# Are XRP Holders Screwed!? What You Need To Know Now...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSXvO0HGdgk

[00:00] XRP holders, are we getting screwed?
[00:04] Is Ripple replacing XRP?
[00:07] Is Ripple going to kill XRP?
[00:10] And is Ripple completely forgetting about XRP?
[00:14] Is the use case for XRP's bridge currency side of things dead?
[00:16] And well, where does the future lie for XRP?
[00:19] Um, I'm getting a lot of questions.
[00:22] I'm also getting tagged in quite a bit of posts on X from prominent prior XRP influencers because they have switched up their stance over the years.
[00:31] Um, but I'm getting tagged in these posts and every single one of these posts are just outlining how Rorous USD is replacing XRP and what that means that XRP is going to be dead, right?
[00:42] And it's kind of crazy to me because I don't think people understand how blockchains work.
[00:47] And we're what almost 20 years now into this technology.
[00:52] And it's wild to me because they don't understand that what's ever beneficial for the network is also beneficial for the underlying asset.
[00:59] And everyone's
[01:01] like, "Oh, well, you know, XRP being used as a gas token is not going to promote much value at all for XRP."
[01:05] And I just don't understand how we got to that destination.
[01:09] Um, so I want to go over that and I actually want to talk about it and uh maybe this will answer a lot of questions and concerns that people do have regarding XRP.
[01:17] So let's actually start off with, you know, a few things.
[01:21] I actually want to start off with price action because obviously price action right now in this market is definitely not that favorable for the bullish side of things.
[01:29] However, we are getting exactly what we expected uh which is a retest of around like a $127.
[01:35] Now, I would love for on the weekly candle close, which is tomorrow.
[01:38] Um, I would love for us to actually close above a $131.
[01:45] So, this is where I'm really kind of looking at, you know, the the weekly candle close being maybe a nice little wick down here.
[01:51] We kind of just regain this.
[01:53] Uh, the main thing that we want to see is the opposite of what happened back here where, you know, if we do have multiple taps of this support, we
[02:02] Actually hold it and we have that big push back to the upside.
[02:05] So ultimately, if you wanted to kind of get a little bit of a, you know, nice insight on TA, that's basically what I'm looking at.
[02:11] Um, you know, for, you know, XRP right now.
[02:14] So, let's see what happens.
[02:16] Um, right now, you know, things are just in terms of price action.
[02:18] It's a little rough because of what Bitcoin is doing.
[02:22] It's not just XRP.
[02:24] Like, even in terms of like the top gainers today, there's practically nothing really moving all that much.
[02:28] Um, even in the last seven days, things have been kind of boring.
[02:31] I mean, in the top 100, you only have five outliers here.
[02:34] And it's kind of wild because again, if you go back just like two weeks ago, things were flying.
[02:41] So, you could tell how things have changed a bit in the market.
[02:46] Um, but beyond XRP, beyond the, you know, price action, you know, let's look at ROUSD because, you know, ROUSD is starting to gain some momentum.
[02:52] You know, we are seeing monthly transfer volume up 3 plus% which is at $18 billion.
[02:58] Uh the good thing about the transfer volume is that although yes, a lot of it is on Ethereum, we also still see about like
[03:04] $1.5 billion dollars on the XRP ledger every week or so.
[03:06] Uh which is very good.
[03:09] And by the way, this has slowly but surely, you know, gotten to this point over time since the beginning of the year.
[03:15] Uh in terms of actual like market cap value on like the XRP ledger compared to Ethereum, this kind of goes, you know, handinhand.
[03:23] Sometimes you'll have like that 50/50 split, but right now you see Ethereum kind of accounting for a little bit more than XRP.
[03:31] It's about roughly over $300 billion or so.
[03:34] Uh or $300 million, sorry.
[03:37] Um so that's not like too crazy.
[03:37] We're at like 1.3 billion for Ethereum and about 1 billion for XRP.
[03:41] So again, like I said, like the comparison here between Ethereum and XRP because again, in the in the beginning it was, oh, Ripple cares only about Ethereum.
[03:51] They don't care about XRP.
[03:53] But that quickly changed once we start to see, you know, this rise back here where, you know, XRP was actually stealing the show compared to Ethereum.
[04:01] Um, but again, like that's that's what I mean like people are so quick to be
[04:04] Impulsive and jump on this sort of idea that like, oh, XRP's dead because of X, Y, and Z or like Ripple just killed XRP most of the times.
[04:12] Like I know that you guys think that bullish headlines creates a ton of hype and, you know, gets a ton of clicks.
[04:19] The same can be said for bearish headlines.
[04:21] If I made a video tomorrow saying Ripple just dumped XRP and you know they they did this with XRP or whatever, it's going to get clicks because people are concerned on both sides.
[04:34] They are concerned about the bullish side and also the bearish side.
[04:37] So again like I I come back to this because I do feel like a lot of it is engagement farming.
[04:44] But looking at the numbers here for um XRP like we are seeing monthly transfer like transfer count of ROUSD up 107% in the last 30 days like we are seeing 9 plus million transfers here uh with ROUSD.
[05:00] Also the the monthly transfer volume is up 40 plus% at 6.4 billion as well and holders are nearing.
[05:07] 70,000 compared to like the 13.5 on on Ethereum.
[05:10] And this is something that I have been tracking closely because this is very very good statistics for you know rod and it's showing us that you know things are starting to scale a bit and I think that the numbers here are pretty clear as well when you are looking at the 30-day transfer volume of both even RWA and stable coins.
[05:25] Uh, stable coins are actually up about 25% in the last 30 days, which is awesome to see.
[05:32] And um, I've been tracking this.
[05:34] I I mean, if we are looking at everything here for XRP, um, XRP is doing just fine.
[05:39] Like I don't I don't think that there's anything to be really concerned about when it comes back to stable coin initiatives.
[05:44] Um, the funny thing about stable coins is like people still, like I said, I come back to the whole idea of like how have stable coins benefited the networks that they are on.
[05:54] And if you look at the networks that stable coins are mainly on, it's Ethereum.
[05:59] $147 billion are on Ethereum in terms of stable coins, guys.
[06:03] Ethereum still has a market cap of $292 billion.
[06:10] And people are wondering like why is that?
[06:11] Well, it's because like stable coins live on Ethereum.
[06:13] majority of the state like if we look at the stablecoin transfer volume here in the last 30 days it's $1.5 trillion RWA transfer volume 6.22 22 billion.
[06:24] And the funny thing about this is the main driver of why Ethereum is worth what it is is because of DeFi as well.
[06:31] And guess what?
[06:36] Every single one of those, guess how Ethereum is utilized?
[06:39] As a gas token, the same way XRP would be used as a gas token for RLUSD.
[06:47] It's called network effects.
[06:49] Apparently, people don't know that network effects are very bullish for the underlying asset.
[06:56] So, when I come back to this, I also look at what's being said out there in the X communities.
[07:01] Um, and this is the the post that I got tagged in on.
[07:06] So, again, this is from King Solomon, iov_owl.
[07:09] Uh, been a fan of, you know, Owl's post
[07:12] Since going all the way back to like 2020, 2021.
[07:13] Um, great research.
[07:17] I'm not going to take that away at all.
[07:17] But I I do think that when we look at what's happening here, yes, obviously Ripple has pushed away from on demand liquidity.
[07:24] They launched Ripple payments.
[07:26] Now, I will go over that here in a second.
[07:28] Um, but yeah, we could see these insights.
[07:31] Like, if you actually look at these uh links and stuff, they do track pretty much everything.
[07:37] I wanted to open up Ripple's website real quick just to kind of show you guys a few things.
[07:39] But here we have Ripple's institutional payment strategy has evolved considerably since 2019.
[07:42] So, a review of Ripple's own published statements documents its evolution from XRP based on demand liquidity to a broader institutional payments platform supporting both XRP and ROUSD and other settlement assets.
[07:55] The evolution is particularly evident when comparing Ripple's historical positioning of XRP with its more recent positioning of ROUSD.
[08:02] And again, this is where the idea of like, all right, is XRP getting replaced by ROUSD?
[08:06] You know, that's where that's coming from.
[08:10] like everyone's looking at what Ripple has
[08:12] Been posting, what's they've been announcing and yes, a lot of it has centered ROUSD is like the settlement assets.
[08:18] However, like the thing about ROUSD being like the currency being moved, the XRP ledger is still the network settling that value anyway.
[08:27] So XRP is still being utilized.
[08:30] It's just not like the center asset, which is that a big deal?
[08:33] Is that like a massive blow to XRP?
[08:35] Not exactly.
[08:37] And I'll talk about why here in a moment.
[08:40] But here we have Ripple marketing on demand liquidity for instance crossber settlement 24/7 illi liquidity access reduced pre-unding requirements improved the working capital efficiency crossber treasury management and then we also have like some of the recent announcements back in like 2022 where you know or XRP was being utilized as a bridge currency between fiat and also uh you know this is just like on demand liquidity uh based payments as well and then we also have 2023 Ripple payments got announced.
[09:07] So, Ripple announced the evolution of Ripple net into Ripple payments, expanding its existing crypto-enabled payments infrastructure into a broader
[09:12] offering with additional liquidity options, traditional payments uh or payout networks, and enterprise payment services.
[09:18] Again, this is where people are like running with the whole idea that like Ripple just does not care about XRP anymore.
[09:22] Um, it's funny because like if you look at the solutions here, so right off the rip, I'm going to go over here to this payout in stable coins or fiat globally.
[09:32] Uh, and then I also want to go to the Ripple payment stack.
[09:34] So, it's funny because we look at this and like obviously yes, everyone's going to say like ROUSD, ROUSD.
[09:41] Uh, yes, we do still see RO USD being heavily promoted in a lot of these announcements or in the payment stack, but we still know that XRP can be utilized within these stacks.
[09:49] Even if we come back to the whole idea of like the payments network or payouts with, you know, crypto payroll and stuff, XRP is the main settlement ledger anyways here.
[10:01] And they're still pushing that.
[10:03] And this is again like even with stable coin payouts or you still have on demand liquidity as well.
[10:07] Like this is where XRP really kind of comes in clutch.
[10:11] Um but also even within like Ripple
[10:13] Payments like if you go onto their website and you study like Ripple payments and this the full stack like XRP can still be utilized even within Ripple payments.
[10:21] Maybe they're not like fully promoting it but it can still be utilized within the the core stack here uh for Ripple payments.
[10:30] But if we come back over here, we do have Oro USD launches in 2024, the end of December.
[10:37] Uh, and yeah, like this is where everyone was like, what's happening with XRP?
[10:42] And again, like I I I look at this as like a a very very good like announcement.
[10:49] I still think ROUSD is very beneficial for XRP because it's a very highass liquid asset.
[10:54] One of the biggest things on why Ethereum is as big as it is is because it was the most liquid network for DeFi.
[11:02] Like it's not about the efficiencies.
[11:05] Like yes, we know efficiencies on Ethereum are lackluster.
[11:09] I mean gas.
[11:10] Like even if we go back to 2021, you know, people were
[11:14] paying like $300 to transfer things.
[11:17] You could transfer $5 and it would cost you like almost $100.
[11:19] Like the gas fees were ridiculous.
[11:21] Which is why we come back to the whole whole idea on like why Ethereum was as big as it is.
[11:28] And the main reason why is because it was the most liquid chain since going all the way back to like 2015 2016.
[11:34] And that's mainly because enterprises and institutional players were utilizing Ethereum from that point on.
[11:36] Even JP Morgan was utilizing Ethereum back in like 2015.
[11:41] They were using private Ethereum technology.
[11:43] So like if we think about why ROSD or even stable coins in general are very bullish for XRP, they actually complement the network.
[11:50] They provide liquidity.
[11:51] They provide liquidity for high volume and highv value use cases to flow over the network which in return benefits XRP because anything that's moving over the ledger or over the network if you will XRP powers that so XRP is utilized.
[12:07] This is the biggest misconception when it comes back to like is XRP dying like no.
[12:12] In fact, like a lot of things are getting built around XRP uh that I want to
[12:16] Address and why like it makes XRP such a very strong asset right now.
[12:21] Uh but overall, like again, we're just starting to see like the full stack here.
[12:23] Um the main thing that we're starting to see is like, oh, is Ripple moving away from XRP?
[12:28] I don't think so.
[12:28] I really don't think that Ripple is moving away from XRP at all.
[12:32] People still forget that Ripple is creating the institutional DeFi portal for XRP.
[12:37] People also forget that when we come back to like everything that Ripple is starting to push here, yes, a lot of it is institutional grade adoption of digital assets.
[12:46] I I really could care less about, you know, what people are saying about XRP.
[12:50] Like I I I'm looking at the the facts here, like even if we think about Ever, right?
[12:56] So Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse joined Evernorth as a strategic adviser just recently on the on the 14th.
[13:02] Now again when we think about Evernorth, why is Evernorth so bullish?
[13:07] Well, because Evernorth is doing the same thing that Ripple is doing, pushing forward institutional grade adoption of digital assets including XRP.
[13:15] It's not ROUSD.
[13:19] And it's not just Brad that joined Evernorth.
[13:22] Like if we look at even Ashish Burla who was the CEO, you know, he was one of the core players at Ripple.
[13:28] In fact, he launched the first enterprise crypto product and scaled the company from startup to over a thousand employees.
[13:35] So like this is one of the key players on why Ripple is as successful as it is right now.
[13:43] And he's the CEO of Evernorth.
[13:46] On top of that, if we scroll down, okay, you have Brad Garlinghouse as an adviser.
[13:51] You also have David Schwarz as an adviser.
[13:53] So you have Ripple CEO and prior Ripple CTO.
[13:57] And then you also have the board of directors Stuart Aderati who is the CLO of Ripple.
[14:03] So you have core Ripple operators here on board of the largest XRP treasury company.
[14:11] And again let's think about ROUSD.
[14:16] Evernorth literally put out an article back on May 20th of this year and they
[14:21] titled it the swap kid.
[14:25] Why ROSD can't replace XRP.
[14:27] But this conversation still continues even today even though this this question has already been answered by the biggest names.
[14:37] Everworth's main argument is that ROUSD and XRP serve different roles and can grow together.
[14:43] ROUSD is the digital dollar.
[14:45] It is designed to maintain a dollar value and supports payments and trades where participants want dollar exposure.
[14:52] XRP can connect different assets aka the bridge currency aspect.
[14:58] The article gives the example of exchanging a tokenized treasury bill for a euro stable coin through XRP which is also another huge thing when it comes back to tokenized assets.
[15:05] A tokenized token to XRP to euro stable coin or even a dollar stable coin whatever the case may be.
[15:12] XRP can still bridge those assets.
[15:15] Ever values XRP's independence from an issuer.
[15:17] Stable coins depend on reserve management, banking relationships, and even regulatory compliance.
[15:20] Native XRP
[15:22] has no issuer that can freeze or redeem it.
[15:24] The argument extends beyond trading.
[15:28] The argu the article highlights potential uses for XRP in lending collateral and escrow arrangements.
[15:34] Evernor's thesis, as more assets move on to blockchains, demand could grow for both digital dollars and a liquid asset connecting different markets.
[15:40] And yeah, this could definitely happen.
[15:43] Now XRP is not required as a bridge for every trade, but I do believe that you know XRP will definitely be utilized to bridge a lot of assets.
[15:52] It it's not going to move all the money how on like everyone was saying back in like 2021, but I still think that it's going to be a a big bridge currency still even coming back to like a lot of the you know a lot of like what's happening right now in the space.
[16:08] You know, we think about like tokenized assets, like there's going to be hundreds of trillions of dollars tokenized on chain over time.
[16:14] I mean, th those assets are going to have to move and whether it be through a stable coin, I don't really care.
[16:20] Like again, like the volume and the value moving over these networks is
[16:24] Going to be absolutely massive.
[16:25] The network effects are going to be insane.
[16:27] Like although yes, things haven't worked out in like the short term for people.
[16:31] Like if we go back to 2021, I'm sure that a lot of people thought that by now like XRP would be worth like X amount of dollars because of like this use case or that use case.
[16:38] But things are starting to accelerate now.
[16:40] It was slow for quite a bit of time.
[16:43] And I do think that partially the the big blame there was FTX imploding, Luna imploding, the regulatory side.
[16:51] Um, but now we have like everything on board.
[16:52] We have the regulators pushing forward rules around crypto.
[16:55] We also have, you know, the the US government backing crypto in a big way.
[17:00] And at the same time, you also have the UK government.
[17:01] You also have the APAC region backing it.
[17:03] So I I I feel like things have changed drastically, which is also why we are we have the DTCC going live this month and things like that, which is very bullish.
[17:12] But to build on top of all of this, I do want to go over a few video clips.
[17:15] So here we have from Brad Garlinghouse, and this got posted from Cowboy Crypto.
[17:18] We have I don't think it ROSD competes with XRP as a different solution because really we
[17:25] think about XRP as the bridge currency.
[17:28] So if RO USD is a dollar, the bridge currency is going in and out of other currencies and having the most efficient, most liquid bridge currency between various currencies around the world, we think is a needed solution in scaling global commerce.
[17:38] Check it out.
[17:40] A robust stable coin, a trusted stable coin like Ripple USD, we think will actually help that.
[17:44] I don't think it competes with XRP as a different solution because really we think about that as the bridge currency, right?
[17:54] So it RLUSD, Ripple USD is a dollar.
[17:58] Bridge currency is going in and out of other currencies and having the most liquid, most efficient bridge currency between between various currencies around the world, we think is a needed solution uh in scaling global commerce.
[18:12] A and again this is like the simplest way of looking at it.
[18:14] Like how could a digital dollar replace a native currency that is neutral?
[18:20] It's a neutral currency.
[18:22] It makes no sense to me on how
[18:25] People can think that ROSD is going to replace XRP or like kill XRP.
[18:28] And even Monica Long, right?
[18:31] Like she put out a post back in June literally talking about how their focus is simple.
[18:37] Continue making the XRP ledger the leading blockchain for institutional payments.
[18:40] Whether that grows the utility and adoption of both ROSD and XRP, I don't care.
[18:45] Like we know that institutional players are the big money.
[18:49] Like retail mindset is the worst mindset in in terms of investing because institutional players they don't care on how long things take.
[18:56] They they know where these things are headed.
[19:00] They know that when it comes back to crypto, when it comes back to these technologies, these are going to be the technologies that power every single payment in the world.
[19:07] It it might not happen tomorrow, but it it is happening and that's why every single one of them are are moving on chain.
[19:14] Um, but on top of this, even over here, this is Ripple's SVP of stable coins, by the way, at consensus 2026 says XRP and
[19:26] ROUSD are complimentary and that everything Ripple does on the XRP ledger with ROSD requires Ripple to use XRP in the background, calling the native asset the grease and the wheels of operations.
[19:37] Big shout out to Chartner TA for posting this.
[19:39] Listen closely.
[19:41] You mean Ripple R USD and XRP?
[19:43] Well, I think they're very complimentary.
[19:44] I mean, I think what people necessarily don't understand, unless you're in the weeds, is that XRP is the native gas token to the XRP ledger.
[19:50] And so everything that we're doing on the XRP ledger with RLUSD requires us to use XRP in the background.
[19:57] It's the grease in the wheel, if you will.
[19:58] And XRP obviously has its own use cases as well.
[20:02] It was really, you know, part of the origin story of Ripple starting its payments business.
[20:05] It was the default bridge asset today with some of the lending protocols we have and other applications that have been built on the XRP ledger.
[20:11] that's being posted as collateral.
[20:13] From a payment standpoint, we like to offer customers optionality and so many of our payments customers continue to use XRP.
[20:21] We had been a top five mentor of USDC uh in in the past in our payments business and that was part
[20:27] of the the catalyst to launch our own
[20:29] stable coin. And so now we've got
[20:31] optionality for those who want to use a
[20:32] stable coin in payments. We've got RLUSD
[20:34] plumbed in if you want to continue using
[20:36] XRP. It's cheap, it's fast, it's
[20:38] resilient. So lots of utility. I think
[20:40] it's very complimentary.
[20:42] And yeah, it is. And that's also why I
[20:46] keep looking at like some of these
[20:47] recent announcements. Even with standard
[20:48] charter, right, with LMAX, ROUSD on the
[20:51] XRP ledger. We even look at Cross River
[20:56] ROUSD on the XRP ledger. The XRP ledger
[20:59] is being tapped in as a new rail because
[21:02] of ROUSD
[21:04] and even transact. Like every single one
[21:06] of these announcements now with ROUSD,
[21:09] it includes the XRP ledger in a large
[21:11] way. XRP is becoming the center of a lot
[21:14] of these announcements because well, at
[21:16] the end of the day, what's good for
[21:18] ROUSD is good for the XRP ledger and
[21:21] XRP.
[21:23] It's as simple as this. You have a
[21:25] regulated digital dollar on the XRP
[21:27] ledger. anything that's successful for
[21:30] that that digital dollar is beneficial
[21:33] for the networks that it's tokenized on
[21:35] or issued out on. And when you have
[21:39] ROUSD growing, multiplying, being tapped
[21:43] in on a lot of these use cases, it's
[21:45] being utilized for everyday
[21:46] transactions, whatever the case may be,
[21:48] that volume and that value is moving
[21:50] over that network. XRP is being utilized
[21:52] for every single one of those
[21:53] transactions. If a dollar moves, if $10
[21:56] moves, if a trillion dollars moves, XRP
[21:59] is the underlying token for moving that
[22:02] value still, which means that network
[22:04] effect is going to be very beneficial
[22:07] for the XRPL and XRP, which means the
[22:09] volume and the value could very well
[22:11] significantly impact the value of the
[22:13] underlying gas token. In this case, it's
[22:15] XRP. Very similar to what happens with
[22:17] Ethereum or any network in that case,
[22:20] Bitcoin. Why did Bitcoin go to $226,000
[22:23] per you know coin? Oh yeah, that's
[22:25] right. Because of people buying,
[22:26] selling, trading, holding it. It's all a
[22:30] network effect. But in this case, I do
[22:33] believe that the institutional network
[22:35] effect for XRP when you combine both
[22:38] Ripple structure and Evernote structure
[22:40] is 10 times more bullish than what
[22:43] happened with Bitcoin or Ethereum and
[22:45] maybe and maybe even 10x you know the
[22:48] the you know use case value here is
[22:51] conservative because again we don't know
[22:53] what type of volume and value to expect.
[22:55] are just being told, you know, $114
[22:58] trillion from the DTCC. The FX market,
[23:02] you know, is 10 plus trillion dollars a
[23:03] day. So, like, there is so much that is
[23:06] possible here for XRP that makes it
[23:09] very, very bullish. I know that everyone
[23:12] wanted $10,000 per coin. I don't think
[23:14] that that's the case here, but I still
[23:16] think that XRP is going to be very
[23:18] successful and make a lot of people very
[23:19] happy that are, you know, taking this
[23:21] investing thing very serious. I think
[23:23] that there's a lot of people out there
[23:24] that are just, you know, oblivious to
[23:26] the facts and they don't want to do the
[23:28] the research. They don't want to study
[23:29] what's happening and they just want to
[23:30] be force-fed nonsense from a lot of
[23:32] accounts telling them like, "Oh, XRP is
[23:34] useless. XRP is being, you know,
[23:36] replaced." But I'm not seeing that. In
[23:38] fact, I'm seeing the opposite. I'm
[23:39] seeing XRP and the utility behind it
[23:42] being reinforced by a lot of these
[23:44] announcements. So, with that being said,
[23:45] I hope that you guys enjoyed this video.
