[01:06] तो मेंस की तैयारी में आप सबसे पहले ऑप्शनल कीजिए मेरे ओपिनियन में और उसके बाद आप लोग अपनी जीएस की तैयारी शुरू कर दीजिए और साथ में द हिंदू जो है आपका या जो भी आपको अखबार पसंद है इंडियन एक्सप्रेस वगैरह वो आप अपने ऑप्शनल के साथ ही स्टार्ट कर दीजिए और जीएस में आप सबसे पहले क्या कीजिए जीएस में आप पिटी और इकोनॉमिक्स पहले करिए क्योंकि वो जो है आपके न्यूज़पेपर्स में भी लिंक होते हैं तो न्यूज़पेपर्स आपको अच्छे समझ में आएंगे और उसके बाद फिर आप लोग क्या कीजिए जीएस वन में हिस्ट्री हिस्ट्री ज्योग्राफी और बाकी का जीएस वन फिर जीएस टू जीएस थ्री और जीएस फोर आप पहले भी कर सकते हैं आप चाहे तो एससी आप हर हफ्ते लिखिए तो इससे क्या होगा कि जब पेपर होने वाला होगा मतलब प्रीलिम्स के बाद मेंस का तो आप तब तैयारी नहीं करेंगे मेंस की आपकी मेंस की तैयारी पहले से हो चुकी होगी तो फिर आप आगे जाके अटकोगे नहीं किसी स्टेज में और दूसरी बात रही प्रीलिम्स की तो प्रीलिम्स में जैसे मेरा दो बार नहीं हुआ तो इसमें मैं आप लोग

[02:13] आप लोग नर्वस होएंगे ना तो उससे क्या होगा कि आप प्रीलिम्स में अच्छे से फोकस करके एक काम माइंड से एलिमिनेशन नहीं कर पाएंगे।
  If you get nervous, then what will happen is that you will not be able to focus well in the prelims and eliminate options with a calm mind.

[02:23] तो फर्स्ट अटेम्प्ट में जैसे मैं बहुत ज्यादा घबराई हुई थी तो मैंने क्या किया?

  You should go with a completely calm mind and try to attempt the questions well.

[02:38] दूसरी चीज मैं आप लोग को यह कहूंगी कि आप लोग जो है प्रीलिम्स में जाने से पहले मॉक टेस्ट जो है दीजिए ऑप्टिमम नंबर कम से कम 30 से 40 और उनमें आप पता करिए कि आप कितने क्वेश्चन अटेम्प्ट करके सबसे ज्यादा नंबर ला पाते हैं।
  The second thing I will tell you is that before going into the prelims, you should take mock tests, an optimum number of at least 30 to 40, and in them, find out how many questions you can attempt to get the highest score.

  So for the timetable, I will tell you all that for the timetable, you all do this, make a timetable that is most suitable for you.

  Physical exercise, for breakfast

[05:56] लिए रखती थी और उसके बाद मैं तीन से फोर

  In that break, I used to do relaxation because relaxation is also very important in our journey, and after that, in the time from 3:00 to 6:00, I used to study again.

[06:18] तो इसमें मेरा न्यूज़पेपर्स हो गया और जो भी मैं सब्जेक्ट पढ़ रही हूं उसके आंसर राइटिंग करने वाला पार्ट हो गया।
  So, this included my newspapers and the part where I do answer writing for the subject I am studying.

[06:21] तो वो मैं किया करती थी।
  So, I used to do that.

[06:23] एंड लास्ट में फिर वापस से जो हमारा रात का ब्रेक होता है 6 से 7:30 का लेकर उसके बाद मैं क्या करती थी?
  And finally, after the night break we have, from 6 to 7:30, what did I do?

[06:28] कि मैं 7:30 से 9:30 में वापस से मैं पढ़ाई करके कर देती थी।
  That from 7:30 to 9:30, I would study again.

[08:20] ओनली आईएस का YouTube चैनल है तो वहां से मैं क्या देख लेती थी कि कौन से एडिटोरियल पढ़ने चाहिए तो सेलेक्ट करने में जैसे शुरुआत में थोड़ी मुश्किल होती है तो वहां पर वो डेली एडिटोरियल डिस्कशन डालते हैं तो पूरी वीडियो तो मैं नहीं सुन पाती थी बहुत बार लेकिन वहां पे ये बताते हैं कि क्या चीज कौन से एडिटोरियल सेलेक्ट करें तो वो आप कर सकते हैं।
  There is Only IAS's YouTube channel, so I used to see from there which editorials should be read, so selecting them is a bit difficult in the beginning, so they put daily editorial discussions there, so I couldn't listen to the whole video many times, but they tell there what to select from which editorial, so you can do that.

  How to improve writing speed.

[08:40] राइटिंग स्पीड इंप्रूव करने के लिए आपको यह करना चाहिए कि पहले मैं कहूंगी आप राइटिंग कंटेंट पे फोकस कीजिए।
  To improve writing speed, you should do this: first, I would say, focus on writing content.

[09:39] मैंने भी जो पहले टेस्ट किए थे उसमें मुझे 4 एंड हाफ आवर्स लग जाते थे।
  I also used to take 4 and a half hours in the tests I did earlier.

[09:43] तो आप पहले डेली आंसर राइटिंग करिए।
  So first, do daily answer writing.

[09:47] उसमें भी आपको जितने भी मिनट एक्स्ट्रा लग रहे हैं आप धीरे-धीरे उनको कम करिए।

  Add examples from your own life and from the life of any civil servant, and for case studies, you all should refer to a very good book by R. Raja Gopalan sir.

[14:18] उसमें बहुत अच्छे से बताया गया है कि केस स्टडीज में आप क्या-क्या ऐड कर सकते हैं वैल्यू एडिशन कर सकते हैं सॉल्व कैसे कर सकते हैं तो वही उसमें प्रीवियस ईयर क्वेश्चन में गिवन है तो वो ये मेरी पूरी बुक लिस्ट रही जीएस के लिए ठीक है मैम
  It is explained very well in it what you can add to case studies, what value addition you can do, how you can solve them. So, that is given in the previous year's questions. So that was my complete book list for GS. Okay, ma'am.

[14:38] आप मोटिवेट कैसे रहते
  How do you stay motivated?

[14:40] मोटिवेशन के लिए मैं आपको कहूंगी कि इसको आप बहुत तरीकों से देख सकते हैं।
  For motivation, I would tell you that you can look at it in many ways.

[14:42] मोटिवेशन का सबसे अच्छा तरीका यह है कि आप क्या बनना चाहते हैं आप उसको हमेशा अपने मन में रखें।
  The best way for motivation is to always keep in your mind what you want to become.

[14:47] ठीक है?
  Okay?

[14:49] तो जैसे अगर आप देश के लिए आईएएस या आईएफएस या आईआरएस, आईपीएस जो भी बनना चाहते हैं तो आप एक तरीके से इतने लोगों की मदद करना चाहते हैं और आपके मन में एक अच्छी चीज है तो उसको आप भूलिए मत।
  So, for example, if you want to become an IAS, IFS, IRS, IPS, or whatever for the country, then you want to help so many people in a way, and you have a good intention in your mind, so don't forget that.

[15:03] पर जब भी आपको लगता है कि पढ़ने का मन नहीं कर रहा तो आप यह सोचिए कि आप कितनी बड़ी चीज करना चाहते हैं तो उसके लिए आज अगर हम थोड़ी सी मेहनत कर रहे हैं तो उसमें कोई भी बुराई नहीं है।
  But whenever you feel like you don't feel like studying, then think about how big a thing you want to achieve, and for that, if we are working a little hard today, then there is no harm in that.

[15:17] तो जब मेरा दो बार प्रीलिम्स नहीं निकला था तो उस टाइम मैं बहुत ज्यादा डीमोटिवेटेड थी।
  So when I did not clear the prelims twice, I was very demotivated at that time.

[15:20] मैं बहुत ज्यादा दुख में थी क्योंकि जब आपको अपना रोल नंबर नहीं मिलता है तो वो बहुत ही ज्यादा खराब फीलिंग होती है।
  I was very sad because when you don't get your roll number, it's a very bad feeling.

[15:28] मैं बहुत रोई उस टाइम पे तो यह बहुत ही मेरे लिए पर्सनल चीज थी और मैं उसको जब भी मेरा पढ़ने का मन नहीं होता था तो मैं उस फीलिंग को दोबारा याद करती थी कि मैंने इतना उस टाइम पे फेस करा बर्डन और मुझे इतना दुख पहुंचा तो क्या मैं फेलियर दोबारा फेस करना चाहती हूं।
  I cried a lot at that time, so this was a very personal thing for me, and whenever I didn't feel like studying, I would remember that feeling again, that I faced so much burden at that time and was so hurt, so do I want to face failure again.

[15:41] तो जब भी आपको डीमोटिवेटेड हो तो आप मेरी यह वाली बात याद रखना कि दोबारा डीमोट दोबारा से फेलियर फेस करने से अच्छा है कि हम आज मेहनत कर ले ताकि हमें फ्यूचर में फेलियर ना हो।
  So whenever you are demotivated, remember my words: it is better to work hard today so that we don't face failure in the future, rather than facing failure again.

[16:28] रिवीजन एंड वैल्यू एडिशन आंसर राइटिंग कैसे करना है?
  How to do revision and value addition answer writing?

[16:30] मैम? तो इन्होंने एक बार में तीन क्वेश्चंस पूछे हैं और सबसे पहले रिवीज़ की मैं बात करूं अगर तो रिवीज़ में मैं आपको यह कहूंगी कि आप लोग क्या कीजिए कि जो आप सपोज आप प्रीलिम्स के टाइम पे हैं और प्रीलिम्स के टाइम आप रिवीजन कर रहे हैं क्योंकि शुरुआत में तो आप लोग पूरे साल कवर करेंगे सिलेबस को और जब आप टेस्ट दें सपोज आपने पूरे साल में टेस्ट देने हैं आपको तो आपने पिटी पढ़ा आपने पिटी का टेस्ट दिया तो उससे पहले आपने एक बार पिटी रिवाइज कर ली और उसके बाद आप क्या कर सकते हैं कि जब आप प्रीलिम्स से दो-ती महीने पहले प्रीलिम्स की रिवीजन शुरू करेंगे तो जैसे आज आपने पिटी की रिवीजन शुरू करी तो उसके बाद आप क्या कीजिए फिर आपने हिस्ट्री पढ़ने लग गया तो उस टाइम पे आप लोग क्या कीजिए कि रात में एक घंटा या सुबह एक दो घंटे आपने मेनम पिटी की चीजें
  Ma'am? So they have asked three questions at once and first of all, if I talk about revision, then in revision I would say to you that what you do is suppose you are at the time of prelims and at the time of prelims you are revising because in the beginning you will cover the syllabus for the whole year and when you give tests, suppose you have to give tests in the whole year, so you read PT, you gave the test of PT, so before that you revised PT once and after that what you can do is when you start prelims revision two-three months before prelims, so like today you started revision of PT, so after that what you do, then you started reading history, so at that time you do what, for an hour at night or one or two hours in the morning, you have the things of PT.

  So what can you do? I am studying history that day, for six days.

[17:28] लेकिन जो सेवंथ डे है उस दिन मैंने पॉलिटी की रिवीजन कर ली
  But on the seventh day, I revised Polity.

[17:30] और जब नेक्स्ट वीक आप ज्योग्राफी पढ़ रहे हो तो उस दिन संडे वाले दिन आपने हिस्ट्री को रिवाइज़ कर लिया
  And when you are studying Geography next week, on that Sunday, you revised History.

[17:34] या फिर आप डेली बेसिस पे थोड़ा-थोड़ा करके रिवाइज कर सकते हो।
  Or you can revise a little bit daily.

[17:38] सिमिलरली आप मेंस के टाइम पे कीजिए।
  Similarly, do this during Mains preparation.

[17:40] मेंस के टाइम थोड़ा सा ज्यादा टफ होता है क्योंकि सिलेबस ज्यादा होता है।
  Mains preparation is a bit tougher because the syllabus is larger.

[17:43] लेकिन मेंस में भी आप यही कीजिए कि आपने पहले जीएस वन पूरा पढ़ लिया तो जब जीएस टू पढ़ रहे हैं
  But even in Mains, you do this: after you have studied GS-1 completely, then when you are studying GS-2,

[17:47] तब या फिर पहले आप ये कीजिए कि जीएस वन जब आपने पूरा पढ़ लिया तब जीएस वन का टेस्ट सीखने से पहले मेनम चीज रिवाइज कर ली।
  or first, you do this: when you have studied GS-1 completely, then before learning the GS-1 test, revise the main things.

  So definitely make notes for the main subjects.

[18:22] जैसे हिस्ट्री, पॉलिटी, ज्योग्राफी इनके जरूर बनाइए।
  For example, history, polity, geography, definitely make notes for these.

[18:24] इनकी आपकी रिवीजन बहुत क्विक होगी क्योंकि पिटी में मतलब मुझे ऐसा सुनने में आया था कि लक्ष्मीकांत के नोट्स नहीं बनाते हैं लोग लेकिन मैंने बनाए जरूर क्योंकि फर्स्ट अटेम्प्ट में क्या हुआ मेरे साथ कि मैंने पिटी के कुछ चैप्टर्स के नोट्स बनाए थे और फिर कुछ के नहीं बनाए थे तो जिनके बनाए थे वो बहुत जल्दी रिवाइज हो गए और जिनके नहीं बनाए थे उनमें बहुत टाइम लगा तो मैंने सेकंड अटेम्प्ट में डिसाइड करा कि मैं सबके नोट्स जरूर बनाऊंगी पिटी हिस्ट्री में और नोट्स बनाने के लिए आप क्या कीजिए पॉलिटी हिस्ट्री जैसे सब्जेक्ट्स में आप एटलीस्ट उसको टू टू से थ्री रीडिंग्स दीजिए।
  Your revision of these will be very quick because in polity, I mean, I had heard that people don't make notes for Laxmikant, but I definitely made them because what happened with me in the first attempt was that I had made notes for some chapters of polity and then for some I hadn't. So the ones I made were revised very quickly, and the ones I didn't make took a lot of time. So in the second attempt, I decided that I will definitely make notes for all of them in polity history, and to make notes, what you should do is, for subjects like polity history, give it at least two to three readings.

[18:55] जब आप टू से थ्री रीडिंग्स दे देंगे तो आपको एक अंडरस्टैंडिंग बनेगी उस सब्जेक्ट की।
  When you give two to three readings, you will develop an understanding of that subject.

  So you will be able to make good notes for it.

[19:01] उसको क्रिस्प फॉर्म में बना पाएंगे।
  You will be able to make it in a crisp form.

[19:02] फॉर एग्जांपल पिटी में नोट्स बनाते समय आप आर्टिकल नंबर जरूर मेंशन करो शुरुआत में कि प्रेसिडेंट आर्टिकल 53 इन पार्ट फाइव ऑफ द कॉन्स्टिट्यूशन।
  For example, while making notes in polity, definitely mention the article number at the beginning, like President Article 53 in Part Five of the Constitution.

[19:11] आप ज्योग्राफी के नोट्स बना रहे हो तो आप मैप जरूर बनाओ।
  If you are making notes for geography, then definitely make a map.

  And make flowcharts in polity, geography, history.

  Why did the revolt of 1857 happen?

  So you made these causes.

[19:23] वहां पे आपने हिस्टोरिकल रीज़न लिख दिए।
  There you wrote historical reasons.

[19:24] या फिर पॉलिटिकल रीजन, इकोनमिक रीज़ इस तरीके से आपका एक फ्लो चार्ट बन जाएगा।
  Or political reasons, economic reasons, in this way, you will have a flow chart.

[19:28] तो अपने नोट्स में ही आप ये बनाएंगे जब तो इससे आपकी जल्दी रिवीजन भी होगी और आपकी आंसर राइटिंग भी पहले से ही अपने आप अच्छी हो जाएगी।
  So when you make this in your notes, you will revise quickly and your answer writing will automatically improve.

[19:38] दूसरी चीज मैं आपको यह कहूंगी कि जो आपका ये नोट्स बनाने का है तो कुछ सब्जेक्ट कम इंपॉर्टेंट होते हैं।
  The second thing I would tell you is that regarding making notes, some subjects are less important.

[19:42] जैसे कि वर्ल्ड हिस्ट्री, सोसाइटी।
  Like World History, Society.

[19:45] तो इनमें आप एक रीडिंग करके भी नोट्स बना सकते हैं।
  So in these, you can also make notes by just reading.

  How to start answer writing?

[19:51] तो यहां पे मैं ये कहूंगी कि आप आंसर राइटिंग के लिए क्या कीजिए कि सबसे पहले आप अपना एक सब्जेक्ट पकड़िए और उसको पढ़िए और जब आप उस सब्जेक्ट को पढ़ लिए सपोज आपने हिस्ट्री पढ़ा और आपने हिस्ट्री में रिवोल्ट ऑफ 1857 पढ़ा तो फिर आप क्या करिए उसका प्रीवियस ईयर क्वेश्चन सर्च करिए और वहां पे आपको क्या मिलेगा कि यूपीएससी ने अभी तक उस पे तीन चार क्वेश्चन पूछे हुए हैं।
  So here I would say that for answer writing, what you should do is first pick a subject and read it, and when you have read that subject, suppose you read History and in History you read the Revolt of 1857, then what you should do is search for its previous year questions, and there you will find that UPSC has asked three or four questions on it so far.
