[00:00] I analyzed the smallest cryptocurrencies in my portfolio, and what came out of this analysis is really very interesting.

[00:05] Actually, my line of thinking was very simple.
En fait, mon raisonnement était très simple.

[00:06] Basically, I wondered which cryptocurrencies have lost the most value.

[00:09] The market has been falling for a year, since October 2025, and I wanted to see which cryptocurrencies have lost the most.

[00:14] Next, I wondered about the different families of cryptocurrencies.

[00:17] Is it a few specific projects, or is it entire categories of altcoins that have ultimately lost the most value?

[00:23] And I performed the same analysis in the other direction.

[00:25] I looked at the last two months, since the market seems to have turned around and started to recover, to see which cryptos are gaining the most value and, once again, which families of cryptocurrencies are recovering.

[00:39] The goal was to know if it's one or two champions within a family pushing an entire sector upward, or if, on the contrary, it's a more diffuse increase in value affecting a whole segment.

[00:48] And to finish, I looked at the leaders of all these families and tried to understand the drivers of their rise.

[00:53] Are there specific reasons that make them capture much more value than other cryptocurrencies?

[00:58] And by taking the
  Et en prenant le

[01:00] Leaders of all these families, which are actually quite different, we can distinguish two or three reasons—or at least two or three mechanisms and patterns found everywhere—that explain why certain cryptos are regaining so much value.

[01:10] Even though the market has globally turned around and altcoins are starting to get some energy back, we realize that it really doesn't affect all altcoins, so many people are happy to see the market turn around, but in reality, it really depends on what makes up your portfolio.

[01:26] And we understand why some people are happy to see the altcoin market waking up while others don't feel like the market is doing that well.

[01:32] Anyway, I hadn't planned to make this video on my main channel initially because it's a bit different from what I usually do.

[01:39] Ultimately, I'm giving you some numbers, my cold-headed interpretation, and the conclusions I've drawn.

[01:43] This is also a format we could cover one day live on Twitch if you're interested.

[01:49] In any case, don't hesitate to tell me in the comments if you like it.

[01:52] Feel free to share your interpretation as well.
N'hésitez pas à partager votre interprétation également.

[01:53] The goal is for this to be interactive, and especially for you to subscribe.

[01:56] You know full well that this is what supports my channel.

[01:58] It's nice to see a little bit of energy returning to the

[02:01] market.
  marché.

[02:03] When I see the number of subscribers on a piece of content, I know you liked it and I tend to do it again.

[02:06] Let's go, we're starting right away.

[02:08] Well, if you know me, it's obvious, but this is not investment advice.

[02:16] We are going to take stock of the market.

[02:17] We are going to focus precisely on altcoins.

[02:18] So, we're not even talking about Bitcoin.

[02:21] And we'll look at what is outperforming and what is underperforming while trying to ask why.

[02:25] Once again, and it's a common saying, past performance is no guarantee of future results.

[02:28] So don't think that with a quick look at the market, you can instantly know what's going to 3x tomorrow.

[02:35] Be careful, I remind you, in cryptocurrency, you only invest what you are prepared to lose.

[02:39] Now that this has been said and recalled, we can begin.

[02:42] In this analysis, I have therefore removed Bitcoin and stablecoins, meaning cryptocurrencies pegged to the euro or dollar, to focus on the largest altcoins on the market.

[02:48] A basket of about 140 assets, 138 to be exact.

[02:54] What's interesting is that I looked at three points in time.

[02:56] The first point was October 6th, before the crash that violently pushed the market down for

[03:02] Almost a year, and early July, that is to say 2 months ago before the market recovered.

[03:06] And today, what's interesting is that since the market recovered, Bitcoin, which is something of a benchmark and a metronome in this market, has gained 40%.

[03:16] We realize that most altcoins have performance that is lower than Bitcoin because, as you will see, on average the altcoins, at least those in my basket, have gained 35% in performance, which is a bit less than Bitcoin, the champion of this market.

[03:29] Be that as it may, I repeat, the rise of the last two months is very interesting.

[03:32] It is even dazzling, but it only erases a small part of the loss that was made over the last 12 months.

[03:38] If we compare today's situation to the situation in October 2021, we are for the most part at a loss.

[03:45] To give you an idea, 121 cryptos out of 138 have regained value over the last two months.

[03:50] However, 128 of them, meaning almost all of them, are still below the value they had at the same time last year.

[03:59] So, which family is recovering and at what pace?

[04:00] That is the question I asked

[04:02] Myself.
  Moi-même.

[04:04] To ensure my measurement is quite accurate and to try to get figures that are truly meaningful, what I did was establish a framework for my analysis.

[04:09] This framework is as follows.
  Ce cadre est le suivant.

[04:11] We are talking about market cap, meaning I don't just look at the price trend of a cryptocurrency; I look at the price trend of that same cryptocurrency multiplied by the number of tokens in circulation.

[04:19] And you will see that it really makes a difference and that if I hadn't done that, we would have missed some essential information.

[04:25] Basically, we are talking about market cap for those who already know, but the circulating supply market cap.

[04:31] Essentially, if a cryptocurrency plans to issue tokens in the future but they are currently locked, we do not count them.

[04:36] We really focus at each data point on the tokens that were in circulation.

[04:40] And here, we return to the three time points I gave you.

[04:43] The benchmark is as follows.
Le point de repère est le suivant.

[04:44] On October 6, 2025, the circulating market cap of the cryptocurrencies in my basket was 1.457 trillion dollars.

[04:52] During the decline that lasted almost a year, they lost 900 billion dollars to drop to a total valuation of 560 billion, and they have since recovered a little over 300.

[05:03] Billion to end up at 866 billion dollars in valuation at the time I am filming this video.

[05:07] In any case, what is interesting is to understand that this rise has only covered 34% of the drop, so a little more than a third of the value lost over nearly a year.

[05:17] This figure is important because it is the reference point, it is an average.

[05:21] Any cryptocurrency that has recovered less than 34% of what it lost last year is underperforming and is therefore found in our analysis to have a weaker capacity to recover the value it lost than the others.

[05:34] Conversely, if it performs better than 34%, it means it has managed to recapture and regain more value than the average of these cryptos.

[05:39] And what is even more interesting is when we sort them by category, when we start to define a basket of cryptocurrencies and organize them by theme.

[05:46] NFTs, meme coins, Layer 1s and Layer 2s—meaning the primary blockchains and secondary networks, infrastructure, everything related to NFTs, the metaverse, artificial intelligence, decentralized finance, or even tokenization.

[06:00] As we can see, the family that has recovered the least value is definitely the NFT, metaverse,

[06:04] and video game sector.
et le secteur des jeux vidéo.

[06:06] I am clearly referring to cryptocurrencies linked to NFT projects.

[06:07] In other infrastructure, we see a performance of 40%, which is half the average.

[06:11] And the first interesting piece of data comes from meme coins, at 15%.

[06:14] And here, I must admit I was surprised.

[06:16] Actually, I had that impression, especially with the Robinhood blockchain trend, that there was a new wind of freshness for meme coins.

[06:22] And this reminds us of two things.
Et cela nous rappelle deux choses.

[06:24] First, unlike certain cryptocurrencies that try to create value over the long term, which can lose value but try to recover it as soon as the market wakes up, that is not how the meme coin world works.

[06:34] In the world of meme coins, it is the creators of the coins who gain the most value.

[06:37] The goal, therefore, when the wind and the trend return, is not to revalue existing old projects.

[06:43] There are always some that capture a bit of value.

[06:45] Dogecoin, PEPE, in short, the biggest ones.
Dogecoin, PEPE, bref, les plus grands.

[06:48] But the meme coin industry, especially when there are new trends, is really like disposable rockets.

[06:51] The goal is to launch new ones, to win as much as possible where some will lose at launch, at startup, and most of the time, the project dies and we create a new one.

[06:59] So even if we get the impression that meme coins are waking up because some simply are, it's

[07:05] A minority, and globally the overall trend, the "meme coin season," is really not there.

[07:11] A few projects certainly benefit from new trends on new blockchains, but it is not all meme coins that are performing, quite the opposite.

[07:16] The second thing is that the biggest historical projects, those that truly embody memes like Dogecoin, certainly have had slight performance over the last few weeks, but they are not the ones gaining the most value, far from it.

[07:26] We see DePIN, which was really hitting its stride and trending, is only at 17%, and centralized platforms are at 18%.

[07:32] My takeaway is as follows.
  Ma conclusion est la suivante.

[07:34] For some platforms, the "bull run," in quotes, as some are waiting for, has not arrived yet.

[07:40] Yes, Bitcoin has rebounded from $ 60,000 to $ 85,000, but there isn't generalized euphoria yet.

[07:45] Not all trading volumes have returned yet.

[07:46] And overall, what you need to understand is that most centralized exchanges that have issued a token—I say most, I’m not categorizing all platforms the same way—it’s their printing press.

[07:56] They generally hold the largest stock of tokens, and generally, it's when they themselves create buying pressure that the token gains value.

[08:01] For now, in a period where they haven't recovered all their revenue and the crypto craze and

[08:07] Euphoria haven't returned, exchange platforms will tend to build up cash reserves.

[08:10] So, if there is real buying pressure from the community, that is when they will voluntarily maintain selling pressure, selling their own tokens and taking advantage of a rise that we don't fully see reflected in the token's price.

[08:21] In exchange, they sell these tokens and build their treasury.

[08:25] Treasury that could potentially be used to buy back the token and drive it up even higher at a later time.

[08:31] But when the platforms are certain there is a confirmed bull run, and they need to support their token price to avoid disappointing community members who have filled their bags, or conversely, if the market does poorly, they will be able to hold out longer until better days thanks to the cash they have accumulated.

[08:48] Once again, this is just one interpretation, but when you know that the platforms themselves hold the bulk of their token's liquidity, it is absolutely not surprising.

[08:54] And here, we see Layer 2s that have only gained 20% in performance, which is almost half the average.

[09:00] The message, once again, is very simple.

[09:02] Some Layer 2s are performing well, as you will see; there is one in particular that has really benefited from this session.

[09:05] However, once again,
  Cependant, encore une fois,

[09:08] Do Layer 2 tokens—meaning the cryptocurrencies of these secondary networks—actually capture the value circulating on those networks?

[09:16] There are several secondary layers that are functioning very well.

[09:17] And yet, when they have a token, it doesn't particularly gain value.

[09:22] Don't forget, a stock share and a cryptocurrency are truly very different.

[09:26] A stock is a share of the company, a share of its profits, and a share of its rights.

[09:30] There are cryptocurrencies issued by networks and tools that function very well, but the cryptocurrency doesn't necessarily benefit from the utility of the tool.

[09:36] From the moment there is no mechanism to transfer value to the token, you can see networks that explode and thrive while their cryptocurrencies are not doing well at all.

[09:44] Payment-related solutions at 26%, and we’re starting to get into a category that interests us a bit more: Layer 1s, the main chains.

[09:53] Well, they’re at 32%, so just slightly below that average.

[09:57] But overall, what you need to understand is that this was truly the category that was thriving and killing it in 2021.

[10:01] Building your first layer, building your main blockchain network—it was definitely the category that saw massive investments.

[10:07] We saw Layer 1s appearing.
Nous avons vu des couches 1 apparaître.

[10:10] Everywhere, and today most of them are dead.

[10:12] And you will see when we open this family that only a few big networks take everything, winners take all, while most networks struggle to capture value.

[10:21] In any case, on average, they are slightly below the overall growth.

[10:25] So we arrive at our three winners: artificial intelligence, decentralized finance, and finally, the big leader, tokenization.

[10:30] First off, my first surprise is that I knew the world of tokenization was exploding.

[10:36] There are more and more assets—precious metals, companies, real estate—being tokenized on the blockchain and traded.

[10:44] But I didn't think that the tokens issued by the protocols themselves that tokenize—meaning those that create digital twins of these real assets—would benefit this much from the rise.

[10:53] Also, you have to understand that it’s not just tokenization; I wanted to create a category that also includes interoperability, meaning the link between the real world and the blockchain.

[11:01] The idea behind this family was really all the projects that have utility and allow connecting crypto and blockchain infrastructures to the real world, which I believe is arriving, especially with the entry of

[11:10] Institutions.
  Institutions.

[11:13] So, there are also oracles, such as Chainlink or Pyth Network, which are necessary to replicate the value of real assets being tokenized within the blockchain, for example, or even infrastructure like LayerZero that enables bridges and connections between different infrastructures.

[11:25] In short, I was expecting a loss, but perhaps not one this big.

[11:28] Next, there is decentralized finance, and you will see right away that there is a trap, because in decentralized finance—or the overall basket, in this case—I put a little bit of everything.

[11:35] All types of decentralized protocols that may or may not offer perp DEXs, spot exchanges, lending and borrowing protocols; in short, a bit of everything that's done in decentralized finance.

[11:44] And you will see that naturally there are champions that drive growth much more than others, but in that regard, I am not surprised to see them outperform the average.

[11:51] And finally, artificial intelligence, and frankly, I was surprised there.

[11:54] Well, I understood why very quickly, but I was expecting artificial intelligence to perform a little better.

[12:00] OK, but overall there aren't many crypto projects.

[12:04] And back when artificial intelligence exploded and cryptocurrencies followed suit, it didn't last long for one simple reason.

[12:11] Yes, artificial intelligence will use the crypto world, but the crypto projects created solely to serve artificial intelligence today are, on average, very meh.

[12:18] There isn't much there, and as I said in my video about Bittensor, it's the only project that really plans to offer something substantial and has a fairly robust infrastructure.

[12:28] However, even if the infrastructure is there, the concrete usage and the projects that actually use its decentralized infrastructure for AI aren't quite there yet.

[12:40] But it's true that apart from that, I know very few other artificial intelligence projects that have potential and are directly linked to crypto.

[12:44] If I'm wrong, the comment section is yours, I'm all ears.

[12:48] There is just one category that I completely removed from my analysis because it was breaking all records.

[12:54] It is a segment that performed so well that it wouldn't make sense to display it alongside the others, because otherwise it would simply bias the analysis and the averages.

[13:02] It concerns the family of privacy coins, or in any case, those with privacy and confidentiality features.

[13:09] Why?
  Pourquoi ?

[13:09] Well, first of all, because it didn't lose value.

[13:10] It was worth 9 billion in
  Elle valait 9 milliards en

[13:12] October 2025, 13 billion in July—so after the famous year of decline for most projects—and today it's 36 billion, driven by assets like Monero or Zcash that are literally breaking all records and crushing everything.

[13:25] So you can see that with my approach of looking at what loses value and what regains it afterward, it didn't make sense to look at a segment where it is rather diffuse.

[13:31] Even if there are one or two big leaders, it's really the thesis that is exploding, and we find ourselves today in a much, much better configuration than even before the year-long downturn.

[13:39] I still had to mention them because they were indeed the few assets that were able to pull your portfolios upward.

[13:47] And now, we are disqualifying some of them.
Et maintenant, nous en disqualifions certains.

[13:47] Why?
  Pourquoi ?

[13:48] Because we are going to open up these families and realize there are three impostors.

[13:51] The artificial intelligence basket, with 62% growth over the last two months, falls to 22% if we remove Bittensor.

[13:57] It is clearly Bittensor that is single-handedly carrying the entire segment.

[14:01] Once again, we shouldn't disqualify it; it remains a project.

[14:05] But what I want to tell you by that is that it is very heavily represented, and it alone represents a large part of all artificial intelligence on the

[14:13] blockchain.
  blockchain.

[14:13] So naturally, when it performs, the segment performs, and when it loses value, it goes in the other direction.

[14:18] Second interesting thing, let's look at decentralized finance.

[14:22] It is Uniswap this time that is pulling the segment forward tremendously.

[14:25] First, it reminds us that Uniswap has taken on an completely disproportionate role in decentralized finance, and second, that it has also had a completely crazy performance.

[14:33] If we remove Uniswap, we drop to 35%.
Si nous retirons Uniswap, nous tombons à 35 %.

[14:36] And finally, the Layer Ones, which in appearance are really close to the overall average of assets that have regained value.

[14:41] Well, no.
  Eh bien, non.

[14:43] If we remove Ether, BNB, and Sol, the three biggest networks, we end up at 23%.

[14:48] Layer Ones have indeed taken a monumental hit during the downturn, and there are very few main networks that have managed to recapture that value in the last two months.

[14:56] The smaller assets are still lagging behind, not to mention that some of them are outright dead and we don't hear about them anymore.

[15:03] Where there used to be a race for who would have the best main network, today, it feels like the market is settling on the fact that there are a few networks that respond more or less well, which are used more or less for questions of

[15:14] Speed, resilience, or decentralization.
  Vitesse, résilience ou décentralisation.

[15:16] And when we have our few leaders, well, there is no more race, and there isn't much other competition left.

[15:20] This addresses the TPS race.
Cela répond à la course aux TPS.

[15:21] You know, the number of transactions per second that could pass on a network.

[15:25] At the beginning, all blockchains wanted to go as fast as possible.

[15:27] Having the best TPS, yes, that's fine.

[15:30] But if the one and only argument is to go very fast.

[15:32] The day we have a leader, the day we have a blockchain that exceeds the speed needed by its users, well, at that point, there is only one winner.

[15:40] Or maybe one or two because they have specific characteristics, but if the goal is just to go the fastest, there won't naturally be 500 winners in the race.

[15:46] Now, I would still like to draw your attention to something interesting.

[15:49] There are cryptocurrencies that have lost value even though their supply has increased.

[15:53] Let's take the example of TAO.
  Prenons l'exemple de TAO.

[15:54] Not only has it performed, as you have seen, since it single-handedly carries the entire artificial intelligence segment, yet its token has lost value.

[16:01] That is to say, if we compare today to October 2024, it has lost about 10% of its value.

[16:08] And yet, the total valuation of all TAO in circulation has increased, and increased enough so that the performance it recovered boosts the

[16:16] Entire sector and single-handedly pulls the whole artificial intelligence basket upward.

[16:19] Why?
  Pourquoi ?

[16:19] Well, simply because there are many more TAO in circulation.

[16:24] About 15% of the circulating supply was unlocked over the last 12 months.

[16:28] So even if it loses a bit of value per unit, it has recovered a lot over the last two months, and it recovered a lot on a number of tokens that was even higher than the quantity circulating a year ago.

[16:40] That is why it has such a crazy outperformance and why the AI sector is recovering so much value.

[16:44] That was just to drive the point home one last time and remind you that we are not just talking about the crypto price, we are talking about the value it represents in the global basket of all circulating cryptocurrencies.

[16:53] And that says a lot more because, technically, seeing a cryptocurrency lose value when supply is increasing is actually quite normal.

[17:00] You increase the quantity, it creates inflation—even if there are other mechanisms—it can devalue the token.

[17:05] A token that continues or maintains its value quite well when there is a very, very large issuance is a token that, overall, is increasing its market capitalization.

[17:12] So now, I have taken the leaders of all these categories and tried to understand.

[17:15] I realized that it
Je me suis rendu compte que cela

[17:17] Was very concentrated.
  Était très concentré.

[17:19] In each family, there were still two or three giants driving the whole thing.

[17:21] So that is why we don't have an alt season.

[17:24] We certainly have altcoins waking up.

[17:26] Maybe over 7 to 10 days they outperform Bitcoin, but over the last two months, that’s not the case.

[17:29] Bitcoin and Ether are still outperforming the average basket of stocks.

[17:33] And when we look at the categories, yes, there are altcoins waking up, and yes, there are opportunities.

[17:38] But when looking at the 140 largest cryptocurrencies, we realize that in each category, there are 1, 2, or 3 winners.

[17:44] So, overall, my first observation is that it confirms what I told you in previous videos: you need to focus your portfolio on a few strong assets, especially during downturns when the market loses value.

[17:57] Why?
  Pourquoi ?

[17:59] Because if they are the ones losing the most value, they are also likely to regain it the fastest.

[18:02] If they have real fundamentals, they are the ones that will recover and bounce back when the market turns.

[18:05] But the second thing I asked myself is: despite these differences in categories, and even though these assets sometimes have nothing to do with each other, do they share common characteristics and reasons for capturing much more value?

[18:17] than other cryptos?
  que les autres cryptos ?

[18:17] I found, very often at least, three reasons that push some of these assets to lead their entire sector.

[18:24] Firstly, and it's not really a surprise, does the token actually capture the value of the network?

[18:28] And that's generally a point that is almost common to all performing cryptos.

[18:33] If the project in question generates value and that value, that cash, those revenues are ultimately connected to the token, it's the best market impact you can see.

[18:43] I'll give you three examples.
Je vais vous donner trois exemples.

[18:45] The first one, which is the perfect example, is Hyperliquid.

[18:48] Hyperliquid generates absolutely insane revenue.
Hyperliquid génère des revenus absolument insensés.

[18:50] It has activated certain mechanisms where a portion of the revenue is used to buy back HYPE tokens on the market and burn them.

[18:55] So, besides buying back the tokens and creating buying pressure that could end up in a reserve, they burn them, meaning they reduce the circulating supply.

[19:04] Fewer tokens with buying pressure makes the price go up.

[19:09] The second example, which is a bit of a middle ground, is Chainlink.

[19:10] Chainlink uses a portion of the generated revenue to convert it into tokens that are placed into a reserve.

[19:15] These tokens
  Ces jetons

[19:18] Aren't deleted, so it doesn't reduce the supply, but it still creates buying pressure when the protocol is heavily used.

[19:22] And since Chainlink generates revenue, mathematically, someone is always buying tokens.

[19:27] You know how it works: supply and demand.

[19:30] The more buyers there are, the more value the token gains.

[19:31] If the protocol truly has utility and uses part of its revenue to buy, it’s mechanical.

[19:37] A counter-example would be TRX.
  Un contre-exemple serait le TRX.

[19:37] The Tron blockchain is a chain that generates massive revenue.

[19:41] For one, it’s one of the networks with the most stablecoin circulation in the world, and the blockchain generates insane fees.

[19:47] Yet, the token does not increase in value.

[19:48] There is no direct mechanism linking the blockchain's revenue to its token.

[19:52] Now, be careful; there are some arbitrary mechanisms that have been put in place.

[19:54] When certain metrics are met, they can destroy TRX tokens.

[19:59] But since it’s rather arbitrary and not purely mechanical or publicly defined, it has no impact.

[20:03] The second possible reason is that the TRX blockchain is known to be managed by Justin Sun.

[20:06] Whether we like his management style or not isn't really the point of my video or my analysis.

[20:11] But it is true that his management is very discretionary.

[20:14] He holds the majority of the TRX supply.

[20:16] He has a real impact on his token.

[20:16] Just
  Juste

[20:18] like some centralized platforms with

[20:20] their own tokens, he could have a very

[20:22] precise and calculated approach to

[20:23] funding his token. As long as there

[20:26] isn't a global bull run, as long as

[20:27] there's no certainty the market is

[20:29] recovering, why burn cash trying to

[20:30] push his token back up? On the contrary

[20:33] , if the market turns around, people

[20:35] buy back naturally, driving the token

[20:37] price up. By maintaining sell pressure

[20:39] and selling himself, he collects cash

[20:41] —liquidity. If the market takes off,

[20:43] he can use that liquidity to accelerate

[20:45] it further and avoid disappointing his

[20:47] community. And if the market collapses,

[20:49] he can maintain, buy back, increase his

[20:51] token holdings, and stabilize his token

[20:53] price. As always, this is just a

[20:55] hypothesis; I have absolutely no idea,

[20:56] and I’m not telling you whether

[20:58] it’s right or wrong. I am telling you

[20:59] that in the world of cryptocurrency,

[21:01] this is how it works. In any case, on

[21:03] certain networks, once you know that an

[21:05] entity or a person holds a massive

[21:06] portion of its supply, you have to

[21:08] understand that these forces exist,

[21:10] that market makers allow this kind of

[21:11] thing, and that while Europe and the

[21:13] United States are more or less

[21:14] regulated today, that is not the case

[21:16] for the whole world regarding financial

[21:18] practices, even less so for crypto

[21:20] financial practices. The goal is

[21:22] therefore not to be smarter than the

[21:23] market and to not close one's eyes to

[21:24] some of its practices. In any case,

[21:26] there is a very interesting thing about

[21:27] this driver that you need to be aware

[21:29] of. On September 28th, so the day

[21:30] before yesterday at the time I'm

[21:31] filming this video, there was a

[21:32] clarification from the Securities and

[21:34] Exchange Commission. The American

[21:35] regulator. Everyone watches it because

[21:37] the United States is the only entity

[21:38] that can seize and sanction a project

[21:40] in Europe or almost anywhere in the

[21:41] world if it has broken its laws. And it

[21:43] just clarified something that allows

[21:45] many projects to change their behavior.

[21:47] If a cryptocurrency that is not

[21:48] considered a financial security, which

[21:50] was already good news because it means

[21:52] it is not subject to certain very heavy

[21:53] constraints in the United States, if

[21:55] this project decides to buy back its

[21:57] own crypto, the cryptocurrency itself

[21:58] is not reconsidered as a financial

[22:00] security. Basically, this behavior is

[22:02] not illegal and will not lead to

[22:03] sanctions or reclassification of the

[22:05] token. That is a qualification that is

[22:08] super important. It is a risk that many

[22:09] projects did not want to take. Now that

[22:11] it has been clarified, I really

[22:13] wouldn't be surprised to see plenty of

[22:15] cryptocurrencies activate this engine

[22:16] which, as you just saw in the three

[22:18] examples I gave you, is one of the main

[22:20] causes that allow a cryptocurrency to

[22:22] increase in value and capitalization

[22:24] very quickly when the market turns

[22:26] around and there is finally green and

[22:27] inflows. The second engine is a bit

[22:29] more specific, and I realize that it

[22:31] really depends on the situation. It is

[22:32] really when there are rebound effects.

[22:34] And the perfect example is the

[22:35] Robinhood blockchain that arrived,

[22:37] which brought a trend, which woke up

[22:39] some gamblers, which brought in fresh

[22:41] users and liquidity since it is the

[22:43] Robinhood community that finally got

[22:45] its network and its blockchain and, for

[22:47] example, Uniswap. Uniswap, which is a

[22:49] decentralized exchange that allows you

[22:51] to swap tokens without any

[22:52] intermediaries, is the official trading

[22:54] partner of the Robinhood blockchain. At

[22:56] that moment, there was so much new

[22:58] volume and so much liquidity that

[22:59] poured in. Keep in mind that Uniswap

[23:02] saw up to 60%of its revenue generated

[23:04] solely on this new network. Consider

[23:07] that over the last 30 days, that

[23:08] accounts for more than 58%of Uniswap's

[23:10] revenue. So, it's a decentralized

[23:12] protocol that was already generating

[23:14] revenue, yes, but it more than doubled

[23:16] the volumes it was processing just with

[23:18] a partnership on a new strategic chain.

[23:21] To show you how strong this traction is

[23:23] , when we see a trend like this, we can

[23:24] look at everything that will be

[23:26] impacted by the ripple effect. For

[23:27] example, the Robinhood blockchain is

[23:29] based on an Arbitrum blockchain stack.

[23:31] Arbitrum therefore collects 10%of the

[23:33] revenue generated by this chain. Well,

[23:36] just that alone was enough to make

[23:37] Arbitrum one of the best-performing

[23:39] Layer 2 tokens. Even if you saw it

[23:42] previously, its category is not among

[23:43] those that capture the most value. The

[23:45] third engine and the third lever,

[23:47] ultimately, is really who can buy. And

[23:49] this is where I might have an

[23:50] extrapolation of my analysis and my

[23:52] reading that I would like to share with

[23:53] you. It's more of a question mark than

[23:56] a certainty, but I am still very

[23:58] curious to get your feedback. This

[24:00] point is liquidity channels. We know

[24:02] that as soon as there is a new ETF, as

[24:03] soon as traditional finance can invest

[24:05] in a new crypto, it brings in fresh

[24:07] money and boosts the value. What's

[24:09] interesting is to see what happened,

[24:11] for example, with ZEC, which, as I told

[24:12] you at the beginning of the video, was

[24:14] not only in one of the families that

[24:15] performed the best, but also ended up

[24:17] having access to traditional finance

[24:19] since it can be traded on the New York

[24:20] Stock Exchange, or since Grayscale

[24:22] announced its intention to launch, and

[24:23] obtained, a spot ETF for it. That is

[24:26] massive liquidity in 3D. On the day of

[24:28] Grayscale's announcement, half a

[24:29] billion was announced immediately.

[24:31] Naturally, in addition to the retail

[24:33] money trend, it's a pipeline coming

[24:35] directly from Wall Street; it's gushing

[24:36] cash and making the token moon. Another

[24:39] example is the Quant project. Quant is

[24:41] a project that just announced a

[24:42] partnership with The Clearing House.

[24:44] The Clearing House is a tool and

[24:46] literally an infrastructure that is

[24:47] widely used by traditional finance,

[24:49] particularly in the banking world. At

[24:51] the moment this announcement was made,

[24:53] the Quant token completely exploded.

[24:55] Once again, why? Because it is external

[24:58] validation. It proves there is interest

[25:00] from Wall Street, and it will bring

[25:02] visibility, credibility, and indirectly

[25:03] put it on the radar of large portfolios

[25:05] arriving with fresh capital. When I

[25:08] said I was extrapolating my thinking a

[25:10] bit, it’s because I feel it reminds

[25:11] me, in any case, of what happened in

[25:12] 2017 when every single cryptocurrency

[25:14] had potential. Every cryptocurrency

[25:17] above all had so much demand that even

[25:19] if it had no potential, it would gain

[25:21] value because many people were

[25:23] discovering crypto. Everyone wanted to

[25:25] buy everything, and there were very few

[25:26] existing cryptos. So the slightest

[25:29] listing on Binance, for example, the

[25:30] slightest well-known platform that made

[25:32] a cryptocurrency available that wasn't

[25:33] before, would cause it to explode

[25:34] because everyone was looking for

[25:36] something to buy. Because everything

[25:38] that was listed gained value, so people

[25:39] bought everything that was listed. And

[25:42] the virtuous cycle, which didn't last

[25:43] very long, as you can imagine—and

[25:45] anyway, 2018 followed to correct

[25:46] everyone—literally boosted all the

[25:47] cryptos that were listed. We also saw

[25:50] it during Covid in 2021; the slightest

[25:51] listing pushed everything higher. Now,

[25:53] I get the impression it’s different.

[25:54] It’s not retail. Retail is not here

[25:56] yet. The euphoria is not here yet. On

[25:58] the other hand, Wall Street is starting

[25:59] to play. And everything that enters

[26:01] Wall Street's field of vision, whether

[26:03] through the integration of an official

[26:05] product, an ETF, an ETN, a legal way to

[26:07] invest in a cryptocurrency product, or

[26:09] even legal validation, regulatory

[26:11] authorization, or a strategic

[26:13] partnership with a major player in the

[26:15] traditional world, well, it gives the

[26:17] project crazy visibility and it

[26:18] explodes. I might be wrong, and I

[26:20] remind you that it is never completely

[26:22] accurate. There is always a

[26:23] counterexample to justify the situation

[26:24] and to show that this is not always the

[26:26] case. But I would say that this third

[26:28] driver is the wiring, meaning the

[26:29] capacity to have liquidity; but also,

[26:31] is it or is it not becoming visible to

[26:33] traditional finance, which for the

[26:35] moment—though that may change—is

[26:37] the one bringing in new liquidity? Well

[26:39] , as always with these three drivers, I

[26:40] remind you that sometimes they are

[26:41] already priced in, especially regarding

[26:42] these announcements. Sometimes, it's

[26:44] the announcement that will drive the

[26:46] price up, and when it's officially

[26:47] wired, there's nothing left because

[26:48] that was exactly the rumor you had to

[26:49] buy and the news you had to sell. Don't

[26:52] forget that there is a difference

[26:53] between the communications and the

[26:55] actual implementation of some of these

[26:56] partnerships and some of these wirings.

[26:58] We see it very often: it's when an ETF

[26:59] is announced that it goes up, and not

[27:01] necessarily when it becomes available.

[27:02] When it is available, we look to see if

[27:04] there is really any liquidity coming in

[27:05] or going out. And finally, I remind you

[27:07] that all of this is conditioned by the

[27:09] overall market trend. When the market

[27:11] is bearish, when the market is in a

[27:12] bear market, when no one wants to hear

[27:14] about it anymore, all these

[27:15] announcements have almost no impact. We

[27:17] saw it clearly; it's only been for two

[27:19] months that the market has been a bit

[27:20] more optimistic, that we're starting to

[27:22] dream again and can start doing our

[27:23] analyses again. It becomes true again,

[27:26] these factors become boosts once more,

[27:27] like marketing, which works very well

[27:28] when everyone is bullish. When the

[27:30] market is doing poorly, whatever the

[27:32] announcement, it doesn't work. And that

[27:34] is why projects don't support their

[27:36] token price, don't make big

[27:37] announcements, and don't launch new

[27:39] products, because there's no point in

[27:40] swinging at thin air. You have to wait

[27:43] for the right moment and have

[27:44] announcements when the market turns

[27:45] around. And that, once again, you saw

[27:47] in my last video. Is the bull run

[27:49] starting again? Admittedly, the setup

[27:51] is good, but the final confirmation is

[27:53] there for some, while others still

[27:54] doubt it. Beyond these three drivers,

[27:56] there are also some interesting little

[27:58] things when you zoom in. For example,

[27:59] the Layer 2s that are doing very badly.

[28:01] They recovered 78%over the last two

[28:03] months, yet they have barely recovered

[28:06] 20%of their drop. What I mean to tell

[28:08] you is that if there are certain assets

[28:09] that have recovered a lot in the last

[28:10] two months, they might have almost

[28:12] doubled. But if they took an extreme

[28:15] hit and saw their price divided by 5 or

[28:16] 10 last year, well, the performance of

[28:18] the last two months doesn't mean much

[28:20] because you have to put it in

[28:21] perspective with a much more violent

[28:23] drop. Some layer ones and some layer

[28:26] twos took such a hit over a year that

[28:28] even if we look at their recent

[28:30] performance in perspective, it's

[28:32] nothing crazy. So be careful when you

[28:35] do this kind of analysis, because

[28:37] sometimes by changing your angle of

[28:38] perspective, you will realize that you

[28:40] can have extraordinary performance that

[28:42] , all things considered, isn't that

[28:44] wild or is very easily explained. What

[28:47] I mean to tell you is that just because

[28:48] a small Layer 2 had crazy performance

[28:50] over 30 days, it doesn't mean it will

[28:51] continue to maintain that growth for

[28:53] several months. Even if the

[28:54] cryptocurrency market is waking up. One

[28:56] very last interesting point: if you

[28:58] take the 20 projects that have captured

[29:00] the most value and you take the first

[29:01] letter of the name of each of these

[29:03] projects, well, it spells "subscribe."

[29:06] Not at all. No, no, don't question the

[29:08] whole video over this joke. Obviously,

[29:10] it's nonsense. It's not true at all.

[29:11] But I figured it would be a good little

[29:13] closing line. Subscribe if you like

[29:15] these little analyses. Once again,

[29:17] these are just perspectives. It doesn't

[29:18] give any certainty about the future of

[29:20] the market, but it allows you to ask

[29:21] the right questions, have the right

[29:23] benchmarks, look at the right values,

[29:24] and see during big performance days who

[29:26] benefits the most and whether it's

[29:27] consistent with this reading to see if

[29:29] the movement continues. I'm counting on

[29:30] your subscriptions. Don't hesitate to

[29:32] tell me if you are mostly aligned with

[29:33] some of these reflections or, on the

[29:35] contrary, come and temper my enthusiasm

[29:36] , add some nuance to all of this. As

[29:38] usual, I highlight the most relevant

[29:40] comments so that the user watching this

[29:42] video can form an opinion and

[29:43] supplement, beyond my content, their

[29:45] own reading and the way they compose

[29:47] their portfolio. This was Hur, and I'll

[29:49] see you next week for a new video.

[29:51] Goodbye.
