] Yeah. Or a mistake. And I like as when
[46:03] single Harrison and I think my advice to
[46:06] single people is just don't overthink
[46:08] stuff. Don't over complicate stuff. And
[46:11] if
[46:11] it's meant to be it, it'll it'll work
[46:12] out. You'll get there.
[46:13] Yeah, 100%. And then you texted me
[46:18] and after you texted me
[46:21] um and I'd love to I mean finding that
[46:23] text would be a nightmare.
[46:24] I've tried to scroll up. It's we can't
[46:26] we found at least the the group text I
[46:29] remember on the podcast. Yeah, we don't.
[46:30] But that's cuz that group text isn't
[46:32] active.
[46:32] Yeah, that's an easier find. The the our
[46:34] first texting it's I used to be able to
[46:36] find it. We're too far gone now. But you
[46:37] sent a text or a DM and I was like, "All
[46:40] right, you've now done enough that I'll
[46:44] reciprocate back."
[46:45] Yeah.
[46:47] And Yes. You said
[46:49] I had to get out of jail and I did.
[46:51] Yeah. Yeah. And then you texted, "I'm
[46:56] deciding to go." But or you Instagram
[46:58] storied.
[46:59] Yep. London or Paris.
[47:00] London or Paris. And I said, "Paris and
[47:03] I'll follow on a sword." And then I
[47:05] said, "Okay, but you have to plan it."
[47:07] And I sent you an itinerary.
[47:10] Yep.
[47:12] And then,
[47:13] and my favorite part about this is,
[47:14] "What's the museum you told me to go
[47:15] to?"
[47:15] That was the best thing you've ever
[47:17] done. I told her to go to the Pompadoo.
[47:20] So, she tells me to go to the Pompadoo.
[47:22] And I go to Paris and Britney Schmidt
[47:25] ends up meeting me in Paris. And so, but
[47:28] before she gets there, I have like five
[47:30] hours to walk around. I'm like, he told
[47:32] me to go to this museum. not so big on
[47:34] museums, but like okay, you know, for
[47:36] the for the plot, will I walk by the
[47:39] museum? So, I took a photo of it and I
[47:41] sent it to you and I was like,
[47:42] phenomenal museum. Three months later,
[47:44] Harrison's like, and then you went to
[47:45] the Pompadoo. I'm like, oh, I didn't go
[47:46] inside.
[47:47] So good.
[47:48] I walked outside the Pompadoo and sent
[47:49] you a photo just to keep the combo still
[47:51] going. Yeah.
[47:52] I poor Britney. I'm like, we got to go
[47:53] to happy hour at this place. She was
[47:54] like, why? I'm like, we just do.
[47:56] So, um,
[47:59] following Harrison's itinerary. So you
[48:01] were then very good and it's funny. I
[48:04] was flying to Hawaii on a family trip.
[48:07] It
[48:07] was your mom's birthday.
[48:08] Yeah. So I had a bunch of time to kill
[48:11] like and and so like you caught me at
[48:13] the perfect time where I could actually
[48:14] sit there and like plan a great trip.
[48:17] So we still have not met at this point.
[48:19] Yeah. But and you were so good about
[48:21] texting.
[48:22] Yeah.
[48:23] That
[48:24] that what
[48:25] I I felt it was time to reschedule the
[48:27] date.
[48:28] Oh yeah. That Okay. Okay. So, then I get
[48:29] back to New York and you get back to LA
[48:31] and he calls me. Phone call. He phone
[48:33] calls me and I'm like, "Oh, boy." So, I
[48:35] answer.
[48:36] Oh, you texted me.
[48:39] Anyways, we end up talking on the phone
[48:41] and you said, "Hey, I'm going to be in
[48:43] New York this weekend. It's last minute,
[48:45] but if you're free Saturday night, we
[48:47] can do a date."
[48:48] No, I'm going to get to the FaceTime.
[48:50] I text you
[48:54] saying I'm in New York this weekend.
[48:56] Yeah. Apparently Harrison Saturday night
[48:59] spot freed up.
[49:01] Okay.
[49:02] So I was like, you know what?
[49:04] And you pick up the phone and call.
[49:05] I pick up the phone call. I'm like,
[49:06] okay, this is or enough with this. You
[49:08] know, yes, I can go on Saturday. And I
[49:10] was like, and I won't bail. Like I will
[49:12] be there on Saturday for the date. And
[49:15] then I I say let's FaceTime or you say
[49:18] let's FaceTime. Probably me. No way. It
[49:20] was you. Had to have been me. It was
[49:22] you.
[49:22] Yeah. So I'm like, "Want to FaceTime?"
[49:24] And he's like,
[49:25] "Sure." So I FaceTime him. This is on
[49:29] Thursday night. We facetimed for three
[49:30] hours.
[49:32] Yeah. I think the whole collective call
[49:34] was four hours. But it's funny as time
[49:36] and I wanted to hit this at the top. I
[49:40] feel like we're going to kind of retell
[49:41] the story every one or two years. And
[49:44] I'm very interested to see like when you
[49:47] look back on on memories, how your view
[49:52] of them changes over time. So, I'm very
[49:54] curious like if you compare us
[49:56] describing the situation today Yeah.
[49:58] versus a year ago versus what it will be
[50:00] in 5 years, like how how will it sit in
[50:03] our memories,
[50:04] right? Will it be the same or not? It's
[50:05] it's good to it's actually really good
[50:06] to keep retelling it.
[50:07] Yeah. It's fun.
[50:08] Everyone I know is talking about GLP
[50:10] ones, and I totally get why people are
[50:12] curious, but then you read the fine
[50:14] print, the needles, the side effects,
[50:16] the may cause nausea and vomiting and
[50:18] existential dread disclaimers, and a lot
[50:21] of people are like, there has to be a
[50:22] better way. And there is you guys meet
[50:24] Veracity. Veracity's metabolism Ignite

[51:39] hours. This is Thursday night. Okay, we
[51:40] still have not met, but we've been
[51:42] texting. We've been texting and DMing.
[51:44] Okay, so Thursday night we we FaceTime
[51:46] for literally 4 hours. Friday, Harrison,
[51:51] actually I I just texted Harrison. I was
[51:53] like, "Hey, I have an event tonight. You
[51:54] want to come?" And he's flying to from
[51:56] LA to New York. Um, and I just thought
[51:59] that maybe we could hang out the day
[52:01] before the date. And Harrison was like,
[52:02] "No." So, also, you sent me a song, some
[52:06] country song. I still have it. I I'm not
[52:08] going to be able to find it. I think
[52:09] it's Dustin Lynch.
[52:11] I think that Okay. Anyways, you sent me
[52:14] So, anyways, you fly from LA to New York
[52:17] on Friday, but you actually don't tell
[52:19] me that you actually flew in on Saturday
[52:21] morning. Um, I thought he came in on
[52:23] Friday, but he came in on Saturday
[52:24] morning cuz plans changed. So, Saturday
[52:27] night is our date. I remember I was so
[52:30] excited. I was a little nervous. I still
[52:31] remember exactly what I wore. Remember
[52:32] AMS was over while I was getting ready.
[52:34] And
[52:37] yeah, we go on the date and it was
[52:41] the most fun, best date ever. It was
[52:46] three parts. The first part, well, I
[52:49] loved that you first asked me, "Do you
[52:50] want me to pick you up? I want to meet
[52:51] you there." I said, "Pick me up on the
[52:52] way." So, he picks me up in his Uber. He
[52:55] gets out. He doesn't even mean to open
[52:57] the door for me, but he does because you
[52:59] were standing outside the Uber anyways
[53:01] because you had ran down there. So also
[53:03] typical you now knowing you.
[53:04] I was getting drinks at Fukett's.
[53:06] Yeah. So he he was getting drinks near
[53:08] me. He called the Uber to the spot. He
[53:10] was probably running late. Jogged down
[53:12] to the Uber and by the time I get there,
[53:14] he's also outside the Uber. So he opens
[53:16] the door for me and I was like, "What a
[53:18] gentleman."
[53:19] I would have opened the door for you,
[53:20] just so we're very clear.
[53:22] Yeah. But still, I was like, "Wow,
[53:23] great." I mean, amazing. Um, you meet
[53:25] AMS and then we get in the car. We go to
[53:29] Overstory. Yep.
[53:30] Which is like it's rooftop downtown.
[53:32] Really cool. We had tater tots. Now our
[53:34] daughter's name is Tate. And we chat.
[53:36] We're just We can't shut us up. We're
[53:38] talking talking talking. We go outside.
[53:39] We look at the skyline. It was awesome.
[53:41] Then Harrison's like, "Okay, we got to
[53:42] go. We've got next things on the
[53:44] docket." I'm like, "Fun." The Uber's
[53:46] outside waiting. We get in the car.
[53:47] Logistically, A++, which I was loving.
[53:50] We go to the the balloon museum. very
[53:54] risky because in Austin the balloon
[53:55] museum sucks. In New York, the balloon
[53:58] museum is unbelievable, but he knew it
[54:02] was unbelievable because you had a
[54:03] friend go.
[54:04] Yeah. Joe Jonas was like there the week
[54:06] beforehand
[54:06] and he posted a photo.
[54:07] And he posted a photo and I was like,
[54:08] "Is this good?" And he said, "Yes."
[54:10] Yeah. Harrison was like, "This looks
[54:11] sick."
[54:11] So I was like, "All right, done.
[54:13] Do I take her?" Joe says, "Yes."
[54:16] And so we go and on a Saturday night
[54:20] it's it's double as cool because there's
[54:21] no kids there.
[54:22] Yeah. that we booked the last slot.
[54:24] Truly the last slot that you could go
[54:26] in.
[54:26] We had so much fun inside this museum.
[54:28] It's mindblowing in New York. I cannot
[54:30] express to you how different it is in
[54:32] Austin. We can't even call them the same
[54:34] thing. So anyways, we do that and then
[54:35] we get outside the museum and Harrison's
[54:37] like, "All right, we've got one more
[54:38] stop left. We're going to go eat a real
[54:39] dinner now. Do you want breakfast for
[54:42] dinner or do you want a good burger?"
[54:43] Because those are my two favorite
[54:44] things. And typically I would want
[54:46] breakfast for dinner, but it was a
[54:47] shaval and I had never been and the vibe
[54:50] sounded fun. So I was like, "Let's go
[54:51] get the burger." So we go, we get a
[54:54] burger and then we were having so much
[54:55] fun. We went on like a a Tribeca West
[54:58] Village bar crawl afterwards and just
[55:00] kept hanging out. We had the best time
[55:03] and it was the date that never ended.
[55:07] The next day we went, we got up, we
[55:10] walked to get coffee,
[55:12] we walked to your hotel, we walked the
[55:18] what's it called? Highline. No, but
[55:20] what's below? West Side Highway.
[55:22] High lane.
[55:22] Oh, yeah. Yeah.
[55:23] What? Yeah. Adjacent. But yeah, sorry.
[55:25] We walked to the west side and then we
[55:27] went to Lur Fishb Bar.
[55:29] We went to some pizza place that you
[55:31] hated
[55:32] and we just like we never stopped
[55:34] hanging. Long story short, we never
[55:36] stopped hanging out the first day that
[55:39] we met.
[55:40] Since that day,
[55:43] I don't think we've been apart for more
[55:45] than three days. For more than three
[55:47] nights.
[55:47] Yeah.
[55:49] Yeah. It was very much uh
[55:52] we met and our relationship started.
[55:55] So then the question is all right fast
[55:57] forward like obviously we had a blast
[55:58] like we would go to Miami, we would go
[56:00] to LA like we traveled all around. We
[56:01] had so much fun. Uh Vegas like we Okay,
[56:04] so we had just the best time. But the
[56:07] question is obviously going to be when
[56:08] did you decide like you wanted to have
[56:10] kids together?
[56:12] That happened.
[56:14] Is the timeline of this clear?
[56:17] I guess you didn't say when it was.
[56:19] November 4th. Did we always celebrate
[56:21] it?
[56:21] Yeah. So, I think that that part of what
[56:23] we may have left out is like we were on
[56:25] such an accelerated timeline. Like
[56:27] we were out of our our relationships for
[56:30] a respective 6 months plus minus. Like
[56:32] it's not like we got out of our
[56:33] relationships and like two or three
[56:35] years went by. So, we both got into this
[56:38] quite quite quickly.
[56:40] Which and I think for people on the
[56:42] outside it was very quickly. Yeah.
[56:43] And they're like, "Wait, what?"
[56:44] Yeah. And I just felt like that like not
[56:46] that I'm that that's some
[56:49] it's just it's different.
[56:50] Yeah, I think it's important context
[56:52] number one. And then so yeah, so to put
[56:53] the timeline so it's very clear on
[56:57] everything moving forward. So yeah,
[56:58] November 4th first date
[56:59] and we celebrate that a lot like we
[57:01] celebrate every year. You guys probably
[57:02] noticed that.
[57:03] That's our anniversary.
[57:04] Yeah, we call that our anniversary. So
[57:05] November 4th we meet. Um Okay. So then
[57:09] we go to Miami December 16th, right?
[57:14] You're missing a week the trip
[57:16] beforehand.
[57:16] Vegas.
[57:17] Yeah.
[57:18] Yeah. In Vegas, we were like going to go
[57:19] to the chapel and get married. We didn't
[57:22] because our families weren't there. But
[57:23] like that's how at Okay. Looking back on
[57:26] it, like I think about if Tate comes to
[57:28] me one day and she's like, I'm going to
[57:30] marry this boy that just met. I'd be
[57:31] like, what? Okay. Like you got to just
[57:33] let him do it. But I think that we had
[57:37] our credentials. Like we had we were
[57:39] older. We had so much older I mean I was
[57:41] 30. We had so much context of life.
[57:44] We lived a lot of life.
[57:45] Yeah, we had little lived a lot of life.
[57:46] So I on the outside in I think people
[57:49] were like, "What on earth is she doing?"
[57:50] But I always knew in my gut I was like,
[57:52] "I know what I'm doing."
[57:54] Um, so yeah, we were going to get
[57:55] married in Vegas. But we didn't. And
[57:58] then we were like, "We want to have a
[57:59] family together and we don't know how
[58:00] long it's going to take me to get
[58:02] pregnant, but we want to do like this is
[58:04] the person I want to do it with." And so
[58:06] we started trying and I got pregnant
[58:07] very quickly. So I was pregnant in
[58:09] January.
[58:09] Started trying a month in.
[58:10] Yeah. started talking a month then and
[58:13] then
[58:14] and I think some added context and I'm
[58:16] not sure we've talked about this before
[58:17] but like I think that we thought okay
[58:19] let's get married at some point in the
[58:22] next year you know it takes call it 12
[58:25] months on average plus minus to have a
[58:29] kid start trying now maybe we'll do a
[58:33] fun wedding in the summer um or towards
[58:37] the end of the year and then hopefully
[58:40] the pregnancy all all comes together.
[58:42] And then I think what happened was
[58:44] pregnancy hit me in the face. Like I
[58:49] felt
[58:51] So you get pregnant in January, but we
[58:53] don't learn about it until like kind of
[58:55] February.
[58:56] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And like when I tell
[58:58] you I was bedridden, like I could hardly
[59:02] get up. And that that's hard on a new
[59:06] relationship, right? Because think about
[59:09] it. We've been You've known me for three
[59:11] months. We were
[59:12] We had like three. So if you look at it,
[59:14] November, December, January, we had like
[59:16] three months of dating.
[59:17] Yeah.
[59:17] Yeah. Which was like really really fun,
[59:19] high energy. Like we love doing stuff.
[59:22] Go, go, go, go, go. And then like one
[59:23] day I just can't stop throwing up and I
[59:25] get really depressed when I'm pregnant.
[59:28] Talk about I don't actually think we've
[59:30] we've recounted this part. That was
[59:33] really humbling for me and it was scary
[59:36] for me. But the way that I I knew like I
[59:40] just kept loving you more and more and
[59:42] more was you just took care of me right
[59:44] out of the gates. Like you were just
[59:46] like, "Yeah, I signed up for this with
[59:47] you. I signed up early, you know, but
[59:50] I'm going to take care of you." And you
[59:51] just did. Like I remember being in
[59:53] Nashville. We went to Nashville for you.
[59:55] I think you had
[59:56] Yeah, I had something in Nashville.
[59:58] We had something in Nashville. And I
[59:59] just remember being so sick in
[01:00:00] Nashville. And I met with I met with
[01:00:02] Lindsay, one of my friends from high
[01:00:03] school. And I was just like, I am so
[01:00:05] lucky because he's taking such good care
[01:00:07] of me and I'm so sick. And we only dated
[01:00:09] for 3 months, but I know I'm going to
[01:00:10] spend the rest of my life with him. And
[01:00:12] I love Lindsay because she was like,
[01:00:13] that sounds great.
[01:00:15] And like
[01:00:18] as a flashback to that time, like it was
[01:00:21] just so clear like how much you were
[01:00:27] struggling. And I just felt so bad, but
[01:00:31] I was always so optimistic that it would
[01:00:37] like that it would pass.
[01:00:39] Yeah.
[01:00:40] And
[01:00:41] um and obviously it it did.
[01:00:45] So the other thing But the other thing
[01:00:46] that happened was we So then we were
[01:00:49] like, "All right, we're going to we're
[01:00:50] going to live in New York. We're going
[01:00:51] to pick New York as where we live." And
[01:00:53] Harrison moved to New York. Then we're
[01:00:54] like, "We're going to move apartments."
[01:00:56] We found this apartment we loved. So, we
[01:00:58] were going to have the baby there.
[01:01:00] We're fully committed to raising Tate in
[01:01:02] Manhattan. Manhattan Tate.
[01:01:04] Yep. Yep. Tater in the Concrete Jungle.
[01:01:06] We find this apartment we love in um
[01:01:08] Soho. We apply for it. Like, it's the
[01:01:12] one apartment we love and we had toured
[01:01:13] so many love this apartment. We apply
[01:01:16] for it and we don't get it. They didn't
[01:01:19] want a content creator living in the
[01:01:20] building. They actually called us back
[01:01:22] and they would take us, but at this
[01:01:23] point, we were already moving to Austin.
[01:01:24] Well, yeah. I think some added colors.
[01:01:26] Like we probably spent two months
[01:01:27] looking
[01:01:29] and we found nothing.
[01:01:31] Nothing. Like this was one thing we
[01:01:33] found. We both fell in love with it
[01:01:35] and yeah, they they shut us down. We
[01:01:38] were rejected. We like offered to pay
[01:01:40] the full 12 months. Like there was
[01:01:42] nothing we could do to um to let them
[01:01:47] pay money to live in this apartment. It
[01:01:49] was nuts.
[01:01:50] Yeah. And then so we're like, you know
[01:01:52] what? I don't remember. I don't know how
[01:01:54] this conversation started, but we
[01:01:55] decided, you know what? Maybe New York
[01:01:57] is a is an exp, you know, New York's
[01:01:59] expensive, the schools are expensive,
[01:02:02] and there's not a ton of young families
[01:02:04] there. So, we were like, let's start
[01:02:07] looking somewhere else. So, we go to
[01:02:09] Miami, we go to Nashville, we come to
[01:02:11] Austin, and we go to Orange County. And
[01:02:13] we stay in the mall for like two weeks.
[01:02:15] We were in a car, we get an Airbnb, and
[01:02:17] we're like, "Let's check the vibe of the
[01:02:18] city." We end up, we fall in love with
[01:02:22] Austin. We're like, we are going to move
[01:02:24] to Austin. This is like a blur for me
[01:02:26] actually. We start coming back to
[01:02:28] Austin,
[01:02:30] find our house in Austin.
[01:02:31] I'm just going to add some give some
[01:02:32] added detail.
[01:02:34] So, we were in Austin for a weekend
[01:02:38] trip. Uh, and I think that it was with
[01:02:42] Alex Wilderson. That's actually like why
[01:02:44] we're here because you're doing some
[01:02:45] work with her at the time.
[01:02:46] Yes. Yes. and we flew in and you were
[01:02:49] doing something and I remember I was on
[01:02:50] a call with Alex Cost and on that call I
[01:02:53] was like I don't get this city. I was
[01:02:56] like, "People love Austin. I don't get
[01:02:58] it." And you got out of your meeting
[01:03:02] either with them or someone else and you
[01:03:04] call me and you're like, "I love it
[01:03:06] here." Like, I think Austin should be on
[01:03:08] our list. And I was like, "Okay,
[01:03:11] interesting." Thinking to myself, I just
[01:03:14] was saying like, "I don't understand the
[01:03:16] city." But I very much was like, "If
[01:03:18] she's seeing something and all these
[01:03:19] other people are seeing something in it,
[01:03:20] like let me try and reframe things." And
[01:03:22] so we booked an Airbnb to come back for,
[01:03:26] you know, a two-eek period to really
[01:03:27] check it out. And we got that Airbnb in
[01:03:29] Bolden Creek.
[01:03:30] Yep. And then we really started to love
[01:03:35] it and we had mutual friends here. So we
[01:03:37] would like hang out with them and just
[01:03:39] like get their pulse on the city. And
[01:03:41] Austin just became all like there's
[01:03:44] podcasters here, there's content
[01:03:45] creators here, and there's a lot of CPG
[01:03:47] people here, a lot of entrepreneurs
[01:03:48] here. It's very young.
[01:03:49] Yeah.
[01:03:50] A lot of families. But I think where I'
[01:03:52] I'd kind of reframe one thing is like
[01:03:56] the one of the biggest risks to Austin
[01:03:57] is we actually had no like friends here.
[01:04:00] We had mutual friends but no friends.
[01:04:02] No best friends but we knew people
[01:04:04] loosely.
[01:04:05] Yeah. There was there was no one that
[01:04:07] like we'd hung out with more than two
[01:04:10] times.
[01:04:10] No.
[01:04:12] On a one-on-one basis. Totally.
[01:04:13] Versus New York like we had both had
[01:04:15] great friend setups. So, you know, and
[01:04:18] we'd heard all about what a great
[01:04:20] community Austin had and how nice people
[01:04:23] in Austin were. And we felt that on our
[01:04:25] visits, like you'd message someone, you
[01:04:27] say, "Let's get a coffee." And they
[01:04:28] would make time for you. Um, and there
[01:04:30] was a lot of people like, and those
[01:04:32] people you'd meet a coffee with, they
[01:04:34] would set you up and, you know, I
[01:04:36] remember I was here with um
[01:04:39] and I had spoken to him like once
[01:04:42] beforehand. I meet with him for a drink
[01:04:45] and then boom throws me on text with
[01:04:47] five people.
[01:04:48] Totally.
[01:04:48] And like that's I think something very
[01:04:51] unique to Austin because it wasn't just
[01:04:53] him. It was it was more and more and
[01:04:55] more and now
[01:04:56] we've come to have the community we have
[01:04:59] because people were open to it.
[01:05:01] It's because there's a lot of
[01:05:02] transplants that live here. There's a
[01:05:03] lot of copy and paste Harrison and I
[01:05:05] that live here. Yeah. You meet people,
[01:05:07] they're from Vancouver, they're from
[01:05:09] Florida, New York, um, LA, and they've
[01:05:13] moved here, and a lot of people's
[01:05:16] families don't live here. So then you
[01:05:18] have a more communal mindset. And so
[01:05:20] it's it that's what it creates. And
[01:05:22] there's a ton of entrepreneurs. And what
[01:05:23] I'd say is like I think
[01:05:26] the best decision
[01:05:28] that you and I have ever made in our
[01:05:32] relationship
[01:05:35] was coming to Austin.
[01:05:36] Totally agree.
[01:05:37] I think that, you know, we're so happy.
[01:05:41] I feel very blessed right now. Life has
[01:05:43] been going so great.
[01:05:46] And I think we got we nailed it with the
[01:05:49] city. And I think if we were in New York
[01:05:52] um
[01:05:54] or LA or Miami, I just don't think
[01:05:58] things would be in as good of a
[01:06:01] situation collectively as they are now.
[01:06:04] I totally agree. Our community here, we
[01:06:06] love coming home. We don't want to
[01:06:07] leave. Like, and it's it's nice to love
[01:06:09] where you live.
[01:06:09] There's convenience. There's really good
[01:06:12] balance. You don't feel like you're part
[01:06:14] of a rat race.
[01:06:15] Not at all. affordability is completely
[01:06:17] different than those other cities.
[01:06:19] Child, it's child friendly. It's school
[01:06:21] friendly. But, okay, enough about
[01:06:22] Austin. So,
[01:06:23] but here's the last thing I want to say
[01:06:25] in Austin because I wish that someone
[01:06:26] had said this to me.
[01:06:28] Okay,
[01:06:28] if you are unsure about where you want
[01:06:31] to raise your family,
[01:06:34] I would highly recommend
[01:06:36] getting an Airbnb in Austin for a week.
[01:06:38] Mhm.
[01:06:39] Plain and simple.
[01:06:40] Yeah, the people are awesome. So we land
[01:06:44] so we start to look for a house to live
[01:06:45] in and I think our house is a big part
[01:06:47] of our family. Talk to us about the Diet
[01:06:49] Coke Index.
[01:06:51] All right. So this is from a friend
[01:06:52] named Jay and he's like when you're
[01:06:55] looking at a house you got to you got to
[01:06:58] give it a a scale of 1 to 10 on the Diet
[01:07:00] Coke index. And the Diet Coke index is
[01:07:03] how convenient is it to go and walk and
[01:07:04] get a Diet Coke. And New York 10 out of
[01:07:08] 10 on the Diet Coke index. It takes you
[01:07:11] under 30 minutes to get to a Diet Coke
[01:07:13] essentially wherever you are living.
[01:07:16] Um,
[01:07:18] in Austin it is in the right
[01:07:20] neighborhoods. It is very good. I would
[01:07:22] say that our neighborhood is an eight
[01:07:26] and a half out of 10 on the Diet Coke X.
[01:07:28] Yeah, it's very good. I just stopped the
[01:07:31] other day on my way home from the office
[01:07:32] and got a Diet Coke.
[01:07:33] Probably nine as I reframe.
[01:07:35] Yeah. And
[01:07:36] I mean we're a block and a half away
[01:07:37] from Diet Coke.
[01:07:38] Yeah. New York is is multiple ways. New
[01:07:40] York would be the only one better cuz
[01:07:42] you'd literally just trip and fall into
[01:07:43] a Diet Coke. But here, our Diet Coke San
[01:07:46] Francisco would be great, but ours is
[01:07:48] phenomenal.
[01:07:48] But no, not always. San Francisco, you
[01:07:50] can have pockets where it obviously is
[01:07:52] neighborhood dependent. Um
[01:07:54] Yeah. And Austin's the same way, but our
[01:07:55] specific neighborhood and the reason we
[01:07:57] fell in love with our house was we were
[01:07:58] walkable to everything. Yeah.
[01:08:00] So, we rented our house for 9 months and
[01:08:02] then we ended up buying it. And the re
[01:08:03] and a large part of why we bought it was
[01:08:05] the community around it and the
[01:08:06] walkability. Now, let's talk about the
[01:08:08] nanny share because we do something now
[01:08:12] with Tate and we're going to do it with
[01:08:14] Rocky, which is our nanny share, which I
[01:08:16] think a lot of young parents are
[01:08:18] interested in.
[01:08:19] Yeah.
[01:08:19] Because I will tell you it's one of the
[01:08:22] better things we've done as parents.
[01:08:24] Yeah. And we, you know, haven't recalled
[01:08:27] how this came back, so I'm excited to
[01:08:28] like bring the story to life with you.
[01:08:30] But I think it all starts with meeting
[01:08:32] the neighbors.
[01:08:32] Yep.
[01:08:34] And
[01:08:35] so I move into the house in July,
[01:08:38] end of September.
[01:08:39] We've had Tate.
[01:08:40] We've had Tate where we come home from
[01:08:42] the hospital. Sorry.
[01:08:45] And I remember I am
[01:08:50] I'm with Tate walking back from Swedish
[01:08:53] Hill
[01:08:54] coffee shop.
[01:08:55] I think you're on the front porch. I
[01:08:56] feel like you've told this story before.
[01:08:58] No, no, no, no. Okay, so I was mixing up
[01:09:01] the first interaction and the second
[01:09:02] interaction. Okay, so you're right.
[01:09:06] Thank you. The first interaction, I'm
[01:09:09] glad I at least got the interactions
[01:09:10] right. The first interaction is I'm on
[01:09:12] the front porch and they're walking by
[01:09:15] because she's doing her curb walking
[01:09:18] trying to accelerate
[01:09:20] uh birth. Winnie's two weeks younger
[01:09:22] than Tate cuz we're so we had him two
[01:09:23] weeks.
[01:09:24] Yeah. And so I have Bubber. They walk by
[01:09:27] and we go and we have a great like three
[01:09:30] to five minute conversation.
[01:09:32] At that point, I have never known a
[01:09:35] neighbor of mine's name. Okay. So, the
[01:09:39] idea that these people are going to
[01:09:41] become like truly integral parts of our
[01:09:43] lives is so far off our radar. And um I
[01:09:49] don't think much of it beyond that
[01:09:51] initial conversation. I think I maybe
[01:09:53] mentioned to Alex,
[01:09:54] you came in and you're like, they're
[01:09:55] pretty cool. So, but no more than a
[01:09:58] 10sec conversation.
[01:09:59] Yeah. I was like, "Okay."
[01:10:00] Then in the next week or so, plus minus,
[01:10:04] I run into them on the way back from
[01:10:06] Swedish Hill. You're totally right,
[01:10:07] Jules, because I wouldn't have stopped
[01:10:09] on the sidewalk. And we have another
[01:10:11] good good conversation. Uh,
[01:10:16] and um,
[01:10:17] had they had Winnie at that point?
[01:10:18] They had not had Winnie at that point.
[01:10:20] And then we go back and I at that point
[01:10:23] I go I think that these people like
[01:10:24] actually could be our friends.
[01:10:28] The another weekish goes by and Alex and
[01:10:30] I have the conversation of like hey
[01:10:34] let's let's make a sign like let's go
[01:10:37] and make an effort to them. Let's do
[01:10:39] something proactive and intentional that
[01:10:41] signals we want to be friends with you.
[01:10:44] And so what we did is Alex made her a
[01:10:48] postpartum basket with like diapers and
[01:10:51] pads and all of her go-to things.
[01:10:54] And I think even with the with the
[01:10:56] the carrier
[01:10:57] the shelf
[01:10:59] and I got him a case uh Michelobalt
[01:11:03] which looking back nailed the gift.
[01:11:06] Nailed the gifts and I think it was
[01:11:09] mutually very wellreceived.
[01:11:12] And then our next convers and then what
[01:11:15] really broke like the the barrier of
[01:11:19] friendship. Do you remember this or do
[01:11:21] you want me to keep going?
[01:11:21] Keep going because I forgot about the
[01:11:23] postpartum box.
[01:11:24] Okay. Is
[01:11:26] uh Ohio um Texas is playing Georgia. So
[01:11:31] we can time stamp it if I'd actually
[01:11:32] love you to pull that up. Texas Georgia
[01:11:35] 2024 because that's the weekend. We have
[01:11:38] people over to pre-drink for the game.
[01:11:40] Okay. Okay. What do you call it?
[01:11:41] Pre-drink or pregame? We call it
[01:11:43] pre-drinking in Canada. Just a little
[01:11:45] note.
[01:11:46] Uh please listeners tell us if you call
[01:11:48] it pre-drinking or pregaming.
[01:11:49] And they will all say pregame.
[01:11:50] Pregaming.
[01:11:52] That's false. Uh and our babysitter
[01:11:57] bails.
[01:11:58] So we have these tickets
[01:12:00] for what? On October 19th, 2024.
[01:12:03] Yeah. So Winnie's three weeks one month.
[01:12:06] Yep. Our babysitter bails. We have
[01:12:09] tickets. It's we're committed to going
[01:12:11] with friends and we're like what do we
[01:12:13] do? And I remember neighbor M comes up
[01:12:15] to us
[01:12:16] the girl
[01:12:17] and is like I don't know you know you
[01:12:20] may think we're crazy but we're going
[01:12:24] back to our house to watch the game with
[01:12:26] some friends. We'd love to watch tape
[01:12:29] and we'd love you guys to go to the
[01:12:30] game.
[01:12:32] We were like okay no way. And then we
[01:12:36] were like, "Yeah, well, let's just like
[01:12:39] try this."
[01:12:41] Yeah.
[01:12:41] They were like, "We're on the same
[01:12:43] feeding program. We know exactly what to
[01:12:45] do. Like, come right on over after." And
[01:12:48] we were like, "Okay."
[01:12:50] And I think it's a it's a situation if
[01:12:52] you were to ask us, you know, 10 out of
[01:12:56] 10 times like a month into a kid, would
[01:12:58] you do that? The answer would always be
[01:13:00] no. But like there was just a day one
[01:13:02] connection with them and we trusted them
[01:13:04] and it was like that was that was the
[01:13:07] like that was I think the minute or the
[01:13:10] moment that we that we you know embraced
[01:13:15] building our community on our street.
[01:13:17] Well, this is what I was going to say.
[01:13:19] You would say I wouldn't do that. But
[01:13:21] actually, I think when you put
[01:13:22] yourselves in the the position in the
[01:13:24] shoes of a two people that have
[01:13:26] one-month-olds for the first time, you
[01:13:28] actually really want community. You
[01:13:30] almost want
[01:13:33] what we have, which is somebody to go
[01:13:36] eat dinner with. Like it's it can be a
[01:13:37] bit lonely. So, this was very communal
[01:13:40] feeling. And like I remember being like,
[01:13:42] I'm actually so glad she offered that
[01:13:44] cuz I would offer her that.
[01:13:46] Yeah. It's almost like, wow, somebody's
[01:13:48] going to do this with me because when
[01:13:49] you have a one, it's very scary and it's
[01:13:52] just you. And so to have somebody to do
[01:13:54] it with when your families don't live
[01:13:55] close, it was awesome.
[01:13:56] Yeah, it was amazing. And then shortly
[01:13:58] after we
[01:13:59] they invited us for dinner.
[01:14:00] They invited us for dinner. And
[01:14:02] so we put the babies on the table.
[01:14:03] We haven't looked back since.
[01:14:05] Yeah. And they they just they think
[01:14:07] exactly like we do. So anyways, we we do
[01:14:11] that for three months. And then one day,
[01:14:14] I think it was one of the guys like,
[01:14:15] "Should we just share a nanny?" And
[01:14:16] we're like, "Yeah, what a great idea.
[01:14:19] Can you do that? Can you share an
[01:14:21] Annie?" And we're like, "I'm sure you
[01:14:23] can."
[01:14:23] Funny. I don't remember this
[01:14:25] conversation.
[01:14:26] But somebody says, "Let's share an
[01:14:27] Annie." I think it was neighbor T.
[01:14:28] Sounds like something he would he would
[01:14:29] throw out first.
[01:14:30] I would have thought it would be me, but
[01:14:32] I'm I'm happy to say it was him.
[01:14:34] Somebody says, "Let's share an Annie."
[01:14:35] I really don't remember this.
[01:14:37] And then I remember being like, "Okay,
[01:14:38] let's actually share the nanny." Then we
[01:14:40] both go home and then we both start
[01:14:41] texting each other like, "Yeah, let's
[01:14:42] actually look to share the nanny." And
[01:14:44] the way we'll do it is we'll bounce back
[01:14:46] and forth between houses. We'll find the
[01:14:48] nanny and we'll just put them some days
[01:14:50] at our house, some days at your house,
[01:14:51] and we'll figure it out. So, a preschool
[01:14:55] was closing down the street from us and
[01:14:57] we get referred to Maria. And we had had
[01:14:59] calls with five, six, seven, eight, nine
[01:15:02] nannies. None were like feeling correct.
[01:15:05] We find Maria. We knew she had run a
[01:15:07] school out of a house. We knew she could
[01:15:09] be a nanny. We knew like she came very
[01:15:12] highly recommended. So we have her over
[01:15:14] and all of the neighbors say we meet
[01:15:15] her. We loved her and she started
[01:15:18] February 1st on 2025.
[01:15:21] The only caveat and just I almost want
[01:15:24] to clarify these things just so when we
[01:15:26] look back at it we So you and you and
[01:15:29] neighbor M did all the interviewing.
[01:15:31] Yeah. Me and the girl did the
[01:15:32] interviewing. I think we went with the
[01:15:33] mindset of like we don't want too many
[01:15:37] cooks in the kitchen and we're going to
[01:15:38] trust the two of you on this one.
[01:15:41] Um like I don't even know if I met her.
[01:15:45] I I think that out of formality neighbor
[01:15:47] Tina and I met her, but like you got you
[01:15:49] guys did all the meetings and all the
[01:15:50] screenings.
[01:15:51] Yeah.
[01:15:52] And you guys were like this is our
[01:15:54] person and you were so right. What a
[01:15:57] great call. You deserve all the credit
[01:16:00] for uh
[01:16:01] well she's our family now like she is
[01:16:04] she's just unbelievable.
[01:16:06] She bought the girls purses yesterday.
[01:16:08] Literally they bought a purse like they
[01:16:09] went they she's so cute to them. She's
[01:16:11] so she made them uh carrot be some kind
[01:16:16] of juice. She like juiced them juice and
[01:16:18] they were and then she bought them mini
[01:16:19] Stanley's cuz they're always trying to
[01:16:20] take her cup. She's so sweet to them. So
[01:16:23] So now they have Stanley's.
[01:16:25] Mini Stanley's.
[01:16:26] Have you guys seen the new Stanley's
[01:16:27] though?
[01:16:28] No. that look like crayons.
[01:16:30] Oh, no. They're going to love that.
[01:16:32] I'll
[01:16:32] Please send.
[01:16:33] We'll work on it.
[01:16:34] Yeah,
[01:16:34] they're so cute.
[01:16:36] I I must know. I got to I'll Google
[01:16:38] that. So, I I think a lot of people ask
[01:16:40] us like, "How did the nanny share come
[01:16:42] to be?" We didn't have some like rule
[01:16:44] book we were following. We created it as
[01:16:46] we went. So, we were like, "We'll hire
[01:16:47] her and we'll just start bouncing
[01:16:49] between houses."
[01:16:50] Yeah. I planned on taking while you
[01:16:53] found her, I plan on taking the lead on
[01:16:55] like what things would look like from a
[01:16:58] day-to-day and development, but I
[01:17:00] haven't had to do any of that because
[01:17:02] she's just gone and done it.
[01:17:04] Yeah. Harrison wanted to be very
[01:17:06] involved in like what are the girls
[01:17:07] learning?
[01:17:07] What are they doing?
[01:17:08] What's the curriculum like? And Maria
[01:17:11] was like, "Hold my beer."
[01:17:12] Yeah. She's like, "I'm taking them to
[01:17:14] the thinkery today so they can, you
[01:17:16] know, do this like
[01:17:18] exhibit on water." Yeah, she's very
[01:17:21] developmentally
[01:17:23] savvy. Attune. Yes, savvy. So, we're in
[01:17:26] we're in better hands there. Like, we
[01:17:28] thought we were going to like push it
[01:17:29] along every 3 months and like have these
[01:17:31] meet. No, Maria's got it. And
[01:17:34] I think her superpower has been her work
[01:17:36] on them sharing.
[01:17:36] I totally agree. I totally agree. And
[01:17:38] these girls, like they just think
[01:17:39] they're sisters. Like yesterday, Tate
[01:17:40] saw goggles and she's like, I got to get
[01:17:42] some for Waw Wa. It's like, you sure do.
[01:17:43] You need to take Wawa a pair. It's not
[01:17:45] fair if you have one and she doesn't. Um
[01:17:48] that that is a fully true story that
[01:17:51] happened in the middle of swimming.
[01:17:53] Yeah. Tate went over found goggles.
[01:17:54] She's like for me and then she's like
[01:17:55] for Waw Wa. I'm like Wawa's over there.
[01:17:57] So she takes them
[01:17:59] shuffled all the way to Wawwa
[01:18:00] and gave her the
[01:18:01] and was like trying to get the
[01:18:02] attention. It was 10 out of 10.
[01:18:04] So that's So now we still to this day we
[01:18:06] do the nanny share. Um and Winnie has a
[01:18:09] little brother who has Maria's mom who
[01:18:13] watches him and Rocky is now starting to
[01:18:15] join. So, we'll have Nanny Share 2.0.
[01:18:18] We, you know,
[01:18:22] want we want to add more kids to Tate
[01:18:24] and Winnie is, you know, we're it's
[01:18:25] we're we're very fluid with it. Um, we
[01:18:28] think about like they're in swim, they
[01:18:29] did dance, we we join things and the
[01:18:32] girls like they just they live a very
[01:18:34] cute, happy, boopping around life.
[01:18:36] Yep.
[01:18:37] And so that's that's where we're at.
[01:18:39] That's I think like that is where that
[01:18:42] comes that brings us to present day
[01:18:43] life. Do a lot of people ask us how many
[01:18:45] kids we want more kids, but right now
[01:18:47] we're just like very much so getting
[01:18:50] accustomed to two.
[01:18:51] And I know you don't like talking about
[01:18:55] hypotheticals too much, but I think a a
[01:18:59] a light segment on the future.
[01:19:02] Okay.
[01:19:03] Do you think we will stay in Austin for
[01:19:06] a long time or do you think at some
[01:19:07] point in the near future we will be
[01:19:09] looking for a new place to move to?
[01:19:10] I think we will live in Austin forever.
[01:19:12] I think our kids will go through high
[01:19:14] school here. We look at high schools and
[01:19:17] I think once they graduate, I hope we
[01:19:19] bop to New York a lot, but I think
[01:19:21] Austin will always be our home base.
[01:19:23] I agree. But I I I I do think that we
[01:19:26] will move to New York and spend a
[01:19:30] similar amount of time in Manhattan once
[01:19:33] they are all in high school.
[01:19:34] Yeah, I would love to do that, but for
[01:19:37] the next 17 years, well, no, it'll be
[01:19:40] more. It'll be more. The next 20 25
[01:19:41] years. Yeah. Austin.
[01:19:42] We're Austin.
[01:19:43] Um, it's far it it's it's home to us.
[01:19:47] Our h we love our house, our pool. We're
[01:19:49] doing our pool right now. Like, this is
[01:19:50] just our community. We It It's also
[01:19:54] familiar to both of us in a sense of the
[01:19:57] people, the way that people are. It's
[01:19:58] more familiar to me probably being from
[01:20:00] Oklahoma. feels.
[01:20:02] The weirdest thing that I will say about
[01:20:04] Austin is it truly feels like if
[01:20:08] Vancouver and Oklahoma City had a kid,
[01:20:11] it would produce Austin
[01:20:12] cuz it's very outdoory.
[01:20:14] It reminds me of both cities.
[01:20:16] It's weird
[01:20:17] in such a weird way. Um
[01:20:20] yeah, I I like
[01:20:23] Which is the best part though.
[01:20:24] Us is so us. And it's just we just love
[01:20:28] it. Like I just love it here. and Jules.
[01:20:29] It's Jules as well.
[01:20:30] Exactly. Exactly.
[01:20:31] The conductor.
[01:20:33] And so we're just like this. Yeah. So
[01:20:35] yeah, we'll be here forever. Um how many
[01:20:37] kids do we want? Three or four. We're
[01:20:38] going to assess after three. Uh what
[01:20:40] else?
[01:20:40] My updated prediction is three that is
[01:20:43] within like this like a the Rocky Tate
[01:20:48] timeline,
[01:20:50] give or take. Yeah.
[01:20:51] And then a like a multi-year gap for the
[01:20:54] fourth.
[01:20:54] Yeah. A big gap for the fourth.
[01:20:57] That's my prediction. And then like the
[01:20:59] three of them are like the true big
[01:21:02] sibling for the fourth one.
[01:21:05] Interesting.
[01:21:06] Yeah. Kind of. Yeah. Kind of like
[01:21:07] Louise. There's a big age gap there.
[01:21:09] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We'll see. So, it's
[01:21:12] just we're we're going to literally
[01:21:13] assess after three on the way home from
[01:21:15] the hospital. I think you'll ask me the
[01:21:16] same question you did with Rocky, which
[01:21:17] is like, "How you feeling?" And I'll
[01:21:18] say, "We're not done." Or, "You know
[01:21:20] what? My heart is complete." So, I'm
[01:21:22] excited to know the answer to that. Um,
[01:21:24] but I I don't even want to think about
[01:21:25] it right now. Someone asked the funniest
[01:21:26] thing in the comments yesterday, which
[01:21:28] was, "Did Alex drive home from the
[01:21:30] hospital?" They're like, "Harrison is
[01:21:33] such a passenger princess."
[01:21:35] Thank you.
[01:21:36] How did that person know that?
[01:21:38] The internet knows that. What?
[01:21:40] How?
[01:21:40] Wait, that you're a passenger princess?
[01:21:42] Yeah,
[01:21:42] cuz we talk about it.
[01:21:44] It's just like you're He's the most I
[01:21:47] drove to and from Dallas. Like he's such
[01:21:48] a passenger princess.
[01:21:50] I'm the I'm just a far better driver.
[01:21:52] But I said
[01:21:53] Harrison drove home from the hospital.
[01:21:55] He did.
[01:21:55] All I hear when I try is you just you
[01:21:58] just it's chirpy chirpa chirpy
[01:22:00] and
[01:22:00] because I'm a far superior driver
[01:22:02] and so it's like I I just don't want to
[01:22:04] hear it
[01:22:06] cuz I'm better at it. There are certain
[01:22:08] things that you're better at.
[01:22:09] I'm I'd love to drive but I want to
[01:22:12] drive with either conversation or in
[01:22:15] silence, not hearing about every single
[01:22:17] thing I'm doing wrong.
[01:22:18] It's the It's the video that guy made of
[01:22:20] like I don't know how I made it this far
[01:22:22] in life driving without my wife. How did
[01:22:24] I do it? It's so crazy.
[01:22:27] 30 however or you know 20 plus years
[01:22:30] without a doring and now my life is
[01:22:33] avoiding doorings.
[01:22:35] Like I spend my life
[01:22:39] that's never happened.
[01:22:40] You didn't know you had the doorings?
[01:22:42] The the most true thing is like somehow
[01:22:45] I've never crashed into the back of a
[01:22:47] car and now my wife's like stop stop.
[01:22:49] Like,
[01:22:50] okay. One thing I'm realizing we didn't
[01:22:51] cover is like you guys have two kids.
[01:22:54] You guys got married.
[01:22:55] Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, now
[01:22:57] bring us to today. Um,
[01:23:00] so we have Tate September 17th.
[01:23:02] Yep. 2024.
[01:23:04] Bubber has arrived.
[01:23:06] Um,
[01:23:07] okay. So, we have Tate. We buy our
[01:23:10] house. Um, shortly after that because
[01:23:12] we're like Austin is our place. We do
[01:23:14] the song and dance with Tate for 11
[01:23:16] months. Then we decide, all right, you
[01:23:18] know what? we can try for number two. I
[01:23:20] get pregnant. Um, we have Rocky Bears
[01:23:25] and before we had Rocky, we decided,
[01:23:28] okay, we're going to we we we want to do
[01:23:30] a wedding at some point, but you know,
[01:23:32] when you're in the mix of two kids and
[01:23:34] work and we just we don't know, it's
[01:23:36] probably going to be next year. Don't
[01:23:37] know TBD. But we decided we would just
[01:23:39] all that all that mattered was we wanted
[01:23:40] to all have the same last name. So,
[01:23:43] because it we very much so are already
[01:23:45] operating as a family. Everything we do
[01:23:47] is intertwined. And so we went to the
[01:23:49] courthouse and got married.
[01:23:50] Yeah. Right before Rocky was born. And
[01:23:53] Yep.
[01:23:53] What an amazing day it was.
[01:23:55] And then Rocky came. And now we're a
[01:23:57] family of three.
[01:23:59] That That's our That brings us to here
[01:24:00] now.
[01:24:01] Family of four.
[01:24:02] Family of four. Oh my gosh. Thank you.
[01:24:03] Family of four.
[01:24:05] And yeah, now we're moving and shaking.
[01:24:10] And I think that's it. Like I think
[01:24:11] that's I I don't think there's anything
[01:24:12] else we can really
[01:24:13] No, I I I think that was that was
[01:24:15] everything that um I'm sure there'll be
[01:24:17] stuff that we forgot, but that it'll be
[01:24:19] great to address in the Q&A.
[01:24:20] Yeah. And so we'll do the Q&A on Friday
[01:24:22] and um let's wrap her up.
[01:24:24] Happy birthday, Alex. Thanks.
[01:24:26] Happy birthday. Thanks, guys.
[01:24:27] You want to hear her birthday plans?
[01:24:29] Sure.
[01:24:29] Okay. So, we're going to uh we have we
[01:24:32] have uh we have a bunch of friends in
[01:24:35] Aspen. So, we're doing 5:00 at Casatua.
[01:24:38] Okay.
[01:24:38] Outdoor.
[01:24:39] Can't wait.
[01:24:39] Yeah. That's gonna be drinks and light
[01:24:41] bites.
[01:24:41] Love it.
[01:24:42] And then 7 PM at uh St. Ambrose.
[01:24:46] I'm so excited. Thank you for planning
[01:24:47] it.
[01:24:48] Yeah, of course. I'm very excited, too.
[01:24:49] All right, let's get to it. We love you
[01:24:51] guys. Thank you for listening.
