[00:00] What is up everybody?
Quoi de neuf tout le monde ?

[00:03] Welcome to the solo mole master class.

[00:05] We got our uh weathered mole here with the Dolivine livery.

[00:08] We got our geo on board, a couple of store all crates.

[00:11] All right, so my goal today is to give you the confidence to be able to run this ship.

[00:14] We're going to show you how to set it up pregaming with our storage crates.

[00:17] Uh that way you're set up to be able to handle hand minables, rock minables, which would be your your Had Knight Dolivine, uh Baradom, Fenmoline kind of stuff on the ground, as well as all the ship stuff, asteroid, planet, moonside, whatever the case.

[00:29] All right. So, starting with the very basics here, we're going to look at the actual mole build that I've selected, all of its components, laser loadouts, gadgets, or well, modules in this case, and discuss what might be the best option for you.

[00:41] First off, guys, you're not going to get anywhere without the Dolivine livery.

[00:45] It's a mustave. It's a mustave.
C'est un incontournable. C'est un incontournable.

[00:47] But on a serious note, looking at the actual build I have, this might be a little weird for you guys to see.

[00:52] It's not your normal mole build where people just go maxed out gradea industrial.

[00:56] That's not what I want. That's not what I want.
Ce n'est pas ce que je veux. Ce n'est pas ce que je veux.

[00:58] I want to be as hard to detect as

[01:00] possible.
 possible.

[01:02] And with this build in nav mode, being able to use your full thrusters to move fast when you're mining, you can maintain a sub 20k signature.

[01:08] I mean, around 16 to 17k EM signature, which means you're under 20 km detection range even in nav mode.

[01:14] And then switching into SEM, I can get this all the way down to 56 km detection range.

[01:21] So even in the mole, you are vastly harder to detect than your average industrial ship.

[01:25] And with the changes to stealth and cross-section, your big size doesn't matter as much unless people are intentionally pinging their radars to try to find larger ships that are trying to hide.

[01:37] Now, cross-sectional ping is definitely something to keep in the back of your mind when you're trying to be stealthy around POIs and such as you're flying around, you know, in Pyro or around contested areas and and Stanton.

[01:47] You still want to be aware that you are very large and if somebody is smart enough to be pinging the area hunting for ships or just looking around, that will detect you.

[01:54] but it takes that active step rather than you just passively showing up on radars as a lockable icon because of your cross-section.

[02:00] So, with this
 Donc, avec ce

[02:01] setup, I am a lot harder to find.

[02:03] When you couple that on top of knowing how to avoid making yourself an easy target by going away from POIs, points of interest, you just become that much safer in your mining, especially if you're looking for these high-quality materials that you want to be able to craft with.

[02:15] or if you're worrying about going into, you know, jumping gates or getting into stations, you can get a lot closer to the jump point or to your hanger or wherever you want to go before some narrative wells can detect you.

[02:25] And it is incredibly valuable to think this way.

[02:27] So, that said, my reason for choosing these components should be very obvious as a low-risk safety measure that doesn't negatively impact your ship's ability to perform.

[02:37] The only thing I've noticed is on some planets where it's really hot and you're in VTOL, if you don't give adequate pips to your cooler, you will notice your engine starting to overheat even at minimal pip allocation to engines.

[02:48] It's really easy to get around.
 C'est très facile à résoudre.

[02:50] I just put one extra pip into my cooler.

[02:52] As far as where to find these, I highly recommend using.

[02:54] You know, we have our shopping cart here just to show you these real quick.

[02:56] You're looking at finding the Winter Star XL over at Krill 4.

[02:59] The bolt stealth quantum drive which allows you to travel at nav speeds with a lower signature you can find over at Hurl 2.

[03:03] The uh civilian a shield at cousin crows at Archel1 at Newbage as well.

[03:09] You can get the ion surge pro from duppers depot at Grimhex as well as New Babage and Hurl 5.

[03:20] I think it is worth mentioning the Bolt is pretty slow as far as quantum drives go, but to me the trade-off of having that very low signature so I can be in nav mode on planets and moons and all these areas, especially out in the asteroid clusters that I like to mine in Pyro where you do have NPC ships that like to sometimes come after you.

[03:38] Having that lower signature to be able to still move quickly and avoid that is really valuable.

[03:43] And you can get your hands on the gradea size two stealth.

[03:47] I think it's the Spicule or Spicule.

[03:49] I haven't had I haven't found one yet.
Je n'en ai pas encore trouvé.

[03:51] I have some buddies that have them, but I'm trying to source it myself.

[03:54] Uh until then though, this is the grade B stealth bolt quantum drive and it still gets the job done.

[03:57] Weapons wise to me, not really that important.

[03:59] But if you do end up in a situation where you're up against some like dumb little Mustang NPC or like a

[04:05] Spirit or something out in Pyro, I recommend putting a cannon on.

[04:09] Uh the the the ballistics cannons have less signature, so they, you know, they won't raise your signature as much as the laser cannons will, but you could throw some M5s on here.

[04:17] Um, attritions are a good choice as well for dealing damage to ships at the size two level.

[04:22] It's really up to you at this point.

[04:25] I just throw on some tarantula GT870s.
Je mets juste quelques tarantula GT870.

[04:27] There are a couple of Mark 2 cannons that I never really plan to use, but if I need to, they're there.

[04:32] The much more important part you guys are probably curious about is the laser build.

[04:37] So, on my nose, and you can also, fun fact, if you didn't know this, when you click on a laser head, it should sort of highlight it like red.

[04:43] It's kind of hard to see when it flashes, but as you move, if you look at the look here on the helix in this crappy hover image as I mouse over it, see how it turns red there?

[04:55] So, this is a good way to tell like which of these are which head as you're swapping them out on your ship.

[04:58] I know it can be a little clunky to use.

[05:01] You can see when I highlight the hops head now, it turns red right here.

[05:05] this is my ballsy build where uh we've got the triple surge setup on our helix up front.

[05:12] Outside of using the triple surge to get to the really hard stuff that you find that you really don't want to leave behind, I would also run a double Ryer C3 and then a Torrent 3 as a good option.

[05:23] The Torrent 3 is my favorite module, man.
Le Torrent 3 est mon module préféré, mec.

[05:25] Honestly, across the board, the Torrent 3 is the goat in my opinion for anybody who spends a lot of time mining because of how fast it allows you to fracture rocks.

[05:36] Some of you have probably seen me use this module and you you've seen it firsthand.

[05:39] If you haven't, you need to go get a Torren 3 and go take it out and try it.

[05:42] But, uh, back to the build real fast.
Mais, euh, revenons rapidement à la construction.

[05:43] We get the helix up front with the triple surge or running double regger C3s in a surge or double regger C3s and a focus.

[05:50] You know, pick your poison there.
 Vous savez, choisissez votre poison.

[05:51] This is my balls to the wall setup with triple surge.

[05:53] Stampedes can't stack.
Les ruées ne peuvent pas s'accumuler.

[05:55] I'm pretty sure brands can't stack, but surges you can fire as many as you need altogether and they will compound the reduction in resistance and the increase in power.

[06:04] It's a wild experience.
 C'est une expérience folle.

[06:05] It's
 C'est

[06:06] Definitely an advanced maneuver, but it can make you go from being limited to 20k, 30k rocks up to cracking like a 60k mass rock and a golem with a double surge setup or in this case a mole with a triple surge setup.

[06:18] So, uh, it definitely comes with its own risk factors, but if you want to practice hard mode and get really good at doing this to be able to walk away with more high value loot that you would otherwise leave on the table because you can't crack it, yeah, give it a shot.

[06:32] It's fun.
 C'est amusant.

[06:32] Outside of the helix, we've got our workhorse of the ship, the laser that I use the most on starboard side.

[06:37] It's on this side, too, because as you're jumping back down the ladder, it's immediately there to your right.

[06:43] So, it's the one I go to the most often.

[06:45] So, I I use that.
 Donc, je l'utilise.

[06:45] And if you're wondering why not put that on the front, well, really quick aside, each of these heads have ranges, optimal ranges.

[06:52] And the helix range sucks.

[06:52] It's very short.
 Elle est très courte.

[06:55] You want your helix on the nose.
Vous voulez votre hélice sur le nez.

[06:57] And then your Hoffstead and your arbor or your Hoffstead and your Klein, whatever laser setup you like on port and starboard because they will all be in their sweet spots at the same time.

[07:07] versus having the Helix on left or right and you having to sort of caddyy corner the ship in weird ways because of the ranges being all jacked up.

[07:11] That said, I've got my favorite module on the Hoff.

[07:15] So the hops seed already boosts your window, the green zone when you're mining, which is nice.

[07:19] So I used to run focuses until I discovered the beauty of torrent 3es.

[07:22] I run double torrent 3es on it because they stack together and they each give nearly 50% speed boost to fracturing once you're in that green zone.

[07:30] The charge rate.
 Le taux de charge.

[07:32] You have the charge window, which is how big your green zone is.

[07:33] And then you have the charge rate, which is how fast you charge that green zone.

[07:36] And the torrent 3 is a beast.
Et le torrent 3 est une bête.

[07:38] Most rocks that I encounter in the mole, asteroid or otherwise, the hofy can usually handle.

[07:44] I will say on moons and planets they are a bit bigger and the helix gets a lot more runtime.

[07:48] Uh but especially out in space is the most used head that I have.

[07:53] And with the changes in 47 with mining it is a lot more common now that when you break a rock you have to fracture it again.

[07:59] Even all the way down to like 500 mass.
 Même jusqu'à 500 de masse.

[08:02] And at that point even a hoffstead is like a helix.

[08:05] It's way too powerful.
 C'est beaucoup trop puissant.

[08:08] So, for the first time in my mining career, I am actively and happily using the Arbor mining head as my port side head.

[08:15] And it also has a slightly weakened laser because I put a Focus 3 on it.

[08:20] The Focus 3 does also nerf your laser power just a little bit.

[08:23] I think about 1% with the Focus 3.
Je pense environ 1% avec le Focus 3.

[08:25] And then, of course, I threw a torrent 3 on there to speed up its fracture rate.

[08:28] And it's got a really good extraction rate too for pulling materials in.

[08:31] It's faster than the Hoffstead, which is nice.

[08:33] But when you get those, you know, 500 mass recite rocks that are super volatile, being able to use your arbor is a lifesaver.

[08:39] It is my cleanup laser for all the fractures that are way too small for the Hoffstead and definitely too small for the Helix.

[08:46] This is a balanced setup that I think will take you all to the next level.

[08:50] I always recommend people to try out different things.

[08:52] Some people just like different laser heads, but the Helix Hoststead arbor setup for me has been just my go-to from EVO through PTU and here in live.

[09:00] There's no way I would change this.

[09:02] I might modify my modules a little bit on the arbor.

[09:05] Like maybe throw another Torrent 3 if I notice that the window's never really small enough

[09:08] to be a concern because why use a Focus 3 if the window's never really small enough to make me think I need it.

[09:13] I'd rather just put another Torrent 3 on and speed up the fracture even further.

[09:17] The only laser that I I'm not really using torrent on anymore is the Helix just in case cuz on on moon and planets I'm seeing a lot bigger rocks.

[09:25] And out in the Keer belt in Nyx, the asteroids get really big.

[09:27] So having the surge capability is pretty awesome.

[09:29] You could even run a a C3 and double surge or a torrent 3 and double surge.

[09:33] There's so many options, man.
 Il y a tellement d'options, mec.

[09:35] And that's why when it comes to mining, there is no one method beats them all.

[09:37] It is a game of versatility and options.

[09:41] And it goes from your ship and your laser and modules here also to your gadgets that you bring along with you.

[09:46] And another quick note you'll notice, so torrent 3es and focus 3es, these are passive modules.

[09:51] As long as your laser is on hitting a rock, the bonuses from those passive modules, the focuses, the torrents and such, they are active.

[10:00] The surges, you actually have to punch a button to activate.

[10:02] And we're going to show you guys that here because if you don't know where this option is, it's going to prevent you from being able to

[10:08] Use this to your full extent.
Utilisez ceci à votre entière disposition.

[10:10] So, if you go over to your vehicles into the mining tab, you're going to see activate mining module slot one, two, and three.

[10:15] By default, it is left alt 1, left alt 2, and left alt 3.

[10:20] And again, on surges, you can hit all three of them.

[10:21] Careful.
 Attention.

[10:23] That gets crazy.
 Ça devient fou.

[10:24] The active modules are the only ones where you have to do this.

[10:25] These are your stampedes, your brands, I think your rhymes, um your uh surges, of course.

[10:31] Your passives, you don't have to worry about this.

[10:32] They're just on.
 Ils sont juste activés.

[10:34] It's literally, it's in the name, passive.

[10:35] They're just on when the laser hits.

[10:37] They're not on when the laser's off, just to be really clear.

[10:39] They're only on when your laser is actively hitting the rock.

[10:41] You notice that when the windows change and all, not too bad.

[10:44] But yeah, make sure you got these module buttons uh pinned to the right spot on your your sticks or you know using default keyboard and mouse, whatever.

[10:51] Now you know where they are.
Maintenant, vous savez où ils sont.

[10:52] Last thing on the moles components cuz I know it'll probably come up cuz now we actually have the choice to change out our radar.

[10:56] I would not use the gradea size 2 industrial radar because there's really no point right now.

[11:01] Radar does really two things with uh with the ships.

[11:04] One of them being specific to mining or at least in my case and that is how far you

[11:11] will get that sort of pip appearing assist when you're in combat.

[11:15] Not as important and how far you're or how close you have to be for you know an unknown area that you've pinged to show you that hey this is orite or this is a harvestable or this is glyosite or hadenite.

[11:26] And I will say that the I I had the industrial gradea radar for a little bit and the discovery of the objects was still right around 3 3 1/2k which was kind of normal.

[11:37] Um the military actually gives you discovery up to like about 5 km.

[11:42] If you really want to bias towards being able to see what you're pinging and scanning when you're mining on planets and moons and everything a little bit faster, you can use the military radar to get sort of a passive sooner look at what you're seeing.

[11:54] I of course being the stealth guy, I'm running Cassandra.

[11:58] That is the size two uh stealth gradea component that you can pick up at New Babage.

[12:02] You can pick up all of these at New Babage.
Vous pouvez trouver tout cela à New Babage.

[12:04] The radars are all I think just currently there.

[12:06] I don't think they're at other places yet.

[12:07] Correct me if I'm wrong down in the comments below.

[12:09] But I of course I am running the uh Cassandra

[12:12] stealth component for keeping my signature as low as possible.

[12:13] And I still get item discovery at about 4 1/2 km, which is awesome.

[12:19] Given that there's another way to discover what what things are much farther out that's sort of a secondary effect that isn't all that important.

[12:24] I'd rather just have a high-grade stealth radar that's going to drop my signature just a little bit more.

[12:29] To me, that's a lot more important.
Pour moi, c'est beaucoup plus important.

[12:31] Again, you can find all your radars at New Babage.
Encore une fois, vous pouvez trouver tous vos radars à New Babage.

[12:32] All right, getting back into the discussion about pregaming your mole and getting it set up.

[12:37] We're going to take a peek at what I have in our straw crates here to give you an idea of what it's like to come out prepared.

[12:41] Definitely check your local refineries for what gadgets and all are available.

[12:44] Some things like the surges and the ryer C3s you can only get at Levki.

[12:48] So I would encourage everybody to visit Levki to grab some stuff there.

[12:53] You can get the torrent 3es from Krill One, uh Checkmate, a few other places.

[12:57] They're pretty common.
 Ils sont assez courants.

[12:57] And focus 3es are damn near everywhere.
Et les focus 3es sont presque partout.

[13:00] You can get them at Lev Krill 1.
Vous pouvez les obtenir à Lev Krill 1.

[13:01] You can get them here at Checkmate.
Vous pouvez les obtenir ici à Checkmate.

[13:03] They're not hard to come by.
Ils ne sont pas difficiles à trouver.

[13:05] Whenever you're looking for that stuff, it's under the utility tab at the refineries.

[13:08] You can also find store all crates at refineries.

[13:10] Usually just the
 Généralement juste le

[13:12] ones and the twos.
 les uns et les deux.

[13:13] If you need the fours or larger, then you got to go to the cargo centers.

[13:16] So, what you'll notice here in my stroll crate, the second one that I use, I actually threw well, I have a I have a heavy set of armor here just in case I'm on a planet that's a bit hotter or colder and I need a little bit more protection versus the peacemeal set I'm wearing.

[13:27] Uh, but I also would typically use a second SCU box for storing all the hand minables or gems, which I'll demonstrate a cool way to do that here in a second.

[13:34] But in looking at our other crate, you're going to notice a lot of stuff here.

[13:35] a lot of gadgets, some extra bits for uh handheld multi-tools if anything goes weird like you break your geo which I will show you guys as well.

[13:43] Um some ammo drinks for sure because we don't have that, you know, little trick we had before.

[13:49] If you know, you know.
 Si vous savez, vous savez.

[13:50] If you don't, ask somebody in the comments.

[13:53] But we've also got some extra C3s, some focus 3es, we've got some torrent 3es, stampedes, just extra modules that we can change out in the field if we need to.

[14:03] for whatever reason we want to replace one of the modules on one of our laser heads or if you're in an explosive scenario where you overcharge a rock and it blows your modules off of your ship, you can

[14:13] just go back and repair and get them back.
revenez en arrière, réparez-les et récupérez-les.

[14:14] Uh or you can swap them in the field.

[14:16] It's it's up to you.
 C'est à vous de décider.

[14:17] It gives you again that versatility.
Cela vous donne encore cette polyvalence.

[14:19] Versatility is the thing with mining.

[14:21] Give yourself the option to do more while you're out and you'll find yourself running a much more efficient operation.

[14:25] As far as the gadgets go, I like to carry We have more Optimaxes than I would normally carry at a time.

[14:28] I like to carry about four of each of the important gadgets I want to carry at a time.

[14:32] So, I usually have sabers and optimaxes, which the sabers are an incredible resistance buster.

[14:39] They also give you a 50% boost to that green window.

[14:41] 50% reduction to resistance.
Réduction de 50% de la résistance.

[14:43] And yes, this even helps you in most cases where your resistance is showing minimal already, like zero.

[14:50] There's still, if you throw a saber on, it's going to weaken the rock even further than that.

[14:53] But if you've got a rock that has low resistance, but the instability is like 700, you probably don't want to put a saber on it.

[14:59] You're going to want to do something like a wave shift or a bormax where you're actually reducing laser instability by a pretty large margin, about 35% and then boosting the charger window size by 100%.

[15:11] It does reduce the rate at which you fracture the rock.

[15:13] You know, there's
 Vous savez, il y a

[15:13] always tradeoffs, but again, we go back to versatility.

[15:17] In fact, earlier I used the technique of a way shift on a massive Stilleron rock where I double surged the helix to actually break it, and it was a lot of fun.

[15:23] Check it out.
 Regardez ça.

[15:24] Okay, we got a wave shift gadget which does some reduction in instability.

[15:28] It's not as good as a bore max, but you know, it'll also buff our window for when we try to do a triple surge on this thing or however many we need.

[15:36] Want to hold down your inner thought F key, right click to place, and then now you should get the hologram.

[15:42] Now you want to make sure you put it below eye level otherwise you might put it on upside down.

[15:45] So about here.
 Donc, à peu près ici.

[15:48] There we go.
 Voilà.

[15:48] Then we can crouch down and mess with the wave functions.

[15:53] This one's really easy.
 Celui-ci est vraiment facile.

[15:53] Wow.
 Wow.

[15:53] 98%.
 98%.

[15:53] Let's go.
 Allons-y.

[15:56] All right, we got those surges.
Très bien, nous avons ces surtensions.

[15:56] This is going to get a little hairy.
Cela va devenir un peu délicat.

[15:58] We're going to try firing one.
Nous allons essayer d'en tirer une.

[16:03] Firing two.
 Tirer deux.

[16:05] There it is.
 La voilà.

[16:05] Double surging.
 Double surtension.

[16:07] Come on.
 Allez.

[16:07] Get up there.
 Monte là-haut.

[16:13] It's hard, man.
 C'est dur, mec.

[16:13] Oh.
 Oh.

[16:16] Ow.
 Aïe.

[16:18] All right.
 D'accord.

[16:18] Well, we got it.
 Eh bien, nous l'avons eu.

[16:20] That was a little rough.
 C'était un peu difficile.

[16:22] Now, in that case, the I think the wave shift got it done.

[16:23] It gave me some window back.

[16:24] It reduced some of that instability by about that 35% which is a big help.

[16:28] I would have preferred to have had a bormax for that honestly because it's like a 75% reduction in instability.

[16:33] Would have been amazing when using those surges, but I didn't have one on me.

[16:37] So, the main gadgets that I would get, Saber, Optimax, Bormax, and Wave Shift.

[16:43] There are I think one or two others like the Okunis or something um which you can check out as well.

[16:47] Well, I encourage everyone to look at different gadgets to see what they do cuz again, there's no one gadget that rules them all.

[16:51] Different scenarios require different things.
 Différents scénarios nécessitent différentes choses.

[16:55] And having like four of each is nice.

[16:57] Always good though to bring some some med pens.

[16:58] Make sure you got adequate healing stuff on you, some detox pens to bring that blood toxicity down.

[17:03] I'm always carrying some of that on me in the worst case that something happens like yesterday where my geo killed me.

[17:08] That Oops.
 Ça, oups.

[17:12] Hang on.
 Attendez.

[17:12] Retract weapons.
 Rétracter les armes.

[17:15] What the?
 Qu'est-ce que c'est ?

[17:15] So random, man.
 Tellement aléatoire, mec.

[17:15] That's the first time that's
C'est la première fois que ça

[17:16] happened.
 s'est produit.

[17:17] I know that some folks have had issues with getting like pushed through the planet uh when they're dealing with their mole.

[17:23] So, I would be careful when you're maybe landed to send your elevators down first and then maybe jump out, you know, try to limit the chance that you're going to get screwed like that.

[17:33] Now, all right, here is the thing that seems to surprise a lot of people.

[17:34] It is the ATLS.
 C'est l'ATLS.

[17:37] Now, in EVO, you could walk on and off the ship with it without really any issue.

[17:41] It was kind of nice.
 C'était plutôt sympa.

[17:43] You can see it's it's about at the height you would need.

[17:46] uh when leaving the ramp, but things changed when we went into PTU and into the the live build.

[17:50] But the workaround's pretty easy now.

[17:51] Fire at the front.
 Tirez à l'avant.

[17:53] I'll show you guys why you shouldn't fire at the rear.

[17:55] Fire at the front of your geo and you can easily pull it on and off the ship.

[17:59] Of course, as I try to show you this, it's going to get all weird on me.

[18:02] Sometimes you got to push it forward and around like this.

[18:05] Geo shenanigans is something that we're all kind of used to, but generally it's fine and they just kind of push it in.

[18:10] This would be the one time that it wants to really act a fool.

[18:12] So, it doesn't usually jump up in the ship like that, but even if it does, it'll fall back down.

[18:16] You can just kind of place it in a spot where you can

[18:18] get to your button here.
 Accédez à votre bouton ici.

[18:18] It does not come without risk.
Cela ne vient pas sans risque.

[18:19] Again, this thing killed me yesterday for no reason.

[18:23] But yeah, anytime you're dealing with it, you know, get a good grab on it and just either push it out this way and bring it around the ship or try to bring it out through the back.

[18:30] It tends to to work really well.
Cela a tendance à très bien fonctionner.

[18:31] And then you can do what you need to mining, whatever you find, and then get out of it first and then just put it back in the ship just like this.

[18:40] There we go.
 Voilà.

[18:40] That's a little better.
 C'est un peu mieux.

[18:42] Even if it drops down like that, don't panic.

[18:44] It's not going to fall through.
 Il ne va pas tomber.

[18:46] At least it hasn't for me yet.

[18:48] And if it does, at least claiming your geo is a pretty quick process.

[18:51] So, at the end of the day, you'll be all right.

[18:53] Now, I'm going to show you a couple other things here.

[18:54] Uh, when you're dealing with getting things out of the geopod, in my experience, it's best to grab this.

[18:59] Why? Because you don't want to risk tractoring the geo from behind.
Pourquoi ?

[19:04] We'll get to that.
 Nous y viendrons.

[19:04] Grab the pod or open it.
 Saisissez le pod ou ouvrez-le.

[19:06] Actually, that works, too.
 En fait, cela fonctionne aussi.

[19:08] If you have enough room to carry the stuff with you, you totally can do that.

[19:12] But if it's like full of gems and you're not able to put them on your person, then you would want to actually grab this if it'll let me.

[19:17] This thing's
 Cette chose est

[19:20] acting up, which go figure it would as I'm trying to make a video.

[19:24] Let's move the geo a little closer here.

[19:25] Sometimes it lets me carry it.
Parfois, il me laisse le porter.

[19:27] Right now, it doesn't want me to carry it.

[19:29] So, very carefully, very carefully.
 Alors, très prudemment, très prudemment.

[19:33] Nope.
 Non.

[19:33] It just happened.
 C'est juste arrivé.

[19:36] There it is, guys.
 Voilà, les gars.

[19:36] I I was going to show you that anyway.

[19:37] Uh, that's why you don't want to tractor the back of the geo.

[19:40] I was already planning to show you that little issue.

[19:42] And there it goes.
 Et voilà.

[19:42] It's all jacked up now.
 Tout est foutu maintenant.

[19:46] So, you don't want this to happen because you can't get it back on the geo.

[19:50] I have tried so many times to make that work.
J'ai essayé tellement de fois de faire fonctionner ça.

[19:52] This is how you break your geo, which I wanted to demonstrate, so we're fine there.

[19:56] Um, you're supposed to have the option to carry this, which I think I did have recorded so I could show you guys.

[20:02] But yeah, once you break this off the back of the geo, there is no way to reattach it.

[20:06] It just it's it's busted.
 C'est juste c'est c'est cassé.

[20:09] And I don't know that I can even get the damn box out of it now.

[20:11] Oh, there we go.
 Oh, voilà.

[20:13] Yep, I can save the pod at least.

[20:16] So, I can show you what I was going to show you, which is uh you would either place it down by hand or just place it on the

[20:21] grid next to your store crates. And then

[20:24] you can actually go in and select

[20:25] everything you would need. They all pop

[20:27] up here. So, like on this side, we could

[20:28] go to the geopod. And on this side, you

[20:30] could go to either of the 2SU store

[20:32] crates and then just hit move all and

[20:33] they pop into your 2su stoall crate just

[20:35] fine, which is really nice. I'm gonna

[20:37] put these on my person and send them

[20:39] into my inventory so I don't end up

[20:41] losing these cuz as you can see, these

[20:42] are all some pretty good highquality

[20:44] materials for crafting. Hadite, genely,

[20:46] and some doivine. I'll probably just

[20:48] claim the geo and keep this as a spare

[20:50] box in case the geo boxes bug at all.

[20:53] You don't I've never really had to carry

[20:55] an extra geopod. Uh, but having one just

[20:57] in case things get weird is probably

[21:00] smart. There we go. We got our geo back

[21:02] with its backpack and an extra pod.

[21:04] Pretty cool. If you're wondering why I

[21:06] don't bring extra Argo bags, uh, for

[21:09] one, because of their dimensions,

[21:11] they're really annoying to put in here.

[21:12] And two, with how little we get from

[21:15] each asteroid and rock now, the extra

[21:18] bags just don't feel necessary. It's

[21:19] rare that I fill up the mole these days

[21:21] before I head back to refine what I

[21:23] found and move on. So, yeah. Honestly,

[21:25] just not necessary. I'd rather have a

[21:27] geo and some store all crates down

[21:28] there. Some extra versatility. Um,

[21:30] definitely want to make sure you've got

[21:31] a good repair tool with you. Either an

[21:33] SRT rifle like this, which you can now

[21:36] get at cargo centers and refineries.

[21:38] Thank you, CI. Not just limited to

[21:39] Platinum Bay anymore. And of course,

[21:41] back here, you've got plenty of uh

[21:44] canisters that you can use to refill

[21:47] your repair rifle and all, which I need

[21:49] to make sure I go drop these off. But

[21:50] yeah, you got your large canister,

[21:51] small, all that. What you're hearing in

[21:53] the background right now is the Geo's

[21:54] thrusters. Don't worry about that. That

[21:56] is just a known issue where it's like

[21:58] not detecting a good solid ground and it

[22:00] will just fire like this. It's mostly

[22:02] just an annoying visual bug. I don't

[22:03] know if that's what actually killed me

[22:05] the other day if I get close to it.

[22:07] Okay, so yeah, it wasn't it wasn't the

[22:09] thrusters that that killed me. It was

[22:12] some other weird shenanigans. Huh.

[22:13] Warning, moving parts. Keep hands clear

[22:15] during operation. Oh boy. See, with that

[22:18] little tag there and just the the rework

[22:19] to the Argo mole, it it really does feel

[22:22] like Drake with OSHA standards. So, two

[22:25] other things that are really cool about

[22:26] the mole now is that we have

[22:28] engineering, which if you noticed, these

[22:30] doors are staying open. I'll show you

[22:32] how to do that. And we also have lamp,

[22:34] which is fantastic. It's not in the

[22:35] turrets when you're mining, but at least

[22:37] it's in the pilot seat, which is cool.

[22:38] Now, one of the things I do here, the

[22:40] only thing I really do here is I

[22:42] highlight the doors tag and then I go to

[22:44] the main doors that I want to keep open

[22:47] and lock them open. You just click on

[22:48] the door tab here. You can open and

[22:50] close the door, lock it open and close.

[22:52] You can do this with any of the doors.

[22:53] If this is too noisy, you can actually

[22:55] turn off the other connections so you

[22:57] just see doors and you can manipulate

[22:58] them however you want. Just keep in mind

[23:00] when you need to take a drink or

[23:01] something and life support needs to be

[23:03] turned on or if you like to keep it on

[23:04] that everything down in the cargo bay

[23:07] area where those laser heads are get

[23:10] regularly exposed to vacuum or whatever

[23:12] temperatures on whatever moon you're on.

[23:13] So, I'd like to keep the upper door by

[23:16] the ladder closed at least to keep the

[23:18] life support in here functioning just

[23:20] fine. That way we don't have those

[23:21] concerns. Uh the only thing that I I

[23:23] miss about the old mole is our third MFD

[23:26] that we had right here. The gold pass

[23:28] mole is amazing, but I I miss like look

[23:31] at that. We We have like a mount. We

[23:32] have all the room here for that third

[23:33] MFD. Can Can we get back the third MFD,

[23:36] guys, please? All right, we are set of

[23:38] course for a RAB site and asteroid

[23:39] cluster. The the RAB sites and RMBBS out

[23:42] in Pyro are fantastic places to go

[23:44] mining, as well as plenty of the planets

[23:46] and moons, some of them better than

[23:48] others. Monox, Bloom, and uh Adear out

[23:51] in Pyro are incredibly resourceful. uh

[23:54] when you're actually looking at your

[23:55] map, this is a reliable way to see what

[23:56] you'll not or what is on a planet. Now,

[23:59] our journal where it says where to mine,

[24:01] that's outdated. But here, if you see it

[24:03] says ship minables, heanite, iron, tin,

[24:05] stellaron, and then you got glacosite,

[24:07] apherrite, doine, hennite, this is

[24:09] reliable. This is going to be on the

[24:10] planet. And more importantly, if it is

[24:12] the main material listed here, it is

[24:14] going to be the bulk material in that

[24:16] cluster of rocks. Because now in mining,

[24:19] if you guys don't know, you have

[24:20] pairings that are always together.

[24:22] Azlerite, a greasium and titanium,

[24:24] hephesinite, silicon and quartz,

[24:26] stilleron and teranite, recite and

[24:27] larite, quantanium and barrel. Like they

[24:30] are always going to have these mixes.

[24:31] And for the most part, depending on

[24:33] which is the head material, the

[24:35] signatures that you scan for will be

[24:37] consistent as well. They actually matter

[24:39] because you can actually know what

[24:40] you're going towards. See, we spawned in

[24:42] here and we've got a ship that's 10 km

[24:46] out. We would actually be in detectable

[24:47] range. Looks like a game rules player

[24:49] ship cuz it's just kind of sitting there

[24:50] zero m/s which is fine. But if we were

[24:53] to drop down to our SCM, uh now we're

[24:55] out of detectable range even this close.

[24:57] Um I'll typically run full silent. You

[25:00] know, I'll just keep one engine pip uh

[25:01] minimal radar and then minimal cooler to

[25:03] maintain a good stealth presence cuz

[25:05] we're going to drop down again below a

[25:08] uh 3 km detection range as we move

[25:11] around and assess the situation. I don't

[25:12] see any hostile NPCs, which is good. You

[25:14] always want to keep your head on a

[25:15] swivel when you're mining, especially

[25:16] out in Pyro. We switch to our scanner

[25:18] mode though. Look at that. 3385. 3385

[25:21] guys remember it. That is recite. 3185

[25:24] is always still on. Signatures matter.

[25:27] Now what I've done, I'll show you. I

[25:30] pull out a notepad like this and I

[25:32] actually take note of the signatures and

[25:34] where at Terminus Ring, Fuego. Um, and

[25:37] I'll do like an R&B site if I'm there

[25:39] and I take note of the signatures of a a

[25:42] single, a double, a triple, quadruple.

[25:44] These are the cluster numbers. And these

[25:46] are constant. So when you start to see

[25:48] these signatures, you'll know, hey,

[25:50] that's a four set of Alorite, which also

[25:52] has a greasium, titanium, whatever. And

[25:54] they are slightly different depending on

[25:55] the head material. Titanium and aite are

[25:57] always together. But if titanium is the

[25:58] main source you're looking at, the main

[26:00] signature is a little bit higher than if

[26:02] it's aite, which is 38.40. So yeah, this

[26:04] gets really nerdy and into the weeds. I

[26:06] recommend everybody, you know, either

[26:08] record what they're doing or pull out a

[26:10] little Microsoft notepad like this and

[26:12] just start familiarizing yourself with

[26:14] signatures and all. uh just it'll make

[26:15] life a lot easier and more efficient

[26:17] when you're out. So, sometimes the

[26:18] signatures can be a little finicky.

[26:20] They'll tend to go away and come back.

[26:22] Okay, there we go. There's a 21425.

[26:25] There's the resite there. So, another

[26:27] trick that you can do is you can

[26:29] actually narrow your scan. See, we got

[26:31] all the way down to 11°. I have it bound

[26:33] to my stick. And now, if I scan, it'll

[26:36] more precisely find it. And then you can

[26:37] hold the trigger and actually scan that

[26:39] area to see for sure. So, there's the

[26:41] resite. Let's see. Do I have this one

[26:43] listed? We got a too narrow of a scan.

[26:45] So, I got the individual rocks. So, it's

[26:47] a 21425. Do I have that listed here? I

[26:50] don't. So, let's see what that is. Let's

[26:51] go ahead down to about a 22° scan to

[26:54] pick them out. And we're going to hold

[26:55] down our scan button. So, even from this

[26:57] far away, we're going to know what this

[26:59] is. Aluminum. So, now what I can do is

[27:01] actually make a note that at this site,

[27:03] aluminum is going to have the 21425

[27:05] signature, which is likely a cluster of

[27:08] five or six. The the lesser rare stuff

[27:09] will tend to be in larger clusters like

[27:11] that. Now, over time, you're going to

[27:12] build yourself a bit of a portfolio

[27:13] that's going to give you a really quick

[27:15] way to reference what you're looking at

[27:16] or what you might need for certain

[27:17] blueprints because you can be like,

[27:18] "Okay, I'm looking specifically for

[27:20] 23590 or its variant for whatever for

[27:22] orite. This is what I need. This is

[27:24] where I got to go." And then you can

[27:26] ignore anything you don't care about.

[27:27] All right, while we're on the way to the

[27:28] resite, let's take a peek at this real

[27:30] quick and show you guys where to find

[27:32] the scanning adjustments. If you go to

[27:33] vehicle scanning, here it is. Increase

[27:35] scanning angle, decrease scanning angle,

[27:37] mouse wheel up, mouse wheel down, and

[27:38] scanning mode is your standard way of

[27:40] doing this. I have it bound to my stick

[27:41] as well. So, you can see how narrow you

[27:43] can get all the way down to what 2

[27:44] degrees for real deep penetration. I I

[27:46] typically go between 45 and 22. You

[27:48] rarely have to go farther than that to

[27:50] get max range on scanning. And it

[27:52] doesn't matter if your radar is maxed

[27:53] out or not. I hope that radar gets more

[27:55] intricate uh use case like that to

[27:57] affect scanning more directly. That'll

[27:59] be really cool, but it's pretty

[28:00] negligible at the moment. Now, recite is

[28:03] just a really valuable material, so I

[28:04] would take it regardless of its quality.

[28:06] Uh but this is pretty good. So, this is

[28:08] a rather small rock. I think the

[28:10] Hoffstead would be able to handle this.

[28:12] Uh, so we're looking at 5,800 mass.

[28:14] That's pretty small. That's not too bad.

[28:16] It's going to be a pretty volatile

[28:17] material. We also got larite here. You

[28:19] can see all your qualities right over

[28:20] here. You can use the F key to, you

[28:21] know, hold down, zoom in, look at what

[28:23] you're looking at. Some of these, like

[28:25] where the words go over the numbers. You

[28:26] kind of have to zoom in and sort of

[28:28] squint and pray that you're seeing the

[28:29] right numbers. I definitely think they

[28:31] need to do some sort of contrast uh

[28:33] shadow behind back end or like black

[28:35] outline or something on that because it

[28:37] can be a bit of a pain to deal with,

[28:39] especially as small as it is. Uh

[28:40] depending on people's eyesight, too.

[28:41] I've got pretty decent eyesight and even

[28:43] me sometimes I'm just like, "Wait, is

[28:44] that a six or an eight?" It needs work,

[28:45] but you know, it's it's pretty usable.

[28:47] Now, we come in here again with this

[28:49] ship in space. You don't have to worry

[28:51] so much about the weird thing that's

[28:52] happening right now in planets where

[28:53] when you get out of your pilot seat,

[28:55] your ships kind of like raise up. That

[28:56] does affect the mole on moons and

[28:58] planets. not really so much out here in

[29:00] the vacuum. So, I like to get up to

[29:02] about 50, you know, 40 48 to 50 m away.

[29:05] And then I hit my speed limiter, which

[29:07] is a must-have function in the mole for

[29:11] staying in place. And sometimes you'll

[29:13] still get a little micro shift because

[29:14] the game didn't detect it. Your speed

[29:15] limiter actually went to zero. So, all

[29:17] you got to do is just hit it again. Just

[29:18] send it all the way down. I've got it on

[29:20] my tab. It should be on by default, too,

[29:22] for most of your guys. And I think it's

[29:24] left alt scroll wheel. Yeah, that'll

[29:26] also raise and lower it. But it's a

[29:27] great way to lock yourself in at that

[29:29] like 50 m range. And then you really

[29:31] just want to nose up to where the

[29:32] asteroid is just out of sight. That's

[29:34] all you need. At this point, we can hop

[29:35] out. I am going to make sure shields are

[29:37] on anytime I'm mining to absorb any

[29:38] impacts that might come our way because

[29:40] when you're mining in the mole, you

[29:42] can't just bail. If you overcharge a

[29:44] rock, you're going to take the hit in

[29:46] most cases. So, you want to be super

[29:47] careful. Good positioning, shields up,

[29:50] and just kind of be ready. We're going

[29:51] to take a look and see if we even need

[29:52] to do anything to this recite rock

[29:54] outside of uh you know, actually, we'll

[29:56] demonstrate gadget use. I know it's a

[29:57] small recite rock, but let's demonstrate

[29:59] some gadget use. Another important thing

[30:00] with gadgets, I haven't tested it in

[30:02] this build, but it is sort of a known

[30:03] thing in mining circles, don't keep a

[30:05] gadget equipped to your person. In the

[30:07] past, even in your ship, if you had a

[30:10] gadget equipped to you and you fractured

[30:11] a rock, especially a more volatile rock,

[30:13] it would end up killing you. It's really

[30:15] weird. So, a lot of us, we choose to

[30:16] keep our gadgets in our store crates

[30:18] until we need to use them. I think for

[30:20] this one, we'll just use an optimax. We

[30:21] don't really need to waste a saber or a

[30:23] wave shift, but we can use the optimax

[30:25] cuz there's a 60% chance that the broken

[30:27] clusters of rocks afterwards will be

[30:30] more grouped together in a good way,

[30:33] like more of the recite, less of the

[30:34] inert. That's one of the reasons the

[30:35] optimax is so cool. And it also gives

[30:37] you a nice resistance debuff to the

[30:39] asteroid. So, we'll go ahead and double

[30:41] click that, which will equip it to our

[30:42] backpack, which you can also see on your

[30:44] tools tab here. Again, I would not just

[30:47] walk around like this. I would only do

[30:49] this when you're equipping a gadget just

[30:51] to be safe. All right. Make sure, of

[30:52] course, helmet is on before you go EVA

[30:55] always. And this is kind of gadget hard

[30:57] mode as well. Doing this EVA. Now, for

[31:00] the most part, the ghost shows up, which

[31:02] you'll see here in just a second. I'm

[31:03] going to go ahead and cycle through. You

[31:05] know, there might be a more efficient

[31:06] way to do this, but cycle all the way to

[31:08] the gadget. There we go. In space, it

[31:09] doesn't really matter if you have it

[31:10] like above your head or below your head

[31:11] when you put it on because you can just

[31:12] spin around. Upside down is irrelevant.

[31:14] But what you're going to have to do

[31:15] anytime you're using a gadget is hold

[31:16] down F, right click, hold, and then go

[31:19] to place to get it to show its ghost,

[31:22] which now it finally does pretty

[31:23] consistently on asteroids. There might

[31:25] be a chance it doesn't. That gets to be

[31:26] a real pain cuz you sort of have to just

[31:28] finagle with it to get it to actually

[31:29] place. But then as you get close, you'll

[31:31] get the placement icon on the actual

[31:33] rock. Just like that. Once you see that,

[31:34] just stop yourself. Go ahead and

[31:36] leftclick to place the gadget. And see

[31:38] that it placed it upside down. But hey,

[31:39] we're in space, so we can just roll over

[31:42] to see this. Now, this is the part that

[31:43] can be a little annoying sometimes.

[31:45] Looks like we got an easy mode alignment

[31:46] here, which is great, but trying to do

[31:48] this while EVA can be a little finicky,

[31:50] uh, cuz you're holding F trying to, you

[31:52] know, mess with these sliders while your

[31:54] character's kind of bobbing around,

[31:55] which can be annoying. So, these are

[31:57] how, like, you have this background one

[31:59] below the sort of ghost image that you

[32:00] want to align to. This is already giving

[32:02] us a pretty simple wave function to

[32:04] align to, but all of these will affect

[32:06] where that goes. And in space, you often

[32:08] have to kind of click a lot to get that

[32:10] to move. But all of these will affect it

[32:12] in different ways and how it moves the

[32:14] overall system. And you need to get it

[32:15] above 90 for it to actually turn on. So,

[32:17] we're going to move this. There we go.

[32:19] We're getting real close. There's 92.

[32:22] Oo, 95. I saw 95. 96. Let's go. All

[32:24] right. Then you just hit activate. It's

[32:26] not on until you actually activate it

[32:28] and it's doing its thing. And there's a

[32:29] chance that you can recover it, too. So,

[32:30] you want to look for little blinking red

[32:32] or green light when you actually break

[32:34] the asteroid. Um, I've been pretty

[32:36] unlucky that most of the time my gadgets

[32:38] just end up getting destroyed or go off

[32:39] into the nothingness of space and I

[32:42] never get them back. That's why it's

[32:43] always good to carry some extras, four

[32:44] to six of each one that you like and

[32:46] then uh use them when you need to. This

[32:48] is for demonstration purposes. We

[32:50] definitely don't need to use this gadget

[32:51] for this rocket small enough that it

[32:53] wouldn't be an issue. But just to show

[32:54] you guys how to put the gadget on the

[32:56] asteroid for educational reasons. Then

[32:58] we're going to hop over to our Hoffstead

[32:59] with our Torrent 3es. Watch how fast we

[33:01] fracture this thing because of these

[33:03] Torrent 3es. And honestly, it's these

[33:04] resite rocks that make me need to use

[33:05] the arbitad quite a bit cuz I bet we're

[33:07] going to get really small parts that we

[33:09] still have to fracture again. All right,

[33:10] make sure your laser is always reset to

[33:12] zero. Don't just click on. So, we're

[33:14] going to get a little window back. Not

[33:15] much. Instability is pretty high. We're

[33:18] just going to slowly crank up. I'm being

[33:20] really patient at this upper point here

[33:22] because of that instability. It'll spike

[33:24] randomly. And remember, we can't just

[33:25] get away. We don't want to take a hit

[33:26] from a reside rock. Now, watch that

[33:28] charge window fill up. Look how fast

[33:30] that is. That's why, too, because you

[33:32] need that time. Bam. Good break. Now, I

[33:34] bet some of these are going to be tiny.

[33:36] Yeah. 868. If I touch this with the

[33:38] Hoffsteed now. Oh, wow. It's actually

[33:40] not blitzing up immediately. Oh, there

[33:42] it is. Yep. You see, it won't take much.

[33:43] It's super instable. See, the stuff over

[33:45] a,000 isn't too much. Or sorry, the

[33:48] Hoffstead's not too much for it. You

[33:50] just got to be gentle. Versatility and

[33:52] patience go a long way when mining. Look

[33:55] how fast it's charging that rock.

[33:57] Torrent threes for the win. All right,

[33:58] we got the thousands done. We should be

[34:00] able to do the rest with the arbor head.

[34:02] We don't want to risk overcharging and

[34:04] and honestly just losing the material u

[34:06] even if it doesn't affect our ships

[34:08] quite as bad. I did notice that in 47

[34:10] our mining ships are a bit tougher or

[34:12] the explosions from asteroids are a bit

[34:14] weaker. So some rocks will destroy you.

[34:17] Um I was up mining with Hawk Gaming and

[34:20] a very very big heestite rock blew up

[34:24] and took him out in the golem and he was

[34:26] like 300 m away. That was it was wild.

[34:28] We thought we were in a safe area. Uh,

[34:30] my ship got badly hurt to where it was

[34:32] just thawing and nosing down. It

[34:34] couldn't hold itself up. He just got

[34:35] completely eviscerated. Damn. 100%

[34:38] resistance even in the 800. So yeah, I

[34:40] guess these two we can't break. Wait a

[34:43] minute. Hold up.

[34:48] Our gadget survived. And look where it

[34:49] is. We got to go outside to get it

[34:50] anyway. So why don't we try something?

[34:52] You're also about to see why a lot of

[34:53] people would prefer these turrets stay

[34:55] open to vacuum the way they are without

[34:57] any glass because it allows you to just

[34:59] come right out through the turret

[35:00] itself. It looks like it's messed. Oh

[35:02] no, hang on. You get back here. It's

[35:04] busted.

[35:06] So, we can't use it like it is, but I

[35:09] think I can fix it.

[35:16] Yes. I've always wanted to verify if

[35:18] that worked or not.

[35:22] Oh my god, it worked. I thought it was

[35:25] dead. Dead. Holy [ __ ] Okay, so you can

[35:28] repair these. No way. All right, hang

[35:30] on.

[35:37] Oh, that's wild. Look at that. It takes

[35:39] it down to easy and a lot more stable

[35:42] than it would have been on the Hopstead.

[35:44] It doesn't take long to jump out of the

[35:46] turret, throw another gadget on if you

[35:47] want. If it's a valuable enough

[35:48] material, you're going to make it work.

[35:50] Now, did the gadget survive again? Can

[35:53] we just repair it and reuse a third

[35:55] time? Or did it get yeated into space?

[35:59] There it is. Okay, hold on. Wait, it's

[36:03] still it's still in good shape. It

[36:06] didn't get destroyed, I think, as

[36:07] before. I think I hit it with my mining

[36:08] laser. Yeah, buddy. Just reusing the

[36:11] same gadget over and over. Okay, right

[36:13] click, place. Get the ghost icon. Place

[36:15] it on the rock. I'm like, yeah, you

[36:17] could just throttle the other laser to

[36:20] try to make this work, but you know, the

[36:22] whole goal is to show you guys different

[36:23] ways that you can do this and especially

[36:25] do it safer. 97. Let's go. I'm just

[36:28] going to hit it there. All right, let's

[36:29] pull it all in.

[36:31] And there it is floating away. That's my

[36:34] my little optimax. That could man, you

[36:36] did so good. Grab it, throw it in my

[36:39] backpack. It's still in good shape.

[36:42] Let's go. All right, before we head down

[36:44] and do some examples of being on planet

[36:46] side, moon side, or using the geo, we're

[36:48] going to do a quick demonstration of

[36:50] what it's like to swap a component out

[36:51] in the field because I feel like running

[36:52] a torrent on my helix. So, torrent 3,

[36:54] double surge sounds like a good combo to

[36:56] me. We have right alt k to unlock our

[36:59] port so it doesn't show it. It should

[37:01] be. Hang on, let me go shields up and

[37:02] then see. There we go. Now it says ship

[37:04] ports unlocked now that the shields are

[37:05] coming up. Sometimes the text will

[37:06] overlap. It could be a little weird, so

[37:08] you need to mess with it to figure out

[37:09] if you're actually got your shields uh

[37:11] or your ports unlocked. We're running

[37:13] super low signature right now and we are

[37:15] going to hit our speed limit to bring us

[37:16] down to zero. So we don't have a case

[37:18] where our ship is just running away from

[37:19] us as we try to EVA. You wouldn't want

[37:20] that. So speed limiter active. Let's go

[37:22] swap out one of the surges on the nose.

[37:25] Now that is the only laser head that

[37:28] doesn't have the ability to or sorry

[37:30] that's the only laser head with glass.

[37:31] So you can't EVA through it which is

[37:32] fine. And pop over here and grab

[37:34] ourselves a torrent 3. There we go.

[37:36] Looks kind of similar to a surge. A

[37:38] little bit bulkier. Beautiful shot of

[37:40] bloom in the background as we EVA. Nice

[37:42] weathering on the uh the moles paint. I

[37:46] love that. Been using her a lot. I

[37:48] really don't like claiming my ships if I

[37:50] don't have to, especially cuz I like

[37:51] seeing how much they're used, which is

[37:53] great. So, for symmetry reasons, I think

[37:55] I'll make this bottom one the Torrent 3.

[37:57] And we'll keep the top two as the

[37:59] surges. So, now that ports are off, all

[38:01] you got to do is just hit the module. If

[38:03] you're not careful, you'll hit the whole

[38:04] head just like that. So aim at the

[38:06] module and then pull it off following

[38:09] the arrow. Can be a little finagly.

[38:11] There we go. Now make sure you have it

[38:14] stable before you take it off your

[38:15] tractor beam so it doesn't fly off into

[38:17] Neverland cuz it will just keep going.

[38:19] Now unselect it. Hit our inventory. Grab

[38:22] drag it into our inventory. And then

[38:24] grab the other one down here to drop.

[38:26] It'll appear right in front of us. We're

[38:28] just going to back up. Attach it. And

[38:30] then line this up. There we go. There it

[38:33] is. And we're on. Important to keep in

[38:34] mind that if you don't store your ship

[38:37] and actually unequip and re-equip and

[38:40] save when you repair, it will revert

[38:42] back to your original module selections

[38:44] on your laser heads. Keep that in mind.

[38:46] If you want to save the changes you made

[38:48] out in the field, you got to store your

[38:50] ship. You got to go into your moy glass

[38:52] and you actually have to select your

[38:53] mole, unequip what you have, save, and

[38:55] then re-equip what you have, save, and

[38:57] then now it is a permanent change. All

[38:59] right. Now, for this point, you want to

[39:01] pick a spot to uh enter into the

[39:03] atmosphere. I would avoid places of high

[39:05] contention, like Shepherd's Rest. Try

[39:07] derelict outposts of any type. And then

[39:09] I honestly would break quantum before

[39:12] you get within 34 30 40 km of it, and go

[39:16] the other direction, like heading over

[39:18] here to the left or something. Sometimes

[39:19] when using this technique, you might get

[39:21] the quantum audio bug,

[39:25] but if you hit your uh SCM or your nav

[39:27] modes, it'll actually like stop you. So,

[39:30] I just switched back to SEM mode. Now,

[39:32] I'll go back to nav mode and kind of

[39:34] take a peek at to what I'm around. So,

[39:35] we're about 50 km from that outpost. Uh

[39:38] we just don't want to be too close to

[39:39] POIs where other players are, you know,

[39:41] we want to be smart about where we're

[39:42] going. So, this is looking really good.

[39:44] God, Bloom is so gorgeous, man.

[39:46] Beautiful planet. So, we're just going

[39:47] to head on down in this general

[39:49] direction,

[39:51] burning away from the POI that we were

[39:53] flying towards. I like to be at least

[39:55] 100 km away from from the closest POI.

[39:58] And you can use your headings at the top

[39:59] of the um HUD here, you actually have a

[40:02] compass bearing when you're on planets

[40:04] and moons. So you can keep flying in

[40:06] that direction. Like if you know that

[40:08] bearing 010 is going to be the closest

[40:10] POI and turn around and then keep your

[40:12] eyes on your heading up here on your

[40:14] compass, fly the opposite direction as

[40:15] you're mining and stuff without having

[40:17] to completely like turn around and look

[40:18] for POIs every time. And as we're

[40:20] getting closer to the surface, it's good

[40:22] to shift into VTOL mode for support.

[40:27] a full 1g atmosphere.

[40:29] All right. So, if you don't know, if you

[40:31] see a really high number on your

[40:33] scanning signature above our compass

[40:34] heading, it says 63,000. Those are going

[40:36] to be your hand and rock minables. If

[40:39] they are more of the lower asteroid

[40:41] stuff like right there, that's Reite

[40:43] 3385. Is it this upper one or where is

[40:46] that? Yeah, I think it's that 7 km one,

[40:48] which again, remember, you can narrow

[40:50] your your ping, scan out, and then

[40:52] actually grab it with your radar to see

[40:55] what it is. Although there it is. Reside

[40:57] or. Okay. It was It was playing hard to

[40:58] get until we like looked away from it.

[41:00] Sometimes that'll happen. If you go into

[41:01] your SCM mode, it might show you stuff

[41:04] more consistently like that. When you go

[41:06] into nav mode, it goes away. But yeah,

[41:08] we got some Doivine over there. We got

[41:09] some Reite over there. And then we got

[41:11] some Apherite here. So, I'll show you

[41:13] guys on this Apherite node. This is what

[41:15] I do to avoid wasting time. You can scan

[41:18] these with your ship. So, depending on

[41:20] what your threshold is, like for me,

[41:22] it's anything 700 and up. I might not

[41:24] want to land and grab the geo if none of

[41:27] this cluster are over 700 quality.

[41:30] What's kind of cool, too, is after you

[41:31] scan them, they lose that sort of white

[41:33] outline. So, you can kind of keep track

[41:34] of what you scanned and what you

[41:35] haven't. At least it's that's how it's

[41:36] worked for me. You notice the ones to

[41:37] the left of our scanner are are grayed

[41:39] out. You can still rescan them, but they

[41:40] don't have that highlight. So, it's like

[41:42] checking things off a list. You know,

[41:43] the white highlight goes away after you

[41:45] scan it, which is really cool. There we

[41:47] go. 765. Finally, one worth mining.

[41:50] Let's see what else we got here. You can

[41:52] also scan these with the geo once you

[41:53] know you've got something worth

[41:54] grabbing. Oh my goodness. Is that an 800

[41:57] or a 600? 684. It's not horrible. Still

[42:00] not quite 700, but we got one over 700.

[42:02] So, we are going to go down and grab

[42:03] that. It is very normal for ships to get

[42:05] all wobbly when you land, especially on

[42:08] these uneven terrains. So, that's why

[42:10] once you touch down as firmly as you

[42:12] can, you want to kill your engines so

[42:14] that way your ship doesn't fly away. So,

[42:16] especially because it's wobbling and

[42:18] weirdness on this cargo elevator with

[42:19] the geos killed me before. I'm going to

[42:21] send this down from here. Remember,

[42:24] don't tractor it from the back. So,

[42:26] maybe it's this one right here then. No,

[42:28] it was in the darker spot of the ground.

[42:30] There it is. 765. All right. Make sure

[42:32] you're in low mode again. Otherwise,

[42:34] you're going to end up blowing this rock

[42:36] up. Shift our power back down and just

[42:38] be patient and we're not wasting our

[42:40] time on all the two and 300's that are

[42:42] surrounding this cuz we know this is

[42:43] really the only one worth grabbing.

[42:44] There is like a 600 one next to us, but

[42:47] eh. All right, let me pull it in. Just

[42:50] like that. We're done. Moving on. Come

[42:55] back over here.

[42:57] I'm going to

[43:00] turn this way for ease of tractoring.

[43:02] Pop out. All right. Remember what I

[43:05] said. Even if this happens, don't freak

[43:07] out. You're good.

[43:10] Keep your distance from it. It'll come

[43:12] on up. Watch this. Bam.

[43:14] Just like that. Now, once you're up

[43:16] here, grab it.

[43:19] Drop it.

[43:21] It's okay if it's like partially in the

[43:23] deck. It doesn't look great, I admit,

[43:25] but it's okay. I don't bother swapping

[43:27] out what I need from the geopod until

[43:29] it's a bit fuller, but yeah, when it

[43:30] starts to get full, I'll just open it up

[43:32] with the little spot down here and then

[43:35] uh interact with the box, which now it's

[43:36] letting me carry it. See guys, I wasn't

[43:38] crazy. So, you carry it, place it on the

[43:40] deck, so it grids. use your inventory

[43:42] system to swap between. Uh you can't use

[43:45] the proximity inventory system to swap

[43:47] while it's in the geo like this, which

[43:49] is frustrating. I wish you could. Um

[43:51] it's not showing up. So that's why you

[43:53] got to pull the geopod out. Just don't

[43:55] tractor it back here and grab the

[43:57] backpack and end up ripping it off the

[43:59] geo cuz that'll that'll ruin your time.

[44:01] That is pretty much it for mining out of

[44:04] the mole. The different ways that you

[44:05] can. All of this is applicable across

[44:08] the board for going after rocks or other

[44:11] ground minable stuff with the geo. It's

[44:14] not bad, man. I love it. The mole has

[44:16] been an incredible ship. One thing you

[44:17] want to be careful on with refining

[44:19] right now is sending refined or

[44:22] completed refined orders straight to

[44:24] your ships. I wouldn't do that with the

[44:26] current stacking collision issues that I

[44:27] mentioned in my whole sea video where

[44:29] boxes are appearing on top of each

[44:30] other. So, send it to your station and

[44:33] then take it from the station and

[44:34] manually load it to your hauling ships

[44:36] to go sell whatever you need. Um,

[44:38] outside of that, for refining, I'm still

[44:40] using pirates at necromalysis. It is the

[44:42] most expensive, but also the fastest.

[44:44] And that's mostly just for crafting

[44:46] stuff. And even with it being the most

[44:48] expensive, uh, I'm I'm spending on

[44:50] average like maybe 10 to 20k AEC to very

[44:54] fast or very quickly refine uh, the high

[44:57] quality stuff I'm using for crafting. I

[44:59] just dropped about 90k refining probably

[45:02] 2 million worth of Stellaron. So

[45:04] definitely worth it in that sense. But

[45:06] you can use fah exchange or denix

[45:07] solventation that give you the same

[45:09] yield but it's cheaper just takes

[45:11] longer. Totally up to you guys man. As

[45:13] far as selling ore the quality currently

[45:15] doesn't affect it. So if you've got a

[45:16] bunch of resit still around 200 quality

[45:18] whatever go sell that and make bank to

[45:21] fund your crafting and mining journeys.

[45:23] I think I've crossed everything off the

[45:24] list for what I wanted to discuss with

[45:26] this updated masterclass guide to mining

[45:28] out of the mole solo. Please let me know

[45:30] what you guys think. Let me know all of

[45:32] your configurations down below. What are

[45:33] your favorite modules? What are your

[45:34] favorite gadgets? What are your craziest

[45:36] stories mining out of the mole? How many

[45:38] have you been killed by your mole or

[45:39] your geo or sent through the planet? I

[45:41] haven't had that problem happen yet. I'm

[45:43] just trying to be really careful about

[45:44] how I land and how I do things to avoid

[45:46] it. But I love this ship. I It is one of

[45:49] my first pledged ships back in 2020. and

[45:53] I will always have it in my fleet. If

[45:55] any of this didn't make sense, let me

[45:57] know in the comments. Probably can

[45:58] answer a lot of questions there as well.

[46:00] I think that's going to do it for me

[46:01] though, guys. Until next time, I will

[46:03] catch you out in the verse. Take care.
