[00:29] Muham.
[01:13] Today, insh, we will embark on a new series of lectures.
[01:16] A series of lectures concentrating on The Life and Times of the single greatest human being who has ever lived, ever walked on the face of this Earth.
[01:27] And in today's lecture I.
[01:30] Wanted to begin by talking about some of the broad characteristics of our Prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam, some of the what in Arabic is called sh, some of the unique and specific characteristics that Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala has given to our Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam before we embark on the journey of s and why we study s and what is s.
[01:54] That will be inshallah next weekend, next week, and then we begin with the birth and the pre-Islamic Arabia.
[02:00] All of this will come before we even begin a little bit of a tantalizing tidbit, if you like, of the characteristics of the unique specialities that our Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasam was blessed with.
[02:13] Because when we begin these series by talking about his specialities, even though all of us are motivated to study his s, when we study his specialities we will be even more motivated and we'll be even more eager to learn about the life and times, the lessons and morals.
[02:30] Incidents that occurred in the life of our Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
[02:34] And so, where then do we begin when it comes to describing the one whom Allah has chosen above the entire creation?
[02:43] How can we do justice to him when Allah himself says, Allah says, "We have raised up your mentioning and remembrance"?
[02:56] Allah has raised up his mentioning and remembrance.
[02:58] And Ibn Abbas and other scholars of the Sahabah, they said Allah has raised up his remembrance such that whenever Allah is mentioned, the Prophet is mentioned right after that.
[03:08] And how true this is.
[03:10] Whenever Allah is mentioned, the Prophet is almost always mentioned right after that, even in our Shahadah, in the Adhan, in the Salah that we pray.
[03:23] In the Quran itself, there's hardly a Khutbah that we give except that we praise Allah and we send Salat and Salam upon him.
[03:31] The Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Himself has called our Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, "You are the mercy to the entire world."
[03:43] You are the embodiment of Rahma.
[03:47] Allah has sent you, and through you, you will be given Rahma, and you are a Rahma, and you are the channel of Allah's Rahma.
[03:55] So he is the Prophet, he is Rahma, and his sending is Rahma, and his message is Rahma, and his teachings are Rahma, and believing and acting upon what he has come with is a Rahma.
[04:07] He is everything associated with Mercy; that is so.
[04:10] How then can we begin to do justice to the Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, when Allah has praised him so highly?
[04:19] However, even if we cannot mention all of those blessings and characteristics, then at least let us mention some so that they can be an indication for that which is not, uh, it cannot be mentioned because of time and restrictions.
[04:30] And we.
[04:32] Begin by mentioning some of the names that Allah gave our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.
[04:39] For our Prophet had many names.
[04:43] Many of the names of our Prophet were given to him by later people, the early scholars.
[04:48] And one of the famous scholars of the has derived over 250 names of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
[04:56] And if we were to give a class on this, we'd spend three, four weeks just talking about that list.
[05:00] But I wanted to mention some of the names that Allah has given him because you see names come from Allah and names come from the people.
[05:08] And we are obviously the ones that come from the people; we can benefit from them.
[05:12] But the ones that Allah has given our Prophet, those are the primary names that have the deepest meaning.
[05:19] And of the Hadith that the Prophet mentioned his names, he said, the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, "I have a number of names."
[05:30] So the Prophet.
[05:33] Is telling us he has a number of names.
[05:36] He said I am Muhammad and I am Ahmed.
[05:40] I'm going to mention each of these names.
[05:45] And I am Al, and one of his names is Al.
[05:49] And he explained Al is the one whom Allah erases.
[06:02] People will be resurrected, means to be resurrected on my footsteps or meaning after me.
[06:09] Of his names is and he said is the one who has no Prophet after me.
[06:16] He said I am the that is one of my names.
[06:23] And I am the of repentance.
[06:28] And he is the m and the.
[06:33] We're going to explain what this means but the.
[06:35] One that who has uh come after all or the one who pre not not predates the one who comes consequently the one who comes at the end of a long chain that is and I am the prophet of we're going to explain all of these names one by one.
[06:55] So the most common names of the prophet and the two that the Quran explicitly mentions.
[07:01] The Quran mentions many adjectives but it only mentions two nouns.
[07:05] The Quran mentions many adjectives for the prophet from those adjectives we can derive names so we can derive it from the Quran.
[07:14] This is a description an adjective but in terms of proper nouns or in terms of nouns there are two names that are mentioned and these names are Muhammad and Ahmed.
[07:23] The name Muhammad is mentioned four times in the Quran and the name Ahmed is mentioned a few times as well.
[07:31] If my memory serves me correctly it is two or three times the name Ahmed is mentioned and every time it is mentioned.
[07:37] It is mentioned from the tongue of Jesus Christ.
[07:39] The only time Ahmed is mentioned is from the tongue of Jesus Christ.
[07:47] He says that I'm going to tell you of a prophet coming after me, his name is Ahmed.
[07:53] Both Muhammad and Ahmed come from Hamed.
[08:00] And Ham means to praise, but not any type of praise.
[08:07] Ham is what the first word of the Quran, Alhamdulillah, and Hamd means to praise, not in return for some favor given to you because that is Shuk.
[08:20] If somebody does you something, you praise him back, that is Shuk.
[08:22] You, that's that, that is a praise.
[08:25] It's something that you give and take, right?
[08:27] You give me some, I say thank you, or you're a generous man; this is not called Ham.
[08:32] This is Shuk because you have given something back in return for something he's given you.
[08:37] Ham is higher.
[08:39] Than shukur, shukur is a transaction in a way, even though it is something that is good.
[08:43] Higher than shukur is ham, and ham is the highest form of praise.
[08:46] Ham is a praise that is given because of the inherent characteristics in the object that you're praising, not because he's done you anything you given back to him.
[08:58] Because he deserves to be praised for who he is, ham is an object of perfection, an object that is worthy of being praising praised regardless of what he's done or hasn't done.
[09:10] He is worthy of being shown praise, and so the prophet has two names, and his two most common names come from the root which describes praise.
[09:23] Why? Because Allah has praised him, and the angels have praised him, and the people on earth have praised him, and all the prophets have praised him, and every single one of mankind praises him.
[09:40] Directly or indirectly, as for praising him directly, these are the Muslims; they praise him directly.
[09:44] And as for praising him indirectly, then the characteristics and qualities that he has come with are characteristics and qualities of perfection.
[09:53] So even those who reject him by the tongue, they must admit and they must praise the qualities that he came with: mercy, tenderness.
[10:05] It doesn't matter, even if their tongues deny his prophethood, they must praise the qualities that are in him.
[10:13] So he is worthy of praise from all of humanity.
[10:16] And therefore, the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wasallam, is praised in the heavens and in the earth.
[10:23] He is praised in the previous ummah and in the present ummah.
[10:28] He is praised in this dunya and in the hereafter.
[10:32] This is the ultimate praise.
[10:36] There is no human being who has ever been praised or is praised at this point in time or who.
[10:41] Shall continue to be praised more than our Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasam.
[10:46] And think about it, no millisecond occurs on this earth except that there are not millions, not tens of millions, hundreds of millions of people around the globe praising this one person, sallallah alai wasam, either by sending and and or by giving a or lecture or by giving uh uh uh the saying the Salah.
[11:11] Because you cannot pray any Salah, you cannot pray any except that what do you do in that?
[11:17] Think about it, there is no second on Earth that goes by except that hundreds of millions of people are praising this one human being.
[11:28] There is no person who is more praised than our Prophet s. wasam.
[11:34] And the ultimate praise that he will be given by Humanity, of course, the ultimate praise he is given is by Allah.
[11:42] As for humanity, the ultimate praise he will be given will be the praise that he will be given on the day of judgment.
[11:48] On that day, all will know the truth of Islam.
[11:56] You cannot deny Allah when you are seeing.
[11:57] Muslim and non-Muslim, they will know the truth.
[12:00] Of course, it is too late to believe in the truth, but they will know it.
[12:04] So when they recognize the truth, the people will all go to Adam.
[12:10] This is in Bukhari and Muslim.
[12:12] They will all go to Adam and they will say, "Oh Adam, you are our father, and Allah created you with His hands, and Allah blew His Ruh into you."
[12:22] Do you not see the situation your children are in?
[12:25] Why don't you go to Allah and beg for forgiveness?
[12:27] Why don't you go to Allah and beg Him to start the reckoning so that we can move on?
[12:35] So Adam will make an excuse and he will say, "I committed a sin that I should not have done," meaning I'm not worthy to go.
[12:42] Ask Allah, asael, I committed a sin and I'm worried about myself.
[12:48] Na go to another person, go to and so.
[12:52] Humanity at large will go to the prophet and the same request.
[12:57] And the prophet will say, "I made a mistake which I should not have done."
[13:01] Allah told me not to ask anybody to be saved and I asked him to save my son and I disobeyed him and I'm worried about myself.
[13:09] Na go to somebody else, go to Ibraim.
[13:11] They will go to Ibraim; Ibraim will say the same thing, that I made three lies even though they were not lies, but he's so worried he says, "I made three lies and I'm worried about those lies on the day of judgment."
[13:25] What are these three lies?
[13:26] Number one, he said the big idol did it, right?
[13:29] This is it's not even a lie, but he's so worried now, I don't know maybe Allah will call me to task.
[13:33] Number two, he said I'm sick.
[13:35] When his idol, when his people went out of the town, he said, "I'm sick, I don't want to go with you, let me stay here."
[13:41] Why?
[13:43] Because he wanted to destroy the idols.
[13:45] Uh, and number three, he called uh Sarah, his wife.
[13:48] He said, "Sarah is my sister," meaning in Islam, because the King was about to kill him.
[13:52] So he said, "She's my sister, I'm not husband wife, we are sister and brother," meaning, and he sister in Islam, because he wanted to save his life.
[14:01] These three things he was so worried about.
[14:03] He said, "I'm too scared, go to somebody else, go to M," and M will also make an excuse.
[14:10] He will say, "I killed somebody in anger, even though it was an accident, I kill somebody in anger, I'm worried, so go to somebody else."
[14:18] They will go to Isa, will also uh say, "I'm not worthy, go to somebody else."
[14:22] And so all of mankind will come to the Prophet Muhammad sallallah alaihi wasallam.
[14:27] All of mankind, Muslim and kafir, and they will beg the Prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam to intercede, to be a representative, to be a messenger from them to Allah and to be.
[14:44] An intercessor and to be a representative, so they choose one human being to be a representative to go in front of Allah and plead for all of humanity.
[14:56] Plead what to begin your cuz is taking too long and they are getting so worried.
[15:02] So, uh, so if you like, the punishment is increasing because itself is 50,000 years itself is a type of punishment.
[15:16] And the people who have rejected Allah, they will be so exasperated by, they will say, "Whatever comes, let it come, let's just get rid of this day, let's move on to whatever it is."
[15:25] The tension is too much, so they will beg wasallam to go in front of Allah and begin the and ask Allah to begin the Reckoning.
[15:34] And so the prophet will say, "This is my job, this is my responsibility."
[15:39] And so he will then go in front of Allah and.
[15:46] Because he will be the representative, all of humanity will praise him.
[15:52] And he will be given the praiseworthy station which is called Al-Maqam.
[15:55] This is Al-Maqam.
[16:01] This is exactly what Al-Maqam is.
[16:04] What is Al-Maqam? Al-Maqam means Al-Mahmud, means the station, the rank that is Mahmud.
[16:12] What is Mahmud? From Hamd, it is the one that is praised.
[16:16] Everyone will praise him.
[16:19] No human being will be left except that he will thank the Prophet and be thankful to him and praise him for the Maqam.
[16:26] Allah will lift him up to the Maqam al-Mahmud.
[16:29] The angels will praise him.
[16:31] Humanity will praise him.
[16:34] Every single being in existence will praise the Prophet at that point in time.
[16:39] It is Al-Maqam, and because it is Al-Maqam, who better to then it be given to than the one who is Muhammad and the one who is Ahmed?
[16:45] Al-Maqam is.
[16:49] For Muhammad and it is for Ahmed what and both of them mean the one who is ultimately praised.
[16:56] What is the difference between Muhammad and Ahmed?
[16:59] Mam, for those of you learning Arabic, is means that he is being given continuous praise continuously, time after time, praise after praise.
[17:16] So Muhammad is for the quantity of praise that every single point in time he is being praised.
[17:22] And as we already said, from the beginning of time up until our time, till the day of judgment, on the day of judgment, after the day of judgment, all of the time our Prophet will be praised.
[17:33] So Muhammad is for continuity.
[17:37] Muhammad is for quantity.
[17:42] And Ahmed means that he is being given the best type of praise, the highest quality of praise.
[17:49] So Ahmed is for quality.
[17:52] Muhammad is for quantity and the both are combined in our sallallahu alaihi wasallam that he is worthy of being the praise the highest way that any human being can be praised.
[18:03] Of course the praise that we give to Allah is a different type of praise and that is a Divine Praise but the highest praise for any human being is for our prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and the most continuous praise is for our Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
[18:16] So Muhammad is for quantity, Ahmed is for quality and the both of them are combined in our sallallahu alaihi wasallam who will be given Al-Maqam al-Mahmud which is the praise worthy station.
[18:30] Now as for the issue of why is it that the prophet Musa predicted our Rasul with the name of Muhammad as the Quran says and Isa predicted our Rasul with the name of Ahmed, the famous scholar said that the wisdom behind this, the wisdom behind this is that the largest umah after our umah is that of.
[18:56] The Jews, the Bani Israel, they are the largest umah of real followers.
[19:01] That is because the Christians, as we believe, the majority of them they took a different path, that of Paul and his version of Christianity.
[19:08] The original Christians, the True Believers of Isa, were few in number and their religion died out very quickly.
[19:16] Uh, as you know, Constantine and all of these, they changed the religion and it became a trinity.
[19:20] It became a divine nature of Jesus Christ.
[19:22] Of course, Isa never preached this from our perspective.
[19:26] So the prophet, his people were the largest umah of true Muslims after our umah.
[19:36] And therefore they were given quantity.
[19:39] Because they have quantity, so they are told the name that is conducive, that is fitting with them because they're large quantity.
[19:47] As for the prophet Isa, his followers were few, his disciples were few, and the people who truly followed the actual message of Jesus Christ were.
[19:57] Not that many, but they were great in quality.
[19:59] The disciples and those who followed them, they were persecuted.
[20:04] They were tortured.
[20:04] The Pagan Romans killed them.
[20:06] They put them in front of the lions.
[20:08] They combed their bones and their flesh with combs of iron, just like you see on the movies.
[20:15] These tortures this was given to the early Christians, the real Christians, meaning the followers of Jesus Christ, the true followers of Isam.
[20:21] They were few in number, but they were truly devoted and righteous.
[20:26] And so for them, they were given the name Ahmed because they were people of quality.
[20:31] They were people of quality, and they were told that our wasam would be the one who is worthy of the best quality of praise.
[20:39] And so Muhammad and Ahmed are both his names.
[20:46] Of the third name that he mentions, an Al Ali, he explained it himself.
[20:52] Ali is the one whom Allah and means to face, to wipe out Mah.
[21:01] means to wipe out so through me Allah
[21:04] subhah wa ta'ala will wipe out kufur and
[21:07] we see this occurring in his lifetime
[21:10] that the Arabian Peninsula was immersed
[21:12] in kufur and in his own lifetime the the
[21:16] the entire Peninsula was immersed in
[21:18] Islam and within 20 30 years major
[21:21] bastions of kufur were then converted to
[21:24] Islam and they have been in Islam ever
[21:25] since within 60 70 years Islam reached
[21:28] the borders of China and andalus where
[21:31] it remains to this day so Allah subhah
[21:33] wa taala used our Prophet as Al means to
[21:38] wipe away and W if you look at a
[21:40] geographic map if you look at a
[21:42] historical geographic map that tells you
[21:43] the expansion of Islam you see exactly
[21:46] what Ali is literally the religion of
[21:49] Islam is expanding 5 10 15 20 30 40
[21:52] years it's as if the other kufur is
[21:54] being wiped away and the religion of
[21:56] Islam is spreading forth all of this is
[21:59] the one who erases and
[22:02] faes the prophet said he explained it as
[22:08] well that mankind will be
[22:12] resurrected means two things means at my
[22:15] feet literally but what it actually
[22:17] means is right after me so the prophet
[22:20] sallallah alaihi wasallam is the signal
[22:23] signaling of the day of judgment and in
[22:26] fact the coming of the prophet
[22:28] sallallahu alaihi wasallam is the first
[22:31] sign of the day of judgment his sending
[22:35] is the first sign that judgment is now
[22:38] close compared to all the previous
[22:40] Prophets The Very the very of our
[22:43] Prophet Sall alhi wasallam is the first
[22:45] of the signs of the day of judgment so
[22:47] he is
[22:48] saying another interpretation is that I
[22:51] am the first person who will be
[22:53] resurrected and everybody will be
[22:55] resurrected after me
[22:58] so after I am resurrected I will be the
[23:01] first person resurrected and even the
[23:03] order of resurrecting shall be a
[23:05] blessing from Allah subhah and there's
[23:07] no question that the prophets will be
[23:09] resurrected first and foremost and then
[23:11] the and the and then the rest of the
[23:15] umah so even the order of resurrection
[23:17] and the Order of recognizing what's
[23:20] happening cuz Allah mentions in the
[23:21] Quran that when they are resurrected
[23:25] they'll be shaking off the dust and they
[23:26] will say
[23:29] what is happening to us who has brought
[23:32] us forth from our resting places people
[23:34] will be confused what's happening and
[23:35] the prophets will understand immediately
[23:37] what is happening and the first person
[23:39] to be resurrected and the first person
[23:41] to understand will be our Prophet wasam
[23:43] so he's
[23:44] saying the one that is signaling the has
[23:48] by his coming he is signaling the coming
[23:50] of the day of judgment and by his
[23:52] resurrection on the day of judgment he
[23:54] will be the one after whom everybody
[23:57] else will be Resurrected
[23:59] and he said I am the he himself
[24:02] explained it there is no Prophet after
[24:05] me so means the successor the the the
[24:11] word seal is not appropriate because
[24:12] that's but uh what it means is that the
[24:15] one who cuts off basically uh the one
[24:17] who is at the end is the best phrase
[24:19] here the one who comes at the end and
[24:22] then he said I am
[24:24] the and I am the and you understand
[24:29] and Allah calls
[24:30] him I am the which means I am the
[24:35] prophet that is the prophet of
[24:37] repentance I am the source of repentance
[24:40] meaning that by believing in me and by
[24:42] following my teachings people can be
[24:44] forgiven and I am
[24:46] Al here means that the one who comes at
[24:51] the end and makes the previous prophets
[24:55] complete or the one who makes the
[24:57] message of the previous prophets there's
[24:59] no need anymore because we have the full
[25:01] message or the complete message of the
[25:03] prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam and in
[25:05] one Hadith he called
[25:08] himself I am the prophet that will
[25:11] signal lots of Trials and that is
[25:14] because the biggest trials that the
[25:16] world has ever seen will occur with the
[25:18] umah and during the umah of the Prophet
[25:20] sallallahu alaihi wasallam trials such
[25:23] as theal and trials such as the three
[25:26] major earthquakes that will signal the
[25:28] end of time and trials such as the
[25:30] coming down of and the all of these
[25:33] major trials they will occur within the
[25:35] um of this Prophet Sall wasallam so he
[25:38] called himself I
[25:40] am and this is a description that is
[25:43] more of a warning for us and for those
[25:46] who oppose him that that that there's
[25:48] going to be a lot of trials and
[25:49] tribulations in his time and there are
[25:51] other names that are mentioned in the
[25:53] Sunnah and their other descriptions
[25:54] mentioned in the Quran and inshallah in
[25:56] the course of our lectures and series we
[25:58] will be uh talking about some of them as
[26:01] for his specialities what is called in
[26:04] Arabic something that only he was given
[26:07] and no other human being was given and
[26:10] there are many books written by the
[26:11] early Scholars
[26:13] about and about which means that his
[26:17] characteristics and what is unique to
[26:19] him and there are many many uh
[26:21] characteristics that are unique to him
[26:22] some scholars in our times have lifted
[26:24] has listed listed up to 50 specific and
[26:29] unique characteristics and blessings
[26:32] that only he was given and no other
[26:35] human being was given some of these
[26:37] again this is all the summary there's so
[26:38] much more that can be said some of these
[26:40] number one he is the final prophet of
[26:43] Allah no prophet of Allah has obviously
[26:46] ever been the final prophet and there's
[26:48] only one Prophet that can be the final
[26:50] and Allah chose him to be the final
[26:53] prophet and this is explicitly mentioned
[26:55] in the Quran
[27:03] and in another
[27:04] recitation and that is the seal and the
[27:07] end of the prophets number two the
[27:11] prophethood of our Prophet sallallahu
[27:13] alaihi wasam had been decreed by Allah
[27:17] even before Adam existed even before
[27:23] adam. was a living Soul Allah had
[27:26] decreed the Prophet the prophethood of
[27:29] our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
[27:31] wasallam even before the r was blown
[27:34] into Adam one of the sahab asked the
[27:38] prophet when were you decreed to be a
[27:41] prophet the prophet sallallah alaihi
[27:43] wasallam said that when Adam was between
[27:48] the between the mud and the r in other
[27:52] words Adam was not yet combined with and
[27:57] when Adam am was still two separate
[28:00] entities and that is the and the when
[28:02] before the was blown in Allah subhah wa
[28:05] tala had already destined and decreed
[28:07] that I would be coming for
[28:10] mankind of the specialities of our
[28:12] Prophet number three is that he is the
[28:15] only Prophet to have been sent for all
[28:20] of humanity in fact the only Prophet to
[28:24] have been sent even to the Jin no
[28:27] Prophet before our Prophet was sent to
[28:29] All of humanity no Prophet every single
[28:33] Prophet was sent to a specific Nation
[28:37] now somebody can say here Adam was a
[28:41] prophet and he was sent to all of the
[28:44] people of his time because his children
[28:46] there were only his children there and
[28:49] was a and he was sent to the people of
[28:52] his time and there was no other people
[28:54] of his time so he too was sent to the
[28:56] people of all of humanity how then can
[28:58] this be a unique thing for our Prophet
[29:00] sallallahu alaihi wasallam the response
[29:03] is that Adam and N were both
[29:07] exceptions that simply happened by a
[29:09] coincidence of early history in that
[29:13] Adam is the first human and the only
[29:15] human beings will be his descendants it
[29:18] is not that Allah destined him with the
[29:20] title you have been sent to humanity it
[29:23] just so happens that the only Humanity
[29:25] are his children and the same goes for
[29:28] the first messenger ever sent and that
[29:30] is there's only one city in all of
[29:33] humanity there's only one city when he
[29:36] was sent there weren't Villages andas
[29:38] all over the place there was just one
[29:39] group one people one nation one
[29:41] Community that's his people and so when
[29:44] Allah wipes that one Village out the
[29:46] world is wiped out because that's the
[29:47] only one Village out there so once again
[29:49] it is not as if no was intended to be
[29:52] sent for all of humanity it just so
[29:54] happened that all of humanity was one
[29:57] Village and that that's why both of
[29:58] these are the earliest two prophets
[30:00] right no Prophet after them when there
[30:02] were multiple cities was sent to both
[30:05] cities no Prophet after them when there
[30:07] were other civilizations was sent to
[30:09] more than two civilizations other than
[30:11] our prophet wasam he wasn't just sent to
[30:14] two civilizations he was sent to All of
[30:17] humanity and not just this another
[30:20] speciality he was actually even sent to
[30:23] the Jin and this is a uniqueness that no
[30:25] other Prophet has ever been sent for and
[30:28] inshallah in the course of our lectures
[30:30] we will mention a very famous incident
[30:32] in the early me it is called the night
[30:35] of the Jin the night of the Jin and on
[30:37] this night the jins came to mecah Muslim
[30:40] jins and they wanted the prophet to
[30:42] teach them about Islam so the prophet
[30:45] went and he taught them what they needed
[30:46] to know and there are details that we
[30:48] know of that night and we'll talk about
[30:49] it during that time of the specialities
[30:53] of our Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasam
[30:55] that no other nation and no other
[30:57] Prophet has been given our Prophet Sall
[30:59] alhi wasallam said that Allah has helped
[31:01] me
[31:04] with means a type of fear that Allah
[31:07] will inflict into my enemies even before
[31:10] I reach them even one month's Journey
[31:13] before I come to them they will become
[31:14] terrified of me so Allah helped him
[31:17] without even physical combat that in his
[31:20] time of course this is unique to him
[31:22] only not to the rest of prophets or even
[31:24] to his umah to him only that when he
[31:26] went into battle against against an
[31:28] enemy then the people began became
[31:30] terrified of him even before he reached
[31:33] them and this he said Allah help me with
[31:36] is frightening or fear uh and Allah Str
[31:39] struck fear into the hearts of my
[31:41] enemies for the distance of one entire
[31:44] month of the specialities that he has
[31:46] been given was that he has been given
[31:49] the largest umah out of all of the
[31:53] prophets and this is mentioned in aith
[31:56] inar that he said that Allah showed me
[31:59] the ums and I saw an um as large as the
[32:02] eye could see and I said maybe this is
[32:06] my umah and I was told no this is the um
[32:09] of
[32:10] M and then I saw an um even larger than
[32:14] that and then I was told and it was
[32:17] larger than the Horizon it blocked my
[32:19] vision and I was told this is your um
[32:22] and in another Hadith he said that to
[32:25] the sahab do you wish that your um
[32:28] meaning the um of the Prophet should be
[32:31] onethird of the people of jenah they
[32:34] said allahar there have been hundreds
[32:36] and thousands of UMAS and if one um is
[32:39] onethird of Jen allahar so he was silent
[32:43] then he said would you be happy if I
[32:45] told you that your umah is one/ half of
[32:48] the people of Jenna they said allahar
[32:51] then he was silent and then he said by
[32:53] Allah my hope is that my um shall be too
[32:57] thirds of the people of Jenna not that
[33:00] we want to kick the other UMAS out
[33:02] they're all going to get in if they
[33:03] deserve it but that our umah will be so
[33:06] large and Subhan Allah modern estimates
[33:09] say how many people are Muslim on the
[33:11] face of this Earth around 1 billion
[33:13] right 1 billion do the math from the
[33:15] time of the Prophet until imagine I mean
[33:19] already the percentages are so huge and
[33:22] then compare them to the real followers
[33:24] of the prophets right the actual true
[33:27] Christians not the Christians who
[33:28] believe in the Divinity of Jesus Christ
[33:30] the Christians who believed in Jesus
[33:32] Christ as being how few must they be and
[33:36] then the actual bani is at the time of M
[33:39] at the time of the prophets of the old
[33:41] who believed in the prophets they must
[33:43] have been in the hundreds of millions
[33:44] great number mallah great number but you
[33:47] cannot compare to the billion that we
[33:49] have now and and throughout history for
[33:51] 14 centuries and Allah knows how many
[33:53] centuries till and so when you look at
[33:56] that inshallah you can see
[33:58] how true the prophet and imagine he's
[34:00] speaking at a time when there's only one
[34:03] city of Muslims that's Medina he's
[34:05] speaking at a time when there are maybe
[34:07] 1,500 Muslims on Earth and there are
[34:10] probably 2 three million Christians and
[34:14] hundreds and thousands of Jews and he's
[34:16] telling a group of 50 sahab in his Masid
[34:18] that I hope that inshallah you will be
[34:20] 2third of the people of Jenna when we
[34:23] hear this Hadith now we say of course
[34:24] it's common sense but when he said it it
[34:26] was a miracle and we see this now with
[34:29] our two eyes of his
[34:32] specialities that no other Prophet has
[34:34] been given is that he has been given the
[34:37] most powerful
[34:39] miracle and that is the miracle of the
[34:42] Quran now I've given many lectures about
[34:44] this issue and inshallah one day we'll
[34:46] talk also about this issue in more
[34:47] detail but there is no miracle that
[34:50] compares to the Quran there is no
[34:52] miracle that compares to the Quran and
[34:55] one thing will demonstrate this for you
[34:56] and that is that
[34:58] look look at any other miracle that you
[35:00] can imagine the splitting of the Red Sea
[35:02] or the resurrection of Lazarus Jesus
[35:05] Christ resurrected by the permission of
[35:06] Allah the dead right all of these
[35:09] Miracles we have no access to them we
[35:12] didn't see the splitting of the Red Sea
[35:14] you weren't there when Jesus Christ
[35:16] called out to Lazarus and he came out
[35:17] walking from the grave so how do we it's
[35:20] not really a miracle for me and you
[35:22] except that we believe in it but the
[35:24] Quran is a miracle that I can hand to a
[35:27] non Muslim say here this is the miracle
[35:29] of my Prophet the Quran is a miracle I
[35:31] can recite and the people can hear it's
[35:34] a living Miracle it's a miracle that all
[35:37] of humanity has access to and there is
[35:39] no miracle that compares to the miracle
[35:41] of the Quran in many different ways and
[35:43] that is the topic of an entire other
[35:45] lecture of the specialities that our
[35:47] Prophet has been given and no other
[35:51] Prophet has been given and we will spend
[35:53] inshallah two or 3 weeks discussing this
[35:55] one speciality is the night journey
[35:59] of no other Prophet has had the
[36:02] privilege of undertaking this journey
[36:06] even when Allah spoke with one of the
[36:09] greatest prophets and that is
[36:11] M it was the Divine speech that was
[36:14] given to M while M was on Earth M was on
[36:19] and Allah spoke with him as for our
[36:22] Prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam the
[36:24] only human being to have been called
[36:27] called up to the presence of Allah no
[36:31] other human being has ever been called
[36:34] up to the presence of Allah and the
[36:36] prophet undertook a journey that no
[36:38] other as far as we know ever undertook
[36:41] and he went up to a that jiel told him
[36:45] my permission stops here you must go
[36:47] alone even jiel said I this is my my my
[36:51] stop is right my Visa whatever you want
[36:52] to call it right this is where it ends
[36:54] ends I can't go any further and so our
[36:56] prophet
[36:58] went
[37:00] up according to an interpretation and
[37:02] this we'll talk about inshallah in more
[37:04] detail uh in in the Journey of but this
[37:08] is definitely one of the greatest
[37:10] blessings that our Prophet sallai wasam
[37:14] was given of his specialities that he
[37:17] was given is that he is the leader of
[37:20] all of humanity and he himself told us
[37:23] this in Inari and Muslim
[37:28] I am the the here
[37:32] means means the one who is in charge of
[37:35] the one who is the representative the
[37:37] one who is the
[37:40] leader I am the of the children of Adam
[37:44] and what do say here means many meanings
[37:46] first and foremost he is the master
[37:50] meaning what does it mean say master
[37:52] here meaning he is the Perfection of
[37:54] humanity and he deserves to be the
[37:57] leader of humanity and he will be the
[38:00] leader of Humanity on the day of
[38:02] judgment so the say here has multiple
[38:04] meanings and he is all of these meanings
[38:07] so the prophet is the of the day of
[38:10] Judgment of the blessings that are
[38:12] unique to him is that the prophet
[38:14] sallallah alaihi
[38:16] wasam will be the very first human being
[38:19] to be resurrected on the day of judgment
[38:21] as we said in tells us this the first
[38:24] grave to open up when the second trumpet
[38:27] is BL there are two trumpets
[38:30] right the trumpet will be blown twice
[38:32] the second trumpet will be when the
[38:34] graves will be opening up so when the
[38:36] graves are opening up the prophet sallam
[38:38] said the first grave that will crack
[38:40] open will be mine the prophet will be
[38:43] the first human being and that also
[38:45] explains his name Al and he will also be
[38:48] the first human being to be clothed on
[38:50] the day of Judgment of the specialities
[38:53] that he has been given is that he will
[38:56] be given the largest
[38:58] how and how is a pool that our Prophet
[39:02] has been promised we talked about this
[39:04] when we talked about of and this is a
[39:08] pool a which is square in shape he has
[39:12] told us it is square in shape and it is
[39:15] so large that one side of it one of
[39:18] these squares it is as if it is from
[39:20] Mecca to which is the entire AR or half
[39:24] of the Arabian Peninsula right from
[39:25] mecah to this is just one one side of it
[39:28] you multiply that by four you get the
[39:30] perimeter and I described the and the in
[39:34] a previous lecture inshallah you can go
[39:36] back to that of his speciality is the K
[39:38] he has been given the main tributary the
[39:42] main river of Jenna and all the rivers
[39:45] of Jenna split from that it is as if one
[39:48] can say it is as if the people of jna
[39:51] will drink water from the gift of the
[39:54] Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
[39:55] because it is Al and
[39:58] is so the people of J's water is all a
[40:02] gift for and coming from and given to
[40:04] our Prophet Muhammad sallallah alai
[40:07] wasam of his specialities is he will be
[40:11] the first to cross over the satat and he
[40:13] will be the one guiding his um to jenah
[40:15] and he will be the first to knock on the
[40:17] doors of Jenna and he will be the first
[40:20] human being to ever enter Jenna after
[40:23] our father Adam has left it and he will
[40:26] be the one in whose name the gates of
[40:28] Jenna will be opened when he knocks on
[40:30] the door and the angel the bab the the
[40:33] the the the angel in charge of the gate
[40:35] will say who is it and he will say
[40:37] Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam the
[40:39] angel will say to you I have been
[40:42] commanded to open meaning I can't open
[40:44] for anybody else you are the one I have
[40:46] to open for and so when his name is
[40:48] uttered it is his name that will give be
[40:51] the permission to open up the gates of
[40:53] jenah and therefore as he told us the
[40:55] very first footstep to be entering into
[40:58] jenah will be that the right foot of our
[41:00] Prophet Muhammad sallallah alaihi wasam
[41:03] and then his umah will be the first umah
[41:06] even though we are the last umah
[41:09] chronologically but because we are his
[41:11] umah and because we are his followers
[41:14] Allah will bless us and Allah will gift
[41:16] us and Allah will honor us not because
[41:19] of us but because of him and we will be
[41:21] asked to enter along with him so we will
[41:24] be the first um to enter Jenna even
[41:27] though we are the last um
[41:28] chronologically and this is of his
[41:30] specialities and the final speciality
[41:32] will mention and there is so much more
[41:34] to be said uh but time is of the essence
[41:36] here the final speciality that will be
[41:38] mentioned is that Allah has blessed him
[41:42] with the highest level of Jen it is a
[41:46] level that is the Pinnacle
[41:49] of it is an entire level some Scholars
[41:53] have said that Jenna you can look at it
[41:55] kind of like a p pyramid in that the
[41:59] higher up you go the fewer the people
[42:01] right the higher up you go the fewer the
[42:03] people so Jenna will be more populated
[42:06] at the lower levels and there will be no
[42:08] crowding in Jenna alhamdulillah but
[42:10] nonetheless it will be more populated in
[42:13] the lower levels and the higher up you
[42:15] go fewer and fewer people will be able
[42:17] to get to those levels and there will
[42:21] come a point and there will come a level
[42:23] that is an entire level of Jenna and
[42:26] that is meant for only one person the
[42:30] whole D the
[42:32] whole plane of that field of Jenna is
[42:36] only meant for one person and it is the
[42:40] Pinnacle
[42:41] of and it is immediately underneath the
[42:44] Throne of Allah subhanahu wa taala and
[42:47] this is
[42:50] called This is called Al this is called
[42:55] Al and the prophet
[42:57] alai wasam said that
[43:00] this is
[43:03] a it is a level of Jenna that Allah has
[43:07] chosen for only one of his servants for
[43:12] only one of his servants and then he
[43:14] said modestly
[43:17] that I hope
[43:20] that that I am that person and this is
[43:23] out of his modesty there is no other
[43:25] human being that is qualified to to be
[43:27] of that place and so he simply said I
[43:30] hope I pray that I am the person that
[43:32] that is destined for and that is why he
[43:35] wanted us to pray that Allah gives him
[43:40] this and and that is why every time the
[43:43] Adan is called what do we
[43:53] say that is the of right
[43:58] so is for the is for the day of judgment
[44:01] is for after the day of judgment you
[44:03] give him after the day of judgment we
[44:05] give
[44:06] him that
[44:09] is and resurrect him on the day of
[44:14] judgment so the is on the day of
[44:17] judgment we explain what that is and
[44:19] that is all of humanity will be praising
[44:22] him and all of humanity will be sending
[44:24] their Salat and Salam upon him even even
[44:27] those who rejected him in this world
[44:29] even those who cursed him and ridiculed
[44:32] him and mocked him and Drew diagrams
[44:34] against him W on that day they will be
[44:37] praising him and sending salaat and
[44:39] Salam upon him because they have to
[44:41] because it is so all of humanity will be
[44:44] praising him on the day of judgment
[44:47] on and in the he will be
[44:51] given and that is why we make Dua to
[44:54] Allah to give him all of these levels
[44:57] and characteristics and these are simply
[44:59] some of the some of the specialities of
[45:04] our Prophet Sall Al wasam and
[45:06] unfortunately there's only a few minutes
[45:08] left so there's no point beginning the
[45:10] next section which is about his
[45:11] characteristics and how he looked and
[45:13] his mannerisms and his his lifestyle
[45:16] insh we will be talking about that uh
[45:19] next uh Wednesday
