[02:44] Most Christians have been taught to approach God as beggars.
[02:48] They come to prayer limping, hesitant, full of qualifiers.

[03:02] Lord, please, if you can find it in your heart to move on my behalf.
[03:09] And they wonder why the heavens feel like brass.
[03:14] Here is what I discovered decades ago that shook my entire understanding of the faith.
[03:18] We have prayed for what we already possess.

[03:25] The cross did not merely open a possibility for your healing.
[03:28] It secured it.
[03:30] The cross did not merely suggest that you might have authority over the enemy.
[03:34] It established it legally, permanently, and completely.
[03:40] The resurrection confirmed it.
[03:42] The exaltation of Jesus Christ to the right hand of the Father declared it over all principalities and powers.

[04:18] But revelation without expression is powerless.
[04:22] That is where declaration comes in.
[04:24] Confession builds the road over which faith carries its mighty cargo.

[04:32] Your mouth is not merely a passive instrument.
[04:35] It is the mechanism by which spiritual reality breaks into physical experience.

[05:33] Because I will not ask you to speak anything that heaven has not already spoken first.
[05:40] Jesus in Mark 11:23 made one of the most stunning statements recorded in all of scripture.
[05:48] He said, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith."

[06:27] The entire redemption narrative begins with God speaking.

[06:33] God does not act in silence.
[06:36] God speaks.
[06:38] And when the believer, who carries the nature of God by new birth, opens his mouth and speaks in alignment with heaven, something moves.
