If I tell you that the cause of half of your problems is not your luck and your circumstances, but your own 'Gana', would you believe it?

Friends, the day you recognize your 'Gana', that very day you will begin to understand why you feel comfortable in certain situations.

Why do you have repeated conflicts with some people?

Why do some habits not go away even after a million attempts?

And how do some people manage to walk effortlessly on paths that seem difficult for you to walk on?

Hearing this for the first time might sound strange because, in today's time, most people know a lot about themselves.

They know their name, their zodiac sign, their constellation, and everything about their education, job, and family.

But there is one thing that most people do not know about.

Whereas in our ancient knowledge, it has been considered an important key to understanding human nature.

  That is 'Gana'.

Just take a look at your life.

  Put it in.

Have you ever felt that some people are calm by nature?

They feel joy in helping others.

  Spiritual subjects attract them.

They want to stay away from quarrels.

On the other hand, some people are always full of ambition.

They want to do something big.

They want to achieve something, they want to become something.

And some people are seen who are repeatedly drawn towards anger, stubbornness, conflict, and confrontation.

Is this just a result of upbringing?

Is it just the influence of the environment, or is there some deeper reason hidden behind it?

Our sages had considered this question thousands of years ago.

They observed that even though the external appearance of every human being may be different, their internal nature follows certain patterns, and based on this, they explained the concept of Ganas.

But do not make a very big mistake here.

As soon as people [hear about] Deva Gana, Manushya Gana, and

As soon as they hear the name of the Rakshasa Gana, they immediately start making judgments.

They think that the Deva Gana is superior.

The Manushya Gana is ordinary and the Rakshasa Gana is bad.

But the words of the scriptures are not so superficial.

If you think so, you will never be able to understand the true meaning of the Ganas.

Because a Gana is not proof of a person being good or bad.

A Gana is merely a medium to understand one's basic tendencies.

Just as there are different types of trees in the same forest.

Some are Peepal, some are Banyan, some are Neem.

Can we say that one tree is good and another is bad?

  No.

Every tree has its own nature.

In the same way, every human also has an internal nature.

And when they live their life according to their nature, their life becomes relatively easier.

But when they try to become like someone else without understanding their own nature, then the struggle begins.

This is the reason why some people spend their whole lives imitating others.

They keep doing it and still cannot be satisfied.

They think that if they had a job like a certain person, success like a certain person, or a life like a certain person, they would be happy, but that never happens because the problem is not outside.

The problem is that they do not know themselves.

Adi Shankaracharya repeatedly said that man's greatest ignorance is not not knowing the world.

Man's greatest ignorance is not knowing himself, and until a man knows himself, most of his problems remain.

  Just think.

If a person is calm and reflective by nature, but starts living a highly competitive life only because society considers it successful, then stress will arise within him.

On the other hand, if a person is hardworking and energetic by nature but binds himself in such circumstances where his energy is only used

If it doesn't happen, he will also remain unhappy.

The cause of both their sorrows appears to be different.

But the root cause is the same.

  Not recognizing one's own nature.

This is the reason why self-introduction (self-realization) has been given so much importance in our ancient knowledge.

Today, people want to know what will happen in the future.

They want to know whether they will get success or not, whether they will get wealth or not.

  When will the marriage happen?

  When will luck change?

But the perspective of the sages was different.

They used to say that before knowing the future, know yourself, because for one who knows oneself, the direction of life begins to become clear, and one who does not know oneself remains confused even in favorable circumstances.

Now the question is, how does the 'Gana' actually affect our lives?

Is this just a concept of astrology, or is there some deep psychological and spiritual understanding behind it?

  Is it hidden?

To understand the answer to this question, we have to see where human problems actually originate.

Most people believe that their problems are external.

Someone says that my problem is money.

Someone says that my problem is relationships.

Someone says that my problem is health.

But if we look deeply, we will find that two different people react completely differently in the same situation.

One person remains calm even in difficulty.

While another breaks down even over a small problem.

  Why is this?

Because the nature that views the event is more important than the event itself.

This is the reason why the same world appears as an opportunity to some and as a struggle to others.

The same situation appears as a lesson to some and as injustice to others.

And this difference is not created by the external world.

This difference is created by the inner nature.

The secret of the 'gan' also begins from this point.

  Our sages saw that

Some people are compassionate by nature.

  Some are ambitious by nature.

  Some are aggressive by nature.

  Some are attracted towards knowledge.

Some towards power, some towards indulgence.

And these tendencies influence their decisions, relationships, actions, and ultimately the direction of their lives.

Therefore, if a person understands their basic nature, they can understand many of the complexities of their life beforehand.

But here, one more important thing must be understood.

Guna (nature/quality) is not a permanent prison.

This is not a stamp that has been placed on you forever.

Our scriptures say that humans have the capacity for change.

This is the reason why spiritual practice has been given so much importance.

If change were not possible, then there would be no meaning to spiritual practice.

Therefore, the purpose of understanding Guna is not to limit oneself.

The purpose is to understand oneself.

Just as a doctor first identifies the disease and then treats it.

Similarly, in the journey of self-realization, it is necessary to first understand one's own nature.

And this is the reason why knowing one's 'Gana' is considered so important.

Because when you begin to understand which tendencies are most active within you.

Then you begin to understand your behavior, your weaknesses, your strengths, and the patterns of your life.

Only then can you truly change the direction of your life.

But now the biggest question arises.

After all, what is the real meaning of Deva Gana, Manushya Gana, and Rakshasa Gana?

  Are these just mythological terms?

Or is there a deep secret of human nature hidden behind them?

Today, most people get confused as soon as they hear these words.

Especially upon hearing the word 'Rakshasa Gana', an image of a demon or a cruel person forms in their minds.

  But the scriptures...

The meaning is not just that superficial.

If we limit these words only to mythological characters, we will never be able to understand the deep knowledge hidden behind them.

In reality, these three Ganas are indicators of the different tendencies working within a human being.

  [Music]

Understanding them is like cleaning a mirror placed inside one's mind, because when this mirror is clean, a person can see themselves clearly for the first time.

First of all, let's talk about Dev Gana.

Dev Gana does not mean that a person has become a god or that they have no flaws.

Dev Gana means a nature in which compassion, balance, patience, integrity, and spiritual inclination are relatively higher.

Such people naturally want to help others.

They do not like unnecessary conflict.

They seek harmony both within themselves and outside.

If they achieve any success, they

They want to use it not only for themselves but also for the benefit of others.

Such people are often attracted to subjects like truth, righteousness, and self-realization.

But understand one important thing here.

The biggest challenge for people with Dev Gana is also linked to this very nature of theirs.

  Sometimes they become overly sensitive.

They take the pain of others within themselves.

Often they trust people too quickly and then get hurt.

Often they are unable to defend their rights because their mind wants to avoid conflict.

Therefore, Dev Gana is not just power.

Some challenges also come with it.

Now let's talk about Manushya Gana.

This is the most interesting Gana because both balance and conflict are present in it.

People with Manushya Gana are neither completely spiritual nor completely materialistic.

They are attracted in both directions.

Within them, there is both ambition and morality.

  They also want success and...

  Peace too.

They want to move forward in the world and also want to remain satisfied from within.

This is the reason why conflict is often seen more in the lives of such people.

One day they run after a goal with full strength, and the next day they think, what is the purpose of doing all this after all?

  [Music]

They make decisions and then start questioning the same decision.

Their life often becomes a journey of finding balance.

But this is also their greatest potential because if a person with 'Manushya Gana' finds the right direction, they can establish a wonderful balance in both the world and spirituality.

Now let's come to that 'Gana' which has been most misunderstood.

  Rakshasa Gana.

First of all, understand that Rakshasa Gana does not mean wickedness.

In the scriptures, the word 'Rakshasa' has also been used for a special type of powerful and intense nature.

Such people have a lot of energy.

  Their determination.

  It is strong.

They are not afraid to take risks.

They can struggle for their desires.

They have the courage to walk against the crowd.

If we look at history, we will find that many great warriors, rulers, and change-makers had such intensity.

The problem arises when this power is separated from wisdom.

Then that same energy can take the form of anger, ego, stubbornness, and destructive behavior.

Therefore, the true meaning of Rakshasa Gana is not evil.

It means immense power that needs the right direction.

Just as fire can cook food and also burn down a house.

Similarly, if such a nature is not conscious, it can create difficulties for oneself and others.

Now, just look at your own life.

Have you ever noticed that some people get angry even over small things?

While some people, even in difficult situations.

  Do they remain calm?

Have you noticed that some people think about the well-being of others all the time?

While some people look for their own benefit in every situation.

Have you realized that for some people, spiritual topics are naturally attractive?

While some people do not give them any importance at all.

These are the signs through which we can understand our nature.

But there is another deeper secret here.

Most people do not have the tendency of only one Guna within them.

All three types of tendencies are present in some measure.

The only difference is which of those tendencies is the most influential.

This is the reason why a person is not completely god-like or completely demonic.

There are many levels within a human being.

According to the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya, the problem begins when a human becomes a slave to their tendencies.

If anger arises and they make it their identity, then they become a prisoner of anger.

  It becomes.

If ambition arises and one gets lost in it, then one becomes a prisoner of that ambition.

If compassion arises but there is no wisdom with it, then it too can become a cause of suffering.

Therefore, Shankaracharya's goal was not just to understand the tendencies.

His goal was to rise above them.

But before rising above, it is necessary to recognize them.

Because how will you be free from that which you do not even recognize?

This is the reason why knowing your own qualities can end half of life's problems.

Because as soon as you understand your nature, you also start understanding the reasons hidden behind your behavior.

Then you realize why you make the same mistakes again and again.

Why do certain specific situations disturb you so much?

Why do some people attract you immediately and why do some people make you uncomfortable immediately?

Then you [start seeing] the external world

You stop blaming and start looking within yourself, and this is where real change begins.

But now the most important question arises.

If every person is under the influence of a particular Gana, will they remain limited to it for their entire life?

Will someone with a Deva Gana always remain a Deva Gana?

Can someone with a Rakshasa Gana never change their nature?

And if change is possible, how does it happen?

This is the secret that our sages gave the most importance to, because a human's greatest power is not their current nature but their ability to rise above it, and further in the video, we will understand this final secret because that is where we will find out that according to Adi Shankaracharya, the goal of a human is not just to know their Gana but to go beyond it, and that knowledge shows the direction to end not just half, but almost all the problems of life.

But now we [continue] this journey.

We have reached the most important stage.

Because until now we have understood that every human being has a specific nature.

Which our scriptures have explained in the form of Deva Gana, Manushya Gana, and Rakshasa Gana.

We have also seen that many problems in life are actually born not from our circumstances but from our own tendencies.

But now the biggest question stands before us.

If a person's Gana influences their nature, will they remain a prisoner of that same nature for their entire life?

Will someone with Deva Gana always remain the same?

Can someone with Rakshasa Gana never change?

And most importantly, if knowing one's Gana ends half of life's problems, then how will the remaining half be resolved?

This is the point where Adi Shankaracharya's perspective differs from general astrological interpretations.

  Because Shankaracharya

They do not just say to recognize your nature.

They say to recognize your nature but do not stop there.

Because you are even greater than your nature.

  Please consider this point deeply.

If a person says that I am angry, then what are they actually saying?

They are saying that anger is a part of my nature.

But if they can see the anger, it means that there is also someone within them who is not anger.

If a person says that I am ambitious, then there is also someone within them who is watching that ambition.

If someone says that I am calm, then there is also someone within them who is experiencing that peace.

And this is where the greatest secret of Advaita Vedanta begins.

Shankaracharya says that the one who is watching the anger, the one who is watching the compassion, the one who is watching the ambition, the one who is watching the fear...

The one who is watching is your true nature, and it is not bound by any category.

Think about it, clouds come and go in the sky.

  Sometimes there are black clouds.

Sometimes white, sometimes storms, sometimes rain.

But the sky itself does not change.

Similarly, many tendencies arise and cease within a human being.

Sometimes the divine tendencies become strong.

Sometimes human tendencies, sometimes demonic tendencies.

But the one who is the witness of all these is beyond all of them.

This is the reason why Shankaracharya's ultimate goal is not just to understand the categories, but to recognize the witness.

Because as long as a human continues to identify themselves only based on their tendencies, they will remain limited.

They will say, 'I am like this.'

  I am like that.

  My nature is like this.

  I cannot change.

  But as soon as they...

When one begins to recognize the witness, the door to transformation opens.

This is the reason why our sages called self-realization the greatest knowledge, because no knowledge in the world can tell you your true identity.

Now, just think about your life.

Isn't it true that many times you must have said to yourself, 'This is just my nature'?

  I get angry quickly.

  I am very emotional.

  I am very lazy.

  I am ambitious.

But have you ever thought about who it is that is saying all this?

If you were truly just anger, you would never be able to say, 'I am getting angry'.

If you were truly just fear, you would never be able to say, 'I am feeling afraid'.

For this to be said, the presence of a witness is necessary.

And according to Shankaracharya, this witness is your true nature.

Now perhaps you have started to understand why knowing yourself ends half of life's problems.

Because then you begin to understand your behavior and your reactions.

But the rest of life's problems end when you realize that you are not just your tendencies.

You are much more than them.

For example, if a person is influenced by the intense energy of the Rakshasa Gana, then they must understand their power.

But at the same time, they must also understand that they are not just that power.

If a person is influenced by the compassion of the Deva Gana, then they must understand their sensitivity.

But at the same time, they must also know that they are not just that sensitivity.

Because as soon as we cling to any one identity, the bondage begins at that very moment.

This is the reason why Shankaracharya repeatedly says, you are not this, you are not that.

You are not the body, you are not the mind, you are not the thoughts.

And if you are none of these, then
