[00:02] Also in California, on the ground there in Los Angeles, looking into alleged health care fraud involving so-called businesses that authorities say may be fronts for criminals stealing billions of taxpayer dollars.
[00:11] Dr. Oz visiting these office locations in person and working with state officials to pinpoint how much home health care billing is actually going to fraud with little or no real services being provided.
[00:22] This boarded up area above my head here is a big hospice center.
[00:29] There apparently quite a few hospicees around here.
[00:31] 42 within a four block radius.
[00:33] And these guys stole $16 million.
[00:37] Listen carefully.
[00:40] The the main guy went to jail for two years stealing $16 million, which is a good trade-off for a lot of folks.
[00:47] And if you look at it, it's pretty indescript.
[00:48] There wasn't anyone really in there.
[00:50] They weren't doing any services.
[00:51] They just got an address they could claim was a hospice and then they ran the business claiming people were at home getting services which they really weren't.
